  1. Oy vey, here come the Excel spreadsheets... Can you guys at least make some pie charts this time? :)
  2. [hide=Not actually spoilers but it sort of relates to them so]Consider my interest piqued. Do tell. [/hide] [hide]One character is revealed, in post-quest lore, to be glad she's no longer a boy. This was probably requested by the person who suggested this quest in RuneLabs.[/hide] spoilers [hide]Specifically its Angof. You don't need to wait until post-quest, just read the journal in her house. She used her shapeshifting powers to turn female[/hide]Shouldn't you technically say "he" because at the time this power was performed they were technically male? Also, does this bit need spoiler tags? As for the quest coding, anyone else have mental images of the people working on SGS items are working in a brightly lit office full of freshly made coffee/tea while quest work is being done by two poor guys in a badly ventilated storage closet?
  3. I'm actually a little disappointed a Grenwall hadn't absconded with a piece of Seren.
  4. It still surprises me how much work done in coding is trial and error. :p
  5. Or it appears you can skill past them instead? I appreciate that because I do quests for the story in them, not for difficult boss encounters. Especially ones that make no sense to have in a quest. Nomad...
  6. How challenging is the combat compared to FoTG. I had much trouble with that due to certain physical limitations.
  7. Feel free to stop posting here since you hate the game and all of us.But if he leaves who's going to make me seem polite and reasonable? Better I suppose than the perpetual moment of silence that hangs about this board too often these days. no one

  9. I agree that with the advances in the game and how Flinstone-ian that old tick cycle is it can be updated and changed. You could shorten the tick length and increase the amount in a cycle. They could for real improve the mechanics of that skill, but that requires core engine work which isn't very sexy as far as updates to announce. Everyone wants a new boss. I think a more interesting discussion is could Runescape survive an entire year of no new content to retrench and fundamentally fix the game. Would it be worth it to reinvent the game a bit. I certainly don't think their current model is good for the long term health of the game.
  10. Then those things all would be issues would core game code. Which then means they're can then be fixes that takes minutes to hours to days or weeks to fix. It also means it could be a small issue for a certain amount of people and not be a high priority. I think the biggest misconception was the way to address the issue was to be incredibly rude and combative to the people on a fansite while at the same time being dismissive and condescending to others who may have had a different opinion.
  11. They really are just graphical errors. And they have gone through a bit of hassle to make it feasible to play on Legacy settings. I have many issues with this company, but I can't fault their graphics team nor their core engine team very often.
  12. I meant to say didn't follow it. I forgot a word, then went to bed. I don't think Kimberly likes me much. :p
  13. At least they follow the usual procedure of ignoring it for 6 months, then fixing it when it's too late.
  14. I thought last week was the Patch Notes week? :p
  15. At that point you are modifying existing content and completely changing how it's always worked.
  16. It would've made sense if it had proper punctuation, but the way presented was sounded as if he was to give an opinion or an appraisal of the idea, hence why it sounded incomplete.
  17. Is what? The idea is what? You didn't complete your thought. :p
  18. I'm offering a critique of the company using either facetious or satirical language.
  19. Well Jagex is known for doing things people want in a timely manner. They aren't notorious for being years late on things.
  20. They weren't sure because it was never going anywhere with Jagex. And I'm talking about long before there were journals.
  21. Or the question of its so close to Comp why do it in the first place? Maybe go back to what people always wanted in the first place?
  22. If you're likely to get Comp it's all probably stuff you've done anyway.
  23. Depends how vocal the Meta-baters get with wanting it.
  24. Seriously. This one was "in the can" for a while as it were and no one took a look at it and thought it underwhelming? I thought they had personal accounts over there. Anyone playing this game would know immediately the rewards were crap.
  25. Did they purposely develop new, dead content?
