Pray pots...
And then there are people like me, who don't really care how other people play the game, but are also inconvenienced by the selfish merchanters. Heck, the only reason the pro-efficiency people are at a disadvantage is because a group of people is abusing a system in a way Jagex did not properly plan for. Perhaps I'm not cynical enough to develop contingencies for such situations. But then again, I'm about as cynical as they come, so that can't be it. Oh, also, I don't think you fully understand the problem. It's not that the prayer potions are too expensive, it's that they cannot be bought, even at max price. They are being completely bought up. So are ranarr seeds, so having a decent farming level won't do much good either. I do understand the "problem". They CAN be bought rather easily. If you choose to stick with the GE, good luck. A quick view on RSOF shows more than a few people selling prayer pots. Step into the GE on most worlds, you'll see somebody selling prayer pots. Jagex has always stressed the benefits of a balanced character. Go out and collect seeds, then collect snape grass, then blow vials, fill them with water and make prayer potions. Just because you can't obtain them exactly the way you want to, don't whinge that they are unobtainable.

stop asking Jagex to raise the max HP, ITS STUPID (not rant)
Logical solution is to cut max hits and monster hp in half (rounded up of course) to leave room for future expansion. That way PVM stays exactly the same, the best weapons are still the best weapons, there is plenty of room for updates and the pkers were going to whinge anyway!

Pray pots...
I find it hilarious. All these people going on and on about people being idiots for not playing the game efficiently or for being DIYers are now suddenly [bleep]ing that a material that should be able to produce themselves can't be bought for a low enough price. Sweet times, sweet times.

Broadcasting an ethernet connection
Buy a router. A USB receiver won't help you. If the USB device is made to create a wireless network, RTFM.

Buying a new computer. - Got the Pro, new question again....
It would be foolish not to if you can find buyers. I dare say you'd be able to sell the macbook pro for $90 more if you change your mind.

The Running Thread
I sing during training, think lyrics when competing (well, at football, same diff). I find come game time I breathe easier as I'm so used to expending all this extra air. It obviously doesn't boost performance, but it's a comfort thing

Two weeks on my pure...
Fair effort for 2 weeks, but the real question is did you enjoy doing it? Get over yourself. You aren't anything special. Don't pretend you are doing it harder than everybody else. You brought this [cabbage] storm upon yourself with that attitude.

American Football!
I'm not really a fan of watching the game, for me it falls in the same category as soccer. Boring as hell to watch, great fun to play :) I used to play when I was a kiddie, where we'd take a crack at each position. Naturally I was a kicker, but it got pretty boring sitting on the bench for 95% of the game, so I said I didn't want to do it anymore and got dropped! On the plus side, I've been invited to a punting trial :) It's pretty much a bunch of old yank blokes come to Australia at the end of the AFL/VFL season and meet up with a bunch of veteran and rookie AFL/VFL/TAC players to see our kicking skills. The theory is (if we are good enough, which most obviously are to be invited) and have the right attitudes we then get invitations to trials with individual teams. I feel american football requires a higher level of talent in an individual skill over a a lot of other sports due to it's positional nature. In other sports with less substitions and a more continous game you are required to be more of a jack of all trades. As an example, somebody who can punt it 80 yards to the coffin corner 10/10 times would probably be near-useless at full forward or centre half forward in AFL.

Stealing Kills/Drops/Training/Time
I think you are the rude one with no respect. You are so arrogant you think you are the only one entitled to train in that location. If you can't share, then YOU should leave. It's a multiplayer game. If you were supposed to be alone in the location, you would be, the engine allows for it. Whoever got their first is irrelevant. If YOU are unhappy with the situation, then YOU should be the one to leave.

I need some (serious) help.
Don't hate yourself dude. There only "issue" here is how you feel about yourself! That is a bigger problem than any sexual crisis. Get some real help. Not internet help.

Your views on file sharing and piracy
All these people who think they are really sticking it to the man are hilarious. No one cares about your potential sale that isn't going to happen. If you really want to stick it to a man go steal real copies of the objects. (Even then you're just hurting the retail store, not the actual developers). I'm not trying to, "stick it to the man". I have no job and no money, I have no choice but to pirate. You clearly have another choice. You are in no way, shape or form being forced to pirate music and games. YOU make the choice to steal rather than go without something you want.

Your views on file sharing and piracy
But you don't own the game, movie or music. You never do. You have the rights to watch/listen/play it yourself in a private setting. The way I see it is pretty simple. Let's say I found out Russell Crowe released a new album with rave reviews. I'll download a few tracks to see if I like it. If I like it, I'll buy the album, buy the merch, go to concerts. If I don't, then I'll delete the tracks and that's that. I wouldn't have bought the music, merch or concert tickets if hadn't heard the music. Now, in my scenario, am I hurting the industry? No, quite the opposite. That is a sale they wouldn't have made without me downloading the songs first. That's a concert ticket, a t shirt, a hoodie, a stubby holder I wouldn't have bought. That is positive word of mouth being generated, because I'll go out and tell people hey, this album is pretty sweet, check it out! At the same time though, I'm in the minority for sure.

IRL Celebs on RS...
I'm a footballer you bully
-
IRL Celebs on RS...
I could name a list of over 60 band members signed to respectable labels here in Australia that have RS and CS:S installed on their laptops. I could name about a hundred AFL/VFL players who also play RS & CS:S/TF2/L4D/COD4 on a daily basis and I'm sure there is more that I don't know. It all depends on what you term to be celebrity.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
If that's who you are, then it's not extreme, go for it! I get dressed up of course, have a bit of fun with it, but I'd just as soon march in a tux or in a wetsuit with flippers! Most of the people I've met agree that the ONLY time they dress that way and act that way are during these events, the rest if the time they are just regular people.
-
Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
Either way it's a hateful crime, it's not different at all. His race/religion/sexuality should have nothing to do with which crime I am being charged with. The fact that these laws exist shows that everybody is NOT equal in the eyes of the law which if you ask me is a pretty serious [bleep] up for such a BS PC society.
-
Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
I believe it's wrong and is a disgrace to god. If two men were supposed to be together, god would have made it that way!! On a serious note, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm straight, but I march in homosexual pride parades, I volunteer my services to kids confused about their sexuality and half my player fines go to a homosexual rights group. The other half goes to an AIDS foundation. I draw the line at a different set of laws for homosexuals, ie hate crime. Hate crime legislation is just more segregation. Why should it be a different charge if I hit bloke A than if I hit bloke B? Why should anybody care? How does it impact you if two blokes are tagging each other behind closed doors? Unless these religious [bleep]ers come in and spout their [cabbage], but I tend to get in trouble for my views on religion, so don't bother questioning me about it in the thread. PM me for lulz.

A little bit of Australia.
Oppose something like this in Aus and you are labeled a racist. It's it a type of reverse racism really. Which is the worst type and the one I hate [the most]. Very true. I'm constantly being accused of being a racist and/or sexist because I treat everybody equally which has lead to a media ban by my manager  . I'm supposed to treat all Aussie white people like [cabbage] and everybody else like Robert Harvey! They are dreaming!

Membership by the week
I've always thought membership would be much more popular if instead of 31 calender days, you recieved 28 days and they were only used up if you logged in. Each log in could apply for 24 hours. For the older among us, membership is dirt cheap anyway, but I know what puts a lot of people off of P2P is their inability to access a pc for significant times during the week. That would solve more than a few problems.

How Often Do You Restart?
It's winter, so very rarely. We tend to lose power every week or 2 for a few hours, so i guess that counts?

5 biggest problems in Runescape today.
1. PvP. Why? Because I'm just so sick of hearing every man and his dog complain about it and it's impact upon our economy. 2. People who whinge about "crashers". It's a multiplayer game. If you were supposed to have sections of the map to yourself, you'd be able to. You don't own the spot. If you can't share, leave, don't expect other people (who are happy to share!) to move to suit you. 3. The value placed upon exp and how it renders lots of non-combat skills ineffective. Really, forgetting quests/diaries, there is hardly any point to raising a fair few non-combat skills. There are equally or more effective ways of raising money which can then be used to buy the supplies you wanted in a matter of seconds. 4. People who break the rules. Not so much because they break the rules, but because when they get caught they complain that they are being punished unfairly because they've matured since then. Mind you, this is normally in a timeframe so short if you could count the minutes on your limbs! But at the same time, they whinge and sook about being reported and call those people who do report "noobs" or "wanna be mods" 5. Rants about Jagex. It's the same recycled garbage over and over again with no logical thought behind it. That is pretty typical of the internet though! Also close, people who whinge about lack of high lvl content, people who whinge about quest storylines, people who whinge about price manipulators, people who whinge about whingers and Hugh Jackman. Not really, I love hugh with an undying passion. I'm sorry I lied to you all :( But yep, those are what I think are the 5 biggest problems in rs!

Who do you trust to make your games?
Valve and EA because of the predictability. You know exactly what you are getting from them, whether it's good or not isn't relevant. Visceral Studios has me on edge. DeadSpace was amazing in an age of same-same games and resource hogs. Reminds of the old days when programmers had to be creative to work with the resources available.

What Shape are you in?
176cm (yay, I've grown 2cm in the last year!) and 78kg. Very fit. I have the advantage of playing sport for a living though. It's good to see people being honest in the thread, rather than everyone pretending they have massive biceps and cobblestone abs

How much water to you drink per day?
Depends what food and how much you eat each day as well as the environmental and personal variables. If I tried to just eat saladas with vegemite and 1 litre of water, I'd be in hospital within 3 days. Somebody with a less active lifestyle who ate steak and salad with their litre of water could last much, much longer.
