  1. Wow that was funny  I mean i couldn't understand what the heck was going on after the first few drawings but oh dear that was good, more pls? :D
  2. I think i prefered her in the ASDA adverts :P
  3. A lot of these animal rights protestors really are idiots, they attack and threaten scientists who are trying to cure diseases and are trying to further the advance of the already deeply troubled human race. What value graverobbing gave the arguments for the animal rights protestors is beyond me. I love animals as much as the next person (although apparently not as much as the protestors) but how you can put the rights of an animal that has never known any better and been bred for the purpose in front of the rights of a human being is once again beyond me. Animal testing for cosmetic products is wrong, i know that and i strongly dislike it. But i see animal testing that has the potential to cure terminal disease as wholly necessary, and how someone can agrue the case for a hampster against a terminally ill family member truly is beyond me. To use the phrase survival of the fittest sounds cruel, but in a way it is.
  4. Yeah what he said, schedule your time to learn them in blocks of about 10 and then when you've learnt all the blocks leave yourself some time to learn them as a whole. Good luck!

Wow the whole GCSE results thing has crept back up again, good luck to all those awaiting results, thankfully i won't be receiving mine for another 2 years. :D But i guess the coursework all starts when i go back.
  6. Depends really, i know a guy who pumped himself full of protein supplements and did heavy weight training from a young age. He's 18 now and about 5'5" but could probably rip a house in half. But he wants to become a wrestler so he'll have to keep up to it, if you don't and lose your muscle bulk at that height you're not really in good stead. I worked out when I was 14-15. Now my height is 180cm, my older brother is 190cm and my younger brother is 190cm too. Could be just a coinsidense. But working out does take a lot of energy so it can leave less energy to growing taller. Could be a coincidence but his brother who is a bit older is tall and slim. ANd remember, "working out" isn't the same as doing the kind of training that he did. Generally you don't need to do massive weight lifting under 16, some is fine but just don't overdo it.
  7. some one been reading dan brown?  I wondered if someone might notice, but if you read the background on the system it makes sense that it could be impossible to crack, if not also at the moment impossible to implement. And just for the record, i don't believe everything he says, but this particular thing interested me so i did some background research on it, it works out  Edit: Just fallen victim to my own stupidity, i realise that even if you can't crack the code, if you could install a keylogger that copied the code you could still gain entry. However if you could implenent that kind of security system you'd hope you could also buy a good anti-spyware program.

  9. How about a spoon and a gun? The thing is, you don't need to gouge his eyes out. You could intercept the encryption information when he scans his eyes, copy that and imprint it into the scanner. No security encrytion system is flawless, except for a rotating cleartext function...but they're theoretical.
  10. Meh, i can't see this claim holding.
  11. All that coke cannot be good for your body, but it'll be your teeth that'll take the brunt of the damage. I only started drinking coke a couple of years ago, and i actually prefer the diet stuff, the taste is a bit sharper. I only try to drink it when i go out or on special occasions when everybody else has a drink, otherwise i have water, or when i wake up and before i go to bed i have ribena.
  12. One of my earliest nightmares was when me and my family and friends were staying at a log cabin in some woods somewhere, and these aliens came down made of polystyrene tubes and carboards toilet paper tubes. We formed a resistence and took a few down but to say they were recylable they were unbelievably strong, and they got most of my friends, and i woke up just as one was about to get my mum
  13. The problem is, even though the guy was arrested, it's not like he can serve a major jail sentence for things that happen in a game. Sure it upset some people and he probably made some cash, but he'll maybe get a hefty fine, a short prison sentence and a computer ban, but since when has that stopped anybody? They can arrest all the bot users they want, but the criminal courts are busy enough, and the prisons crowded enough so that most of them will just get off with a fine and a limited computer ban (most people could argue that they need a pc for work). I remember the case of a paedophile who got let out of jail after 6 months, and if someone like that is getting that kind of sentence then i can't see bot users being punished to the full extent of the law. ^^All the above aplies to the UK btw.
  14. Except for those gel fingerprint sensors, but they're impractical and expensive.
  15. My friend and i were joking about sniffing pepper up our noses, and we both had our hands with pepper on near our noses, and then someone said something and we laughed so hard we kinda snorted the pepper...
  16. It might replace passwords in a few years or so...those computer geeks'll probably find a way to by-pass it by then.
  17. 1. Hendrix 2. Eric Clapton 3. Pete Townshend (i'm suprised more people don't have him) 4. Jimmy Paige 5. John Frusciante
  18. That's pathetic. You get no help or sympathy from me. completely unnecessary.. this guy has come to sb for help and advice on quitting something that him (and many others) have 'fallen victim' to. and you shut him down without any information about him or his life. I respect this guy and admire his courage. come on bubsa I really expected more from you :( Likewise, the guy is admitting he has a problem, admitting what he has done is wrong, and admitting he is not proud of it. He needs help, and encouragement, not people saying that because of his past he doesn't deserve help now. Otherwise how can we help people who have alchohol or drug problems? We treat them because they want help, and don't judge them because of the things they have done.
  19. Am i the only one who can't hear the [bleep]ens what they're saying? :?

Now listening to - The Zephyr Song- from the By the Way album by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I love their music, it's mostly chilled out you can listen to it in most situations. The Zephyr Song is one of my favourites, despite the fact that i haven't played it much recently. The lyrics seem appropriate for this time of year, there's a good guitar solo and the whole song is a superb example of the Chili's new, more modern music style. It's just one of those songs that you put on, and don't need to alter the volume to get the harmony right, you just smile, sit back and let the music take you away. I won't post the album cover since some might consider it mildy offensive.
  21. There are various methods and techniques used to help you give up. I would recommend using a proffessional helpline since they are experts in it. We're mostly guessing. Different techniques for different people. Personally i would recommend this. Throw them away, in a big bin where you can't get them back. Find some pictures of blackened lungs and look at them every time you want a smoke. Think about it, do you really like smoking? or are you just doing it because you think you'll like it, and you crave it. Think about the money your spending on it, save it, or spend it on something nice. Think about the damage you're doing to yourself, inhaling SMOKE, if you continue smoking you might well develop lung cancer or other cancers later in life, and have to go through chemo, and put your family and friends through knowing that you might not survive. Every time you put a cigarrette in your mouth and light it up, you take time off your life, you are slowly killing yourself. So just give up, now, and never smoke again.
  22. Wow

Yeah i know what you mean, the equations are a drag, and actually i find maths the most boring sciency subject, since most of it has little practical application. I've considered maths A-level but i think economics would be more useful...whoops rambling on again :P
  23. Lil bit off topic but at the funeral of the girl that was killed by accident by her boyfriend in a jetskiing accident, they played the song "you're beautiful". If you listen to the lyrics they are actually very appropriate. Anyway haven't got the album, and "you're beautiful" is overplayed but his great voice makes it acceptable.
  24. Wow

Blasphemy! :P Anyway yeah, i find space physics particularly interesting since it is directly applicable without having to think of examples. I did a project on the history of astrological physics history as well, and found it completely mind boggling just how much they knew back then, without all the complex equipment today. I've often considered a career in astrophysics since i just find it so interesting (call me sad but it's just like one of those odd fascinations).
  25. That's an entirely unusual type of statement. Of course it might be different if you are 7 feet tall ( ) but i doubt this guy is. It might also depend on the way you position yourself on the saddle, if it hurts, your doing it wrong, either alter the saddle height or handlebar position. Or you can get different saddle types. Bikes are designed not to hurt that particular area, since so many males use them it's not like there's a correlation between male anatomy and the ability to cycle. You might not want to wear them but padded shorts do help over longer distances, but for my mid level rides (30-50 miles) i find normal shorts just acceptable (i'm a teenager so have a thing for trying not to wear padded lycra in public places :P) . Of course some people wear them for quick 5 mile rides but it's purely down to personal preference, and the terrain you go over. For instance i'm sure that cycling even 20 miles without changing position would be tough on the "plumbing", but try to stand up on the pedals for short (or long as yoru fitness increases) bursts of energy or to change position. Exercise bikes are all well and good but they are incredibly boring. True biking is much more interesting, with the sights and sounds, and varying conditions and terrain. Not only is it good for you it's also good fun.
