  1. This might have gone over your head, but it was a question. There is also a factory in New Mexico if I recall
  2. I never compared the client. All I said was the program is very effective if you have a good desktop or notebook. However, there is still plenty to discuss in relation to using the netbooks alone. I can see from the 2 posts and the p2v ratio that this just isn't going to work.
  3. I'm about 100% sure Sennheiser is a German company. Seeing as one of it's R&D facilities and a factory are located in Germany, shouldn't Sennheiser products be cheaper there than most other countries?
  4. StreamMyGame. It is extremely effective if you have a good desktop computer or notebook. I highly suggest you check it out if you are keen on playing games on your Eee
  5. I thought I'd make a thread to try and collect everybody who uses an Eee PC or similar netbook, so we can compare results while playing Runescape or other games, give and receive advice and generally just chat about how awesome these little buggers are! If this is against the rules, please, delete this thread. If it's been done before, let me know, so I won't waste my time! I just got my 2nd Eee PC today. I also have a Toshiba Satellite and a 17" Macbook. Sometimes, neither of those are practical for my use. SD Runescape and RSC run perfectly on my Eee. The HD version was a little laggy at first, but I'm hoping to resolve that with StreamMyGame! Games I've played on this Eee so far are: Crysis Warcraft III COD5 HL2 Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Lego Star Wars And I'm going to do the steam config when I get home! The Eee I'm currently using is a stock 900A with XP home! More updates when I get home from the hospital!
  6. Aaah, a soccer player from Adelaide... Need I say more? :P Blogs looking good so far, I'm looking forward to updates!
  7. The differences between the efficiency of an Antec and one of the cheaper psu from MSY are miniscule, especially if you go for something closer to 400 watts. Factor in the cash you will save by getting a case & psu package and it will takes YEARS to recoup the cash. DO NOT get MSY to build it. I made the mistake of letting MSY build a PC for me a while ago. They don't cover squat. They will still charge you on labour for their mistakes and they will still deny being at fault and force you/your mother to go through warranty claims. Do it yourself now while you are in QLD before you leave. What is it actually being used for, and what kind of performance are you after? As in, mostly movies/music? Any dx10 games? Asus make a fantastic mobo with onboard full HD video and sound that runs most source engine games & pulls playable results in crysis on high perfectly fine for about $120.
  8. Waste of cash TBH. You can easily save yourself $150 on the case and psu. Save another $70 by putting it together yourself, it will take all of 15 minutes. Save yourself another $60 by going for a 320gb hdd over 2 160. Where are you buying from? I managed to build a 3.1ghz quad core rig with dual HD 4670s, logitech gaming keyboard & mouse and full hd 22" samsung for under a grand, using parts from MSY & CPL. I can put together a list if you like.
  9. That doesn't really work in practice. He has lower stats than you, so he obviously won't obtain combat experience as fast as you. I'm not saying that you are wrong in the whole, just that you need to clarify that he will not necessarily get 5 levels in the time it takes you to get 1.
  10. The Shadow Guardians sounds like a great fit :) We have a few old schoolers (including me!) that have been out of it for quite a while, and we have plenty of events too! Unlike a lot of other clans, we understand that you have external commitments which come first. Our recruitment thread is located... viewtopic.php?f=173&t=767893 And we also have our own forum you can check out! If you have any questions, feel free to add myself or one of the leaders, or just join the clan chat!
  11. You get 100 Deaths per cat. 1,000 cats x 100 Deaths = 100,000 deaths = around 30M gp. PS...300,000 Deaths would be 90M, not 50M. lol. >_____< Well, it's been like six months since I last played, sooo... :wall: The kitteh trade in value has been stable for a lot longer than 6 months
  12. Somebody obviously never did sheep herder... Took me nearly 5 years :(
  13. I am not sure how long it takes to get 99 smithing but you could manage to get 4-5 hammers an hour before the update, not sure how it is now with the update though No, you couldn't. You need to play 1 game to get a new tool, no matter what you score. So, AT ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM you could get 3 hammers an hour. But, seeing as games don't start straight away, you about 2.7 tools per hour. Fact checks plz.
  14. Nah it won't become the next cooking. I got about 4 inventories out of my hammer using mithril bars. When you think it takes at least 20 minutes per tool, it's actually taking you longer to get the exp if you only use SC hammers.
  15. I hate to break it to you buddy, but iron ore hasn't been at 150gp in at least 5 years. Your best option by far is pure essence. Other than that, for just cash you can buy iron ore & coal, and smelt it at al kharid.
  16. Considering that you can make the cash by having varrock armor, I can repair the armor with almost no loss every two or three weeks depending on my combat activity. Read my post? Not everybody wants the constant expenditure of barrows armour for what they think is a small bonus. If people can easily make the money or not is beside the point. If you can make up the money for one repair in 1 day, then the cost is negated isn't it? 100 - x + x = 100 So yes, the factor of making up money IS part of point. No, it's not. You seem to be totally missing the point. EVERYBODY has the potential to make the money needed to repair barrows armour. NOT EVERYBODY thinks it is worth it, EVEN IF THEY CAN AFFORD IT. Honestly, it's not a difficult concept to understand. It's one of the simplest things I've ever read on a forum, but it's still going right over you head. [/hide] Um, you guys do know that the Dragon Platebody is out now? Surely do. Doesn't make this discussion any less valid though.
  17. It is a pretty silly. The updates are slow to prevent price manipulation, but in return it stops people from selling "rare items" on the GE. Nobody will accept that little for them, therefore no sales, and the price stays steady. It's a faulty system, just like the end of RWT. Jagex is trying so hard to help, they're actually hurting.

  20. Also consider how it affects their own team. I played 3 games today, and everyone 100+ just camped the enemy spawn, killing and killing. It also meant that us collectors were totally alone, and easy pickings for the other lvl 100+, leading to the same situation on both sides. Jagex's theory behind the game was that we would learn to work together, for the good of the team. That obviously hasn't happened. Removing the combat experience obviously will not fix it, because they are adding other ridiculous limitations, such as 10 tools, 200k points, etc. So, once they obtain 20k points to buy a new tool, or enough points to push their total to 200k, players will continue to go kill the enemy because it's slightly more fun that pointless skilling. The minigames design was great. It's the runescape community that's at fault.
  21. It's just like that in the real world. Ask yourself, how much are you willing to pay for the extra performance, no matter how small. For some people, it's entirely worth it. It depends how much money YOU have.
