Official site: http://www.tootsie.com/ "The Tootsie Pop, also known as the Tootsie Roll Pop, is a hard-candy lollipop with a chocolatey, chewy Tootsie Roll filling at its center. The Tootsie Pop was invented in 1931 by the Sweets Company of America, which changed its name in 1966 to Tootsie Roll Industries, Inc." Whats your favourite advert? commercial for you Americans :p
I like a few: All the iPod ones with the funky music and dancing. I love the Peter Kay ones, especially the one where he tries to get rid of his mother to put her in a retirement home, and she's only like 50, and he says something like: "comon' your going in a home luv" "why? i'm only 50" "because we want to put a pool table in your room and the kids are afraid of your moustache" No nonesense :D Oh and the guinness one's, especially the new one for the extra cold, where they all run into the sea like in the infamous surfing one, but run out because it is too cold :D

Police shoot and kill suicide bomber in London
Even on a warm London day? Anyway the padded jacket wasn't the main suspicion, it was the fact that he came out of a house that was under surveillance, and bolted when the police tried to stop him, even though he spoke perfect english according to his cousin.

Police shoot and kill suicide bomber in London
Actually they were SFO, (specialist firearms officers) but they are indeed SAS trained. And as for the whole "saying they were police" thing. Firstly it's part of the SFO handbook that you tell them your police before engaging in fire, and if they confronted him in the first place they would have said they were police otherwise he would of suspected them. And although i agree that he was a fool to run from men with guns, it's also unlikely the UNDERCOVER (hint hint) police would approach him and be walking around with guns. We don't know why he bolted, seemed suspicious but now it seems that he did so without reason.

World Series of Poker
Personally i don't watch much, because i'm pretty sure poker wasn't really designed as a spectator sport :P (heck is it even a sport?..anyway). It's more fun to play, not with real money but it's just interesting using all the different strategies, and that's the only time i watch it, to get a feel for the game.

my essay to get into boarding skl
Maybe try elaborating on how the actual events changed your life and got you more aware of the world around you. At the moment you seem to do a lot of describing what happened, but only really get round to making any statements about how it has influenced your life in the conclusion. Expanding more on that would make it more interesting and relevant. Of course there are the other general points about capital letters, punctuation and paragraphs, which make it much more readable. Off topic: Notice how everyone's spelling and grammar in this topic is really good? For fear of being picked out as a hypocrit? :P

who is the oldest player on runescape?
And if you wish death upon others then you are one of them. I'm sure you didn't mean to imply what you did, but think about what you say and post, i agree with you that joking about these incidents is extremely immature and disrespectful, but so is wishing death upon one another.

Police shoot and kill suicide bomber in London
The thing is though they didn't kill him instantly, they gave him a chance to come quietly, the police WILL have told him that they were plain clothes police officers before brandishing their firearms (which were high quality military anyway). But instead they ran, and chased him some considerable time and i'm sure that all of them will have wanted to arrest him nicely, so that's why this just didn't open fire instantly. It was only when he ran onto a crowded train, (which if they still thought he was a terrorist would be sending alarm bells ringing), that they shot him, to ensure 100% that he wasn't a danger. Terrorists, especially the amateurs, which they presumed this guy to be, are extremely dangerous, and you can't take any chances with people who are willing to strap bombs to them. So IMO given the information that the police had they acted in the right way. It turns out he's innocent, but don't blame the officers, because if i'd been told he WAS a suicide bomber then i would of acted in that way. He wasn't, it was a intelligence mess-up, which probably wasn't the officers fault, or it might have been, it's unlikely we'll know until the investigation is finished. But the police killing 1 innocent man does in no way make us "just as bad" as all the terrorists. They kill mercilessly without remorse and brutally with no regard for sacred human life. The officers acted based on the information they were given, and unfortunately for the Brazilian he acted like a suspicious terrorist too.

Bubsa Goes Back To Africa
Well, I was in the local regional paper for raising ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã470 for CR this year. For every skittle I ate, 1 by 1, my sponsors would pay 1p. I got 100 sponsors and ate 470 skittles in 20 minutes. My aunt-in-law read it in the paper, rang me up...and the rest is history I guess. :) Thanks so much for the support guys, it means a great deal. I wish you were all comin' with me! :P Hope you all get to have the chance one day too, you're pretty much the swellest bunch of people I know. More missionaries like you lot is what's gonna save lives. Crikey do you have any teeth left? :P Anyway have a good time in Africa, never been myself but IMO it is always the place where i see charity being needed the most. It's in such a terrible state but gradually, through the efforts of people like you Bubsa it's getting better. I have heard some truly horrific stories of what goes on there, stories i don't like to even think about they are so sickening. I always try and give as much as i can for charity relief efforts and this year my school raised some ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã40,000 for two African charities, ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã10,000 of which was raised by my year alone doing the three peaks walk (26 miles up and down and up and down and through bogs...anyone who has done it knows what i mean) to raise money. But the people are wonderful (with obvious exceptions), and have such a positive attitude it makes me realise just how much we take our lives for granted. What always hits it home for me is the thought of 30,000 children dying daily through extreme poverty. Anyway Bubsa, have a great time and i'm really looking forward to you sharing your experiences with us.

Skittles, Skittles, Skittles!
I was going to suggest an air drop ( ) but with a 30lb pack of skittles that'd be like a bomb dropping

Quest Suggestion: The Lost Scimitar
Very nice quest idea, well thought out. I do however think the cash reward is slightly hefty, 38k is a lot in cash considering the most quests give is normally about 10k. Otherwise nice one :) Oh and elk, as for the mith 2h thing, a lot of quests give odd rewards (addy scimmy in the feud) that are only used for high alching or selling. Don't be so predjudice because of the guys history.

Best. Suggestion: Skeleton Greatar
Rune daggers high alch for a nice tidy profit, rune javelins don't.

Police shoot and kill suicide bomber in London
If i "made a fool of myself", then i apologise. I gave my opinion based on the facts that were available at the time. Next time i post something like this i'll remember to jump in my time machine, take a quick trip to the future so i can forsee what will happen in the weeks after the event, and make sure i don't get anything wrong, just to suit you. The police were in the wrong, there's no defending that. They followed this guy from a house that was under surveilance, and from what i can gather they told him to stop and he ran. I'm not condoning what the police did but if someone says "stop or we shoot", you can bet your 'wagon' i wouldn't be running anywhere, especially not onto a train. There's no need for you to twist people's words, no-one knew that this guy wasn't guilty so of course we were happy the threat had been stopped. Obviously we now know differently and no one should feel happy about what is a tragic death. The fact that you came into this thread purely to ridicule me and others says enough about you to make me realise i'm probably wasting my time saying all this, but i'm not going to be called an idiot by anyone. Nicely said Rizla, Darkness firstly, stereotyping americans like you did in your last sentence is just as bad as stereotyping all Muslims as terrorists. Both stereotypes are blatantly incorrect, and racially predjudice. Secondly, just as Rizla said, when this thread was created we were talking and posting based on the evidence we had at the time. We had no idea that he was "innocent", all we knew is that it sounded fairly secretive and connected to the bombings, the officers involved were undercover SFO's who revealed their identity in chasing him, which they don't normally do without good cause. In no way am i saying what they did was right, but at the time it sounded like they acted in the correct way. Obviously they didn't, they shot an innocent man, a rather stupid innocent man granted, but someone who was nonetheless innocent. People seem to keep hammering home the point about running away from men with guns. From what i have read in the papers, they only brandish their guns and open fire after clearly stating that they are indeed plain clothes officers. So think before you post Darkness, read through all of what we said on such a sensitive topic, and don't just go with the "lets all laugh at the fools who thought he was a terrorist" current media bandwagon.

Stupidest way you've been injured?
I think it must be during a tennis match, quite recently. It was a doubles match and i was returning serve against this dude with an awesome slice serve. Anyway he put an insane amount of spin on it, and i tried to hit it on my forehand but it spun round and caught me off guard. I don't know exactly what happened but i think i hit the top of my nose with the edge of my racket and nearly knocked myself out, but not quite. For some odd reason i couldn't see for about a minute, didn't realise it was my turn to serve, people were throwing me tennis balls to catch and i was stumling around with a fair bit of blood coming out of my nose. Eventually got my sight back (my doubles partner was still oblivious to my pain) and served and actually won my game (somehow). I think it was when i stumbled off the court with blood down my white shirt and shorts that people realised what i'd done. Hurt a fair bit later. Oh yeah, and i was out on my bike once with some friends and there was this right angles turn on a gravel dirt road on a steep downhill and we were all going down, with me in the lead. Anyway i took the corner too fast, my back wheel skidded out, put my hand out but i kept sliding down the hill. Scraped most of the skin off the palm of my hand.

Police shoot and kill suicide bomber in London
pushing someone to the floor, subduing them, and than shooting them, is known as murder in the united states....but of corse England has different laws. It's a different story when your dealing with potential suicide bombers that could kill hundreds of people if they aren't immobilised immediately. acording to your logic, the united states should hunt down, and execute (on the spot) every one who worships Islam because they have the potential to kill 100's VIA saiside bombing. I never stated that all Muslims were potential terrorists, that's blatantly ridiculous. What i am saying is that when a suspected man comes out of a house related to the previous bombings wearing a thick coat on a warm day that will raise a few eyebrows. When the undercover police confronted him (not violently at this stage) and revealed their identity as plain clothes police officers (which they have to do before engaging a suspect) he vaults a ticket barrier and runs into a busy train station. The officers gave chase and in that situation would have obviously got their guns out and threatened him with opening fire, so of course he keeps on running. After telling him to stop numerous times he keeps on running. Still wearing a heavy jacket on a hot day whilst sprinting away. He dives onto a crowded train (still wearing the jacket) and by this time in most agents books this guy poses a serious threat. Many people have died already and there's no way that they will take their chances with this guy. They kill him, immobilising any threat. Now you tell me that he wasn't acting in a way that would arouse extreme suspicion amongst highly trained professionals who don't just chase down and reveal their identity without VERY good cause. Lets face it, they could have probably of brought him down during the chase they're such crack shots, but they waited, thinking he would stop. They waited until the last possible moment before deciding to kill, waited until they were absolutely sure this wasn't just some guy who jumped at the sight of guns. I value life above all else as i have stated numerous times but i would have acted in exactly the same way if i had been in the shoes of the officers. It's all nice and good taking the idealistic pacificist view, but in a city that's being threatened daily by suicide bombers, taking chances and taking this view could cost hundreds of innocent lives. you sayed potential suiside bombers, and since islamic folk have been blowing themselves up in Iraq quite a bit latly, it would fit right in with your logic. Latest AP report http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050723/ap_ ... NlYwN0bQ-- here is a quote from that artical Now the poor person was from Brazil, which has quite a bit hotter and more humid that Jolly ol' England. the police never stated they were police, they never tryed less than lethal weapons they had (stun guns, e.t.c.) first...simple tackeled him, subdued him, and shot him 5 times Despite the fact they were plainclothes they will have made it clear to him that they were police officers before directly engaging him. And as for the "potential suicide bombers" thing, according to your logic (which is actually right) technically every single person is a potential suicide bomber, what i meant is that if a guy had a bomb on him then he was a potential suicide bomber, but would only become one if he pressed the button. Anyway i'm not going to argue anymore, turns out the guy was "innocent". There's been a serious botch up on the behalf of the intelligence and officers involved. It's horrific that an innocent man should die but the police will be on very high alert at the moment. Let's just say the guy they shot acted in the wrong way given the current situation in London. It is terrible though that the poor guy was killed. I assumed they had some more evidence on him than just the fact that he looked a bit shifty. Oh well i stand corrected.
