:: !!97 Slayer ~ 70-75 Summon ~ 134 Combat!! ::
I actually found PP really fun, wasn't until 98 that I started to get burned out by it, by which time I was so close for that to matter anyway though, hehe  Doing it with someone else is always nice, plus it helps you find the right door faster too :P Thank you :D And good luck with 200m WC xp  Thank yooou Weell, I guess I just wasn't just if i'd stick with it to begin with, wanted to be sure first :-# Sooo, I got around 73k Slayer experience earlier today, then decided to get some summoning done, since I have/had a bunch of charms in my bank from Slaying. :D Until now, i've only used green and gold charms to train my summoning, attempting to save my crims (currently have 3.1k) and blues (currently have 640) until higher levels, so I used what green and gold charms that I had (1.1k gold, 700 green) and went from 59-64 :D But now, being so close to being able to use a bunyip (which i've been wanting to try out since I heard about them) with no green and gold charms left, my crims are looking pretty damn tempting  So, depending on what I decide in the next few hours, I may or may not finally be using my bunyip for slayer tomorrow, hehe :P Also hit level 133 :)

Weekly Poll: What would you do if you lost your RS wealth?
Well, considering my total wealth is probably only around 25-30m, most of which is just a heeeeeap of junk i'm too lazy to sell, I guess i'd slowly recover  Never been too fussed about having a huge amount of money/gear, most money I do make just goes right back into training other skills. :)

Tormented Demons.
Oh, yes, that's an incredibly constructive, self explanatory statement :wall:

02-February-2009 Behind The Scenes - February
Yeah, there's a great idea, let's take the whole basis of the skill (taking tasks from masters) and make it completely redundant because a minigame is giving double the xp per hour. Thankfully Jagex seem to be smarter than you.

I apologise if it felt like it was an attack on you, I was moreso trying to give an opinion from the other side of the fence, I guess. While you may not like minigames, there are plenty of people who do and considering it's really only one week of an update you may not support, I don't really think that's enough to warrant a call to completely stop creating minigames. And no, you are more than welcome to give your opinion, just as I am going to share my opinion on something I don't agree with. ;) Check the worlds that have been devoted to a minigame, there are people playing just about every minigame on their selected worlds. ;) You may not like most of them, but that doesn't mean that they aren't still being used. I do agree, there are some minigames that just weren't that good at all, but does that mean they should give up on trying to create more enjoyable, useful minigames, just because of a few duds? :P

Which slayer tasks have you blocked out?
Used search and couldn't find a thread like this, sorry if there is :-# After recently returning to RS and completing the slayer rewards quest, the possibility of blocking out a slayer task intrigues me. I currently haven't blocked out any task, however I have cancelled iron dragons a couple of times, especially if I get them a few times close together because the task can take a long time. I do like doing them sometimes, but have been considering just giving in and blocking them out. Which brings me to my question, which, if any, slayer tasks have you used the 100 points to block out, and from which slayer master are they from? :D

All of which are designed by different teams. In the initial post I quoted you stated that you didn't want any more minigames which, I believe, is selfish. You don't like them, fine, don't play them, but to ask for Jagex to stop making them, when so many others are obviously looking foward to it seems incredibly selfish to me. However, if your true argument is that Jagex is putting too much focus on one aspect, rather than spreading it out, consider this. A minigame being released does not necessarily mean they're just focusing on minigames, but that some things can be developed more efficiently than others and, as I said, because there are several teams working on different things, it only makes sense that content is released at a certain rate (5 quests to every minigame, for example?).

So then, who's to say what a "real argumnt" is? Is "because people enjoy it" really less of an argument of "we already have too many"? The fact that people enjoy them, keep asking for them and the amount of positive feedback players give regarding most minigames are reason enough for Jagex to continue creating them. Is that real enough yet?

When people stop enjoying them? There's more than just you that plays this game. Gosh, really? Sorry, my bad then. Well now that you know hopefully you'll stop treating every update that you personally don't like as though it wasn't worth making. I was just giving my opinion, like anyone else. You might want to actually read what I said on the previous page before posting crap. So stop whining already. You mean this? I don't believe what I said could be considered to be even the least bit whiny. Complaining about an update because you're not going to use it and don't feel that it's useful however, is whiny. You asked why Jagex keeps creating minigames, I stated that it's because people enjoy playing them and are therefore worth making. You then proceeded to make an unproductive, sarcastic comment because it wasn't what you wanted to hear, obviously, and from the previous two pages, i'm not the only one thinking it.

Achieving level 99, naturally.
I'm currently 98 range, slowly moving towards 99 without "trying", I guess. The last time I actually ranged purely for xp was around 80 range. Since then, it's mostly just come from slayer tasks that are easier to range, or if i'm just in the mood to range a task, plus cannon quite alot of tasks. Other than that I guess i've used it for killingboss type monsters, and metal drags looking for drops, but that's about it.

Well, actually, 9k per hour is fairly good slayer exp depending on the situation. They had better not even give ANY slay exp. They had better not? It's a Slayer based minigame, it will almost certainly give Slayer xp whether you want it to or not. How much it's going to give is the real question. As for how much, I was thinking around the same as ninane thought, or maybe a 30m game for 4k xp, won't really know until it's released though. I am looking foward to seeing what kind of item rewards the minigame could give though, something giving +range or +mage damage on monsters while on slayer tasks (not unlike black mask) would be pretty nice.

[hide=Mindless ranting] [/hide] Why do you even play the game, when you clearly hate it and it's developers? o_O

Actually liking the sound of most of these updates, somewhat small changes which will still have a positive effect on gameplay, and another minigame is nice, especially a Slayer based one Though, as others have said, hopefully the slayer xp reward won't be too high, or no one will ever take a task again :P Doesn't really sound like it's pvp-based, guess we'll have to see though.

30-January-2009 Penguin bannings
I'd love to know where you got that i'm saying Jagex aren't allowed to do what they want to from, seriously. All I said was that I can enjoy the game without having to worry about what every single other person is doing, because I just don't care.
-
30-January-2009 Penguin bannings
Uhh... What? I really couldn't care less if they were banned or not, it may come as a surprise to you, but it is a game. If someone is taking the game so seriously that someone who cheated having the same things they do is upsetting them, they need to reconsider how much they care about a game. If someone gets something they want the way the game is designed for it to be gotten, they will have the sense of achievement that someone who cheats will never have that feeling. Seriously, people need to stop being so worried about what other people are doing, and enjoy their own game.

Combat Familiars.
Is that something Jagex designed on purpose, or because there's a techical difficulty that makes it impossible for familiars to join in combat on their own, immediately? I'm thinking the latter. Also, how well does a level 138 player with a steel titan fare in a single-combat area, compared to a level 126 player with summoning at level 1? Well well well! Equally well! How great is that -.- I think they made it like that because when your running through a monster filled dungeon, they don't want your familiar stopping every two seconds attacking the monsters that are attacking you. This would be especially annoying if its in a very strong dungeon where the monsters kill you supply familiar before you even get to the boss you want to get to. True, but there would be somewhat easy workarounds for things like that. As others have already mentioned, stances. Aggressive: Attacks anything in a certain radius Assist: Attacks anything you attack Defensive: Attacks anything that attacks you Passive: Attacks nothing unless called (whistled) in to battle
