So I've read a bunch of posts here but there doesn't seem to be anything too special about the new update. Could somebody please tell me, and everyone else, what cool things are now available, if any? New items? New ways to train skills? etc etc etc

In a way I'm against PC too because I hate it. But it's at least twice as fast as plain old training so that's how I train a lot of the time. When I get combat 126 I will no way consider myself a PC product though. I was level 99 when I got back from my year-long break and PC wasn't around when I played before. Anyways we're getting off topic here.

Alright listen up. THE LEVELS AREN'T STORED AS DOUBLE DIGITS. They are stored as XP. The XP just translates into digits. If JAGeX ever needed to change the system then how hard would it be to back-up everybody's xp and just upload that over the new script? I mean a good responsible game host makes back-ups of all servers regularly right?

You are wrong. You cannot say that RuneScape is not currently equipt with the means to have more than 99 in a skill. One word my friend... POTIONS. And even if RS wasn't capable, which it is, then I doubt people would lose stats. Do you have any idea how simple it is to just upload a new piece of code without affecting everything else? It's like php and mysql. Two completely different things, but they go together great. Mysql is where the data is stored, and php is the code that stores the data.

I'd like to hear what you guys think about the idea of raising the max of a skill to something above 99. This isn't a suggestion, but the spark of a discussion. I'd like to hear your opinions regarding whether or not it would be a good thing to implement or a bad thing. I think about this sometimes. I mean the max damage just seems to keep going up and up... you can knock somebody out with two hits! JAGeX isn't going to be able to put stronger weapons in the game anymore because it will get to the point where you would be able to knock somebody out with one hit. Now how is that fair? Come to think of it... how the hell is knocking somebody out with two hits fair? Discuss.

Well if this is true then it has been implemented recently because I used to be able to leave my character at the bandits with the zamorak cape on in guthans for up to 15 hours if I wanted to. I'm not saying that I did but I'm saying that I could have. I could snap on a ring of life and not have to worry about randoms or anything.

Well I've been playing on and off for six years now and I just completed the last quest last week lol.

Top 3 items are plate, legs, and kite. And no I don't think there's any reason to give them anything special. They are a slayer task, and like most others are pointless other than for slayer. They also give little nooblets something to be scared of when doing mournings end 2.

sykoknight has a great point there. I think that would be the ultimate solution. You can get a fire cape... you just can't wear it until you defeat the fight caves.
