[hide=Mindless ranting] [/hide] Why do you even play the game, when you clearly hate it and it's developers? o_O
-
Actually liking the sound of most of these updates, somewhat small changes which will still have a positive effect on gameplay, and another minigame is nice, especially a Slayer based one Though, as others have said, hopefully the slayer xp reward won't be too high, or no one will ever take a task again :P Doesn't really sound like it's pvp-based, guess we'll have to see though.

I'd love to know where you got that i'm saying Jagex aren't allowed to do what they want to from, seriously. All I said was that I can enjoy the game without having to worry about what every single other person is doing, because I just don't care.
-
Uhh... What? I really couldn't care less if they were banned or not, it may come as a surprise to you, but it is a game. If someone is taking the game so seriously that someone who cheated having the same things they do is upsetting them, they need to reconsider how much they care about a game. If someone gets something they want the way the game is designed for it to be gotten, they will have the sense of achievement that someone who cheats will never have that feeling. Seriously, people need to stop being so worried about what other people are doing, and enjoy their own game.
-
Is that something Jagex designed on purpose, or because there's a techical difficulty that makes it impossible for familiars to join in combat on their own, immediately? I'm thinking the latter. Also, how well does a level 138 player with a steel titan fare in a single-combat area, compared to a level 126 player with summoning at level 1? Well well well! Equally well! How great is that -.- I think they made it like that because when your running through a monster filled dungeon, they don't want your familiar stopping every two seconds attacking the monsters that are attacking you. This would be especially annoying if its in a very strong dungeon where the monsters kill you supply familiar before you even get to the boss you want to get to. True, but there would be somewhat easy workarounds for things like that. As others have already mentioned, stances. Aggressive: Attacks anything in a certain radius Assist: Attacks anything you attack Defensive: Attacks anything that attacks you Passive: Attacks nothing unless called (whistled) in to battle

Why? Because they nabbed 20k fast exp and you didn't? This bug doesn't hurt anybody and unless somebody got 20 99's of off it I don't see what the problem is. It isn't like the knife bug where people got like +100 str or the phat dupe that has had huge long term effects. It is just a blunder in the system that some people found and took advantage of. Is this any different than finding a safespot that shouldn't be there and soloing bosses for tons of easy cash? Not really. I think people are over reacting and the only people who should be banned are those who truly abused it and got tons and tons of extra exp. It does ruin the game. If players can reach an achievement by cheating, it loses the value for the people who reached it the legit way. How so? Would you really feel like you achieved less because someone cheated their way to one of your levels? Honestly, all the whining about other people cheating seems pretty pathetic to me. Yes, they cheated, so what? How exactly does that affect you? It's a game. The fact that a few people cheating a few levels makes so many people this "upset" should really make those people reconsider how seriously they're taking this game. Yes, they broke a rule, so Jagex will deal with them appropriately. What I don't understand is why so many people get upset over something that shouldn't affect them at all if they're taking runescape for what it is, a game. o_O Though, quotes like this offer some insight on what people's true thoughts are, which seems to be largely jealousy.

Explanation of the game here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=pengu ... d_seek.htm :) Each penguin should only be able to be found once per week, however the glitch was allowing users to "find" one of them multiple times.
-
Obviously not as I clicked it over 100 times trying to see if it would work (no I wasn't gonna abuse it, I have all the 99s I want anyways) and I'm unbanned. Uhh... What? What you said only backs up what I said o_O You clicked it more than once, and were banned, but because it didn't work they unbanned you. By under 20 (just a guess, obviously) I was referring to clicks that actually worked.
-
Because it's a game. And because they'll probably unban the ones they see as innocent. To be honest it's the best approach to ban as many as possible THEN deal with who is innocent or not. Wow yeah, let's do that always shall we: first hit somebody and then ask questions and look if it was right! Obviously they've just banned everyone who clicked the penguin even twice, and then unbanning based on how many times they actually did click it (maybe under 20?), makes sense to me.
-
Probably because you lied. Your first post stated that by the time you'd arrived the bug was fixed, yet in your next post you said you clicked it 5 times. You lied once, who's to say 5 times wasn't also a lie? I'm sure every person guilty of abusing the bug is still going to [bleep] about getting banned and claim they did nothing wrong too, so rsof aren't really something i'd go by.

Legends was ridiculously hard at the time. You're all spoiled, eating and drinking potions during combat! Back then, we had a curved sword called the Dragon Scimitar and runite items were highly sought for. In my time, there were no such things as a +132 str bonus or a shield that released dragon's breath. Uhh, D Scim is a RS2 item o_O And Scims weren't curved in rsc either :P

This is something I definately have an issue with. I've only been playing RS again for around 3 weeks after a 1.5 year break and i'm sure it's already been discussed to death, but combat familiars only being really useful in multi combat areas was something I was pretty disappointed with. Sure, it's nice having the extra healing/bag space from certain familiars, but considering summoning raises your combat level, the affect it has in single combat is pretty underwhelming. Of course, my summoning still definately needs some work, but those are my first impressions on combat familiars.

Boo :) Happy Birthday Sweety :D Yeah, I stole someone elses cake and apparently you're only 9, but it's the thought that counts, right? :D  -
I think the new timer is great when you have to use the bathroom, get a drink or snack, post on the forum, or when my parents call me for something. I hated putting my password and PIN several times a day. Posting on the forum shouldn't take 5 minutes. All the other examples are against the rules, which is why Jagex had it in the first place :| http://www.runescape.com/kbase/view.ws? ... of_conduct Mind showing me which rule afk fishing/wcing falls under? I agree that having the timer increased to 5 minutes is very nice, for for all reasons already mentioned. :)

Guess it's about time I post :P Yes, this is what I have to put up with on a daily basis :| lol, jk Congrats on your levels so far baby :) I'd say good luck, but I still don't think you've landed on a goal that I could wish you luck on :P -
Depending on how much faster spinning flax is now, the price could actually go slightly higher, if the crafting xp per hour from spinning is increased by a decent amount. :P
-
Yeah, who'd want to socialize on an mmo, wtf? I could spend my time better getting my skills higher, now there's a good way to spend my time!! :-s XD I had a party for my first 99, strength, but that was also around 4 years ago. All 99s i've gotten have been with my gf present (though, so are most levels), and usually a couple of friends, if they're interested in coming. Never had a part that I actually invited people I don't know though.
-
If I had to, it'd probably be strength, just due to it forcibly being trained by other skills (summoning/slayer). Having 200m slayer xp would be pretty amazing, but that would take an insane amount of time.
-
I think so too, most of the words really aren't offensive by themselves, but can be used to insult people. If people wanted to insult others they'd do it around the censors and break the rules anyway, at least this way those who are just talking to each other won't have stars through half their sentences because the censor's getting things it doesn't really need to.
-
Dork is uncensored too, finally :D About time, I only spoke to a jmod about it being uncensored 2 years ago

 . RS2 came out 2004 March, Slayer 2005 January/February Hey wonderboy, he's talking about Runecrafting, not RS2.. oops ? RuneCrafting came with RS2.. oops? Well oops for u again, Rs2 came out in 2003. 29 March 2004 - RS2 Launched! 26 January 2005 - Slayer Skill :-w As for those syaing a new skill isn't needed, care to explain why? Should the hundreds of players starting to complete the skilling side of the game just be forgotten about? How can you speak for the entire community by saying 'we' if you personally still do have a long way to go?

Locked~ We do not allow asking for 'donations' in any way on the tip.It Forums.

Even if they did IP ban it wouldn't do anything, it's not hard for them to just change their IP ;) As for the mass bans, Jagex are always banning hundreds of autoers per day, nothing new. :P
