  1. This is a good thread, nicely compiled questions. Sure, get skills like cooking, fletching and some other easier ones to high enough level to stew to open effigies. Gilformen, asking money for 97 cooking is noobish, but I can't see anything wrong with asking some money for 97 craft/smith/rc/cs assist. It can be a pain to find those assists for free sometimes. OP, I'd use them for 95 prayer, as you said you value money more than time. Nerdbomber, you said your bank is 20-30m at any given time. I think we are the same type of players, I am also poor. :P Is slayer the only way you make money? If you haven't already, may I suggest looking into farming herbs? Good money for minimum effort. 3-5 herbs runs a day for a couple of weeks and you will have doubled your bank. :P
  2. SUPPORT. I would literally kill a man if it meant I could play Poker on Runescape. I swear to God, I would. I'm a right Poker addict... Too bad I'm no good at it! :P Excellent idea. Lets actually encourage kids to gamble  Because Runescape is a game for kids right? No, but it has kids playing it. Are they supposed to be learning poker, roulette etc. while playing RS? No, didn't think so. Don't put poker, unless it's video poker, to the same jar where roulette is. ty.
  3. I think it's pretty obvious that he simply doesn't want to admit to himself that he made a bad choice when buying CLS over CR.
  4. Totally random, but funny :P
  5. Making multiple runes per essence doesn't give any extra experience. You should make those runes where banking is the fastest. I think "fast free air runes" in world 16 is in business again. Not sure tho. Check it out.
  6. Indeed highest level plates with sc hammers. But you can throw in the smithing brawlers if you have them, and use ancient mage teleport (spell lvl 78 I think) to teleport to wilderness, and nearby there is spot for smithing. The gloves would last for only 1/2 of the XP gains because of SC hammer, but the amount of XP is still the same.
  7. Basically a casino game. If you do it for high amounts of money, with trusted players, there is no need to scam, as hosting the game itself is ridiculously profitable, granted you offer the "right" odds. The game is played by stupid people, just as almost all of the casino games.
  8. Unicorn+guthans should last you as long as your prayer potions last, if you decide to always pray mage (suggested).
  9. DKs is one of the best gp/hr out there atm  It varies a lot for different people with different abilities. As OP has low summoning, doesn't have overloads, doesn't have chaotic weapons, he is not going to earn like 3-4m gp/h. I am in the same shoes. I miss all those 3 things. And I have earned about 1.5m/h over the last 30 hours or so. It's pretty annoying if everyone thinks everyone can use yak, ovls, chaotics...
  10. How do you expect to win money at doing something you don't have an advantage over in the long term? Not saying someone can't make money at duelling, but it seems that duelling is not the best option for someone with your mindset about gambling. Besides, duelling is fickle at the moment. Either you lose your money by not bug abusing to bug abusers, or win money by bug abusing and lose it all once the banhammer falls. I'd suggest you to find something fun to do to replace the staking. Really.
  11. Never enter a casino. And I suggest never enter the duel arena. If you wager something on you know you have AT BEST 50% chance of winning, and keep doing that repetitively, then may I suggest you take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamblers_Anonymous ? Sorry if my post is not helpful on the topic of getting the 1st hit, but if you are wise, you wont need to learn how to get it.
  12. You should really browse through some of the recent threads about money making. There are so many of those. In those threads, look for posts by Quyneax, as he always gives good advice.
  13. Sounds like you don't enjoy anything. Take a break. But if you really want to do something.... Seriously, try DK's. Get it as a slayer task. Read the 2.5 guide. It's quite fun actually. I've killed ~400 DK's lately solo as slayer tasks and I really have enjoyed it. The gp/h is not awesome, but should be higher than camping abby demons.
  14. World Runescape peace? :) In all seriousness, I agree with losing the "loading, please wait" screen when walking/running/teleporting around. Would make gameplay much more enjoyable. And one more thing. I really enjoy full screen mode, but I can not play with it. I have a 24" monitor, with 1920x1200 resolution. When I play full screen, the interface is so far down the bottom right end of screen. I have a good mouse with good dpi, but it still takes too much effort and time to play efficiently. The solution for that would be an adjustable position and size for the user interface.
  15. Finally a decent solo DK trip. :P
  16. Really? If you will not work on improving your commentary, I'd suggest putting a nice song instead of it. Seriously, I don't want to insult you, but your weird laughing and "welllllllllll, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" expressions made you sound like a 12-year old. :| I am not saying this because I am trying to mock you, I am saying it because you should work on that. Cheers And not to be spamming, here are some random pictures from years back. Probably from around 2006 :P

I don't know how it works nowadays, but years ago when I played PC to level up some magic, I used ice burst there. The monsters used to pile up quite a lot, and it was a pretty effective way to get the spinners off the portals. + the PC points would add a lot to the magic xp. I don't know if it still works that way, I haven't visited PC for years. Oh, PC = Pest Control.
  18. Thanks for the comment. I'll try to show it you from a different perspective :) Say someone reads this guide and decides to go for 200M cooking XP. Lets assume he has 13M xp already. He needs 187M XP. Making wines normally, getting 700k XP an hour, it would take him ~267 hours to reach that goal. Making wines with brawlers, getting 2.3M XP an hour, it would take him ~81 hours to reach that goal. While spending 186 hours on getting cooking brawlers is possible, it is highly unlikely. If you dedicate yourself on getting the gloves, I assure you - it will probably not take more than 186 hours. Not to mention that making wines with brawlers is actually 4 times cheaper, too. Cheers!
  19. Cant teleport above level 20 wildy I thought... With glory, you can teleport up to from level 30 wilderness. There may be some other ways, but this is the one I know that works for sure.
  20. So should I just kill revs and pray it drops a pair of cooking brawlers? If it is the only way to obtain brawlers, then yes. :P
  21. No, just the ones that post ^.^ Thanks everyone for the positive feedback!
  22. Hey! If any of you guys want to go to 200m xp in cooking... I wrote a guide. http://forum.tip.it/topic/286504-revolution-in-cooking-23mxp-per-hour/ By following this guide you can get 2.3m+ xp/h, at 0.9gp/xp =)
  23. Greetings! This is my first ever guide, I will try to keep it very simple and concrete. 1. What do I need? Skill levels, items, etc? [hide] * Cooking level of 35+ * Grapes * Jugs of water * Magic 78+ (Not required, but suggested) * Access to ancient magicks. (Not required, but suggested) * Amulets of Glory(4) OR Duelling rings(8) (Both not required, but suggested) * Brawling gloves (cooking) <- A must [/hide] 2. How it works: [hide] When you make wines, by mixing grapes into jugs of water, they normally take 10-15 seconds to ferment. Meaning, you have to wait 10-15 seconds to receive the xp for it. It doesn't matter if the unfermented wines sit in your bank or inventory. The 10-15 seconds proccess of fermenting can be altered. If you keep making unfermented wines continuously, without stopping for more than 10 seconds, you will not recieve the XP until you do stop. Lets imagine: You make 100 unfermented wines. You are wearing your cooking brawler gloves. Quickly after depositing the last 14 unfermented wines to your bank, you grab 2 law runes, 3 fire runes and 2 air runes and teleport to the wilderness using ancient magicks level 78 (Dareeyak teleport) teleportion spell. As you might know, brawler gloves give 4 X the normal XP when worn in the wilderness, therefor, right after you teleport to the wilderness, the unfermented wines in your bank will become normal wines, thus you are gaining XP for them. And you indeed get 4 X the normal XP. After gaining the XP, you run 2-3 wilderness levels south and teleport to edgeville with the amulet of glory or castle wars bank with your duelling ring. [/hide] 3. Ahhh, I see! This is awesome! The XP/h must be unseen! And how much does it cost? [hide] You are right! I got 2.3M XP/h. This test was done without mousekeys or any other help. Simply relaxed playing. I don't really know a lot about using mousekeys, using markers, but I hear that using those gadgets can raise your efficiency quite a lot. I would estimate that by using mousekeys and with very concentrated gameplay you could achive up to 2.7M XP/h. And about the cost... This is probably one of the cheapest ways to train cooking. Yes, you can make profit with cooking rocktails(thanks to Amethyst_Gem for pointing that out), but considering the speed of the XP, losing some money is not going to be an issue. I bought my grapes for 450 each, and jugs of water for 275 each. Meaning 725 gp per wine. XP for 1 wine = 800 XP Cost of 1 cooking XP with this method = 0.9 GP [/hide] 4. This is cool and everything, but brawler gloves only last 10 hours/1M XP! And how am I supposed to get my hands into some comfy cooking brawler gloves anyway? [hide] Wrong. Brawler gloves last for 1,200 XP gains! This means, by making only 100 unfermented wines at a time and then teleporting to wilderness, your cooking brawlers would last for 1200 * (800 * 100) = 96,000,000 XP! That is a lot. You could easily get 200M XP with just one pair. The average portion of unfermented wines you would need to make each time before teleporting to wilderness would be ~210. I don't suggest banking more than 250 unfermented wines at a time. Sometimes you might get disconnected, or do some really bad misclicks, in which case the extra XP would be wasted. If you didn't know before, brawler gloves are only dropped by revenants. Adding a section how to kill revenants would basically mean writing a new guide. I suggest you use this link for information about them: http://forum.tip.it/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&andor_type=and&sid=8b502585d28c36eb8036967bb0d0e8b1&content_title_only=1&search_term=revenant&search_app=forums (This is a link to a search on tip.it forums) [/hide] 5. Dude, this guide is boring. No pictures or anything... [hide] Notice the XP counter. :) [/hide] 6. But I don't have access to ancient magicks! [hide] Well, then, all I can say is: too bad. Start training! Not really! There is an alternative way! You can use the bank in high-level wilderness. The bank is undergound, near the mage arena, accessed by a teleportion lever. As soon as you want the awesome 4 X XP, use the lever to teleport back to the wilderness. This method is not suggested by me. Mage arena bank is crowded with PK'ers, the banker inside the banking area moves around, which makes it pretty annoying. But, if you don't have access to ancient magicks, and decide to go with the mage arena bank, be sure to bring a sharp weapon or a knife, to cut through the spider webs. [/hide] 7. Are there any other methods other than mage bank/level 78 wilderness tele? [hide] Yes. If you have already tired this, you know that using this method, you can not allow almost any misclicks. Today, I made over 400 unfermented wines. When I started to pull out the runes for teleport, my mouse started lagging, only costing me about 2-3 seconds. But that was enough - I received the xp for the wines in the bank. :( As suggested by my dear friend xpx, you could also use a lava titan teleport. You need at least 83 summoning for that. A lava titan teleports you to level 41 wilderness, though. But teleporting with a familiar is so much faster than withdrawing the runes for teleport. There is very little chance that you will not make it into the wilderness before the wines ferment. There is a downside, and I think you already noticed it. You have to run from level 41 wilderness to level 30, to use glory teleport. Not the most efficient way, but if you want to guarantee the bonus XP from every portion, then this is the way to go. [/hide] 8. Thanks, etc. [hide] Many thanks to our forum global moderator Quyneax for being a nice person and wishing me good luck on writing this guide! Also, I appreciate xpx's advice on some aspects of this guide :) I understand that this guide is missing a lot of stuff, like how to get to the mage arena bank, and so on, but I think I got all the essentials covered. There may be some massive grammatical errors. English is not my native language, even though that's not a real excuse for me. Bare with it. :) Feel free to point out any typos and grammatical errors, I will fix them. And be sure to mention if I left out something important. Cheers and happy wine making! [/hide]
  24. Hey. I was wondering, what are the ways you can attain huge amounts of xp/h? Obviously you get like 10m+ xp/h if you have hundreds of effigies and you have all the needed skills at 97+. But that is not what I am looking for. Like simple skilling. You buy supplies and skill and get XP. I know wines are like 700k xp/h. Burning magic logs with brawlers should be good too. + x2 if you add the horn. But the highest? What do you think? Also, summoning with blue charms. But that requires a lot of work beforehand, and is usually not going to be lasting for more than an hour.
  25. SirIzenhime, sorry for asking this pretty stupid question, but surely guthans is not needed when you have a unicorn? I understand correctly if you meant guthans+titan? :P Anyway, since I even dont have a unicorn, I am still at loss which way is better. Supreme+Rex or simply Rex. Also, a few years back, pretty popular way of getting Prime off of you was simply drinking prayer up, standing in the Rex safespot and x-logging and picking a new world, where Prime wouldn't be attacking you. It worked almost always, rarely heard of someone dying. Is this method still used? Does it still work? :P
