Nukearcher, that's a really illogical question. When the subjects arrive at Jagex Studios, they are made to sign a contract so that they can't blurt out what they: saw, did and tested. If they tell someone, that breaches said contract and can be sued by Jagex. Its highly doubtful that they had to sign a secrecy contract considering that they were below 16 years of age. They would be prohibited to take images or other data it is all that probably happened. Considering the small amount and age of the applicants I doubt we will see any reports about it out here. You never know, considering there is no update this week what they where testing may be out next week (pretty much every time we have had an announced no update week something big has followed it).

I like slayer because of variety. If i had to kill the same thing over and over for hours on end i would not bother with it. Its not like slayer these days is a major money maker. If they were to add such a slayer master thats gave 1000+ tasks, i defiantly would not use and i'm sure i'm not the only one. Sure it would be nice to get 1000+ of something you like, but there are 10+ things that i would not really be interested doing 1000 on and i would rather save my points for a cash boost at the end of it all.

If you have a router none of the above will really work, since its the router that gets overloaded and not your computer, and if you could monitor it by the time you have detected it you would have lost connection anyway. Also getting a new ip via ipconfig will temporary make you lose connection too. Likewise if you have 2 computers on your home network they will both still share the same external IP address. Unfortunately most home grade routers and firmware do not really provide much protection against dos attacks.

Did say it should not be part of the game? Quit making presumptions. But creating auras of uncertainty always creates that opportunity for merchers to destabilise items. At least when they announce changes everyone has the opportunity to decide what to do with their items at the same time. And as for me most of my items i got myself so I really could not care less as I have always gained either way.

Unless you were merching them you don't need to worry about the value of your items,their still dragon claws if thats what you paid for. That makes no sense, no one really likes losing money on their items. Although can't see how this update has any negative effects with claws, since players (76kers) are less safe they will be easier targets for claw pjers/rushers.

And as for saying that they don't use their own connection, i have seen many that do (and it does not take many resources to run it). Although the likelihood of anyone getting action taken against them from it is pretty slim. :( If it's a program, it probably uses a host server, as what good is a DDOS if you're going to put as much traffic on your lines as the lines you're trying to congest? True but there is no way of really telling who the user is. Sending someone a link to a page or an image would be enough however. Whereas IRC is alot more accurate. Anyway its a DOS not DDos, pretty sure its just constant pinging of the rs port which could easily be done from one source. Simple way around it is BNC or reset your IP before pking and don't visit any IRC while doing so..

Just out my personal taste: Skeletal Wyverns (Cba with them) Hellhounds (^) Steel Dragons (^) Warped Terrorbirds (^) Scarabites i do at pyramid (after missing my mummy) Greaters i do at wildy volcano, no annoying dogs and its usually quite. Black demons i do at CT with pray, charms+drops makes it worth the cost. I use shilo so the rest are pretty nice tasks. I would rather spend 400 points on blocking long annoying tasks as i'll make it back and some, within a few lvls. + I want to keep task count till 99.
