Never Underestimate the value of the cent
If they incovenience me by fining me for doing nothing wrong and the court system (As always) fails me, why the [bleep] shouldn't I inconvenience them? If I do something wrong and get caught legit, I cop it on the chin and bPay it straight away. If I get towed for overstaying the posted sign limit (4 hours) after being there less than 10 minutes, you're damn skippy I'm going to [bleep] with the council every way I can.

How much water to you drink per day?
Are you implying that having white urine is healthy? I have to say, dear sir that that is the most unhealthy thing I've ever heard. If I ever peed out anything other than yellow, I'd be concerned. Sheesh. How can you people drink this much straight water? jesus christ. You people must pee like 30 times a day. Can't you die if you drnk too much water? (albeit like a huge amount) You've got it backwards. You should be concerned if it's any colour BUT clear. If it's yellow you are already dehyrdrated or are ingesting excess B vitamins. There are other causes, but those are the 2 most common. And yep, you can die if you ingest too much water over a short period of time. Remember the "hold you wee for a wii" lady?

He is over 40 if what he said in MM&T is true. May I ask what MM&T means? :?: Music, Movies & Television subforum.

Never Underestimate the value of the cent
No it's not. It's the same thing when places won't accept $50 or $100 dollar bills. Places can accept whatever money they want. Exactly. I think if it qualifies as "unnecessary" then they don't have to accept it. For example, at my work, we will accept a $50 bill for purchases over $30. Anything less is causing us to give out an unnecessary amount of change. And at the video; I guess he's entitled to pay in all pennies, but very unnecessary and he's just trying to be funny. If a store has a policy to accept cash then they have to accept every denomination unless both parties agreed to a contract specifying otherwise. This could be verbal, a sign on the door, a note on the menu or a poster on the wall. Paying with 8,800 pennies is perfectly legal. They do not have to be rolled. It is a FEDERAL crime to refuse legal tender unless otherwise contracted. So long as every one of those 8,800 penies met the requirements by law, she had no choice. I've done this with many a parking fine and debt collection agency here in Aus and a NZ airport. With 5c coins, not pennies, but the thought behind it is the same. Do it right before closing time if you can

How much water to you drink per day?
Either means you are dehyrdated or (in the case of yellow) have an oversupply of B vitamins. Most water soluble vitamins can affect the colour. Feeling thirsty is a sign of dehydration. You don't need to drink 10 glasses of water a day, but you shouldn't let yourself become dehydrated on a regular basis. [hide=5 Myhs] As long as you get the minimum your body needs to function, why drink more? 8 glasses of water came from speculating the minimum water an average male meeting all his RDA of vitamins and minerals needs with an active lifestyle. Water intake and kidney function varies between people, so just because you drink 4 litres a day doesn't mean your kidneys will become less efficient. No idea TBH, I haven't paid much attention to dematology. You'd imagine as long as you had the necessary fluids for your system to function efficiently on, anything extra wouldn't make a difference. Not totally correct. The more consistent the supply of water, the less your body will retain. So if somebody who doesn't keep themselves properly hydrated starts drinking water regularly, they will retain less water. It's the same with all fluids though. Technically wrong! Most people aren't properly hydrated when they begin to exercise, so they are experiencing the early signs of dehydration before they even begin. This means they don' get dehydrated during the workout, they already are![/hide] I drink on average 3 litres a day. 2 litres of water, 2 glasses of milk, a glass of pineapple juice (i know, i know, but i love it!) and a chai before bed. Then again, my entire day is planned out by dietitians and PTs :( Sources for the above information: Medical textbooks, uni lectures and hours upon hours of being yelled at by club doctors, dietitians and personal trainers.

IRL Celebs on RS...
Depends on your definition of celebrity. I know more than a few AFL players play Runescape fairly regularly, as do lots of Australians musicians. Though TF-2/CS 1.6 seems to be their game of choice.

lvl 107 looking for P2P clan
Stats are in the sig. Got all the gear for any boss trip, happy to war in rune. I don't use IRC, ventrillo or skype. I can't guarantee event attendance. I can't guarantee forum activity. I'm mostly just after some friendly people to chat to and go on some fun outings with. I'm not intersted in a clan filled with 12 year old american "patriots" who have no original thought patterns. I like interesting, intelligent people.

Your first car wreck.
I've been done for that. Somebody hit me up the [wagon], I hit the car in front. Court ruled I was liable for the damage to the person I hit because I was too close and the person who hit me could not be traced. It's a red light, I was 15m away and the guy who hit me was doing 75. What the hell was I supposed to do?

What's your RL fighting style?
Australian. 'Nuff said. To the uninformed, it involves VB cans, bar stools, pool cues and Bazza machines :P 20k in game for the first person to explain what a Bazza machine is :P

Drivers permit
Haha that takes me back... On both my L's and P's I failed the entire section of rules & responsibilities of the road and I still got my licence!

A little bit of Australia.
Don't feel sorry for them. They get over $40,000 a year in direct cash allowance, free housing, free public transport, free health care, free taxi trips to the value of $50 outside of business hours, they have their own court and punishment system, free plane tickets and 3 day accomodation for funerals of family and tribe members. You are thinking of the pets allowance where the government subsidises the cost for registering and feeding them. There is no benefit whatsover for them to get jobs. They complain about being robbed of their lifestyle and heritage and about being treated differently yet they demand compensation and benefits for being of aboriginal descent. As far as I'm concerned, if they don't like it, they can go back to the desert. Source: I work part time as a D&A counseller. Naturally, I see a lot of them come through the offices.

The Running Thread
Just had my first real test session to try and get back into the 1's from injury. shuttle run - 14.3 (I *know* I can beat that) standing vertical jump - 75cm (I feel I could do better) Agility course - DNF (rolled my ankle first turn) running vertical jump - 98cm (Straight after agility test, ankle injury) 20m - 2.95 seconds (terrible, I was getting 2.7s the week leading up to it) 3km tt - 10:55 (Quite happy as I rolled my ankle end of day 1) Handball results: (A moving bullseye 10 metres away) RH - 50pts (100% :D ) LH - 48pts.( Hit the edge of the hole first handball) Kicking: (10 kicks spread across the field, 5 standing start and 5 on the run) Outside 50 - 4 goals, 5 behinds, 1 out (very happy!) Inside 50 - 5 goals, 3 behinds, 2 out (the 2 out on the fulls were directly in front) Overall I'm pretty happy with my results. Now that I'm running again my ball skills and my jump/20m times will get worse, but that's okay. Good enough to be given the OK by the doc, but I doubt I'll get selected as I haven't played a match in roughly 11 weeks.

Chasing Perfection: Jagex's Quest for a PvP Utopia
Because you are questioning it. If you don't believe it, prove me wrong rather than just being lazy. I don't have to prove the truth to myself, you need to disprove it to me.

Chasing Perfection: Jagex's Quest for a PvP Utopia
Press releases from Jagex, quotes from Geoff, numerous other JMod quotes that have probably been eaten by the monster that is RSOF. Do your own legwork, I don't have time to scour the internet on my only day off to prove a point over the internet that hundreds of people with reasonable memories can back me up on. I don't care if you think I'm right, as long as you think  I said it was stated there was over 100k cancelled subscriptions in the fortnight after the update. Obviously F2P doesn't count because they don't subscribe and anything after the fortnight was irrelevant to my post. That's not to say that more people quit or even that people didn't return. I just can't recall seeing any information from a reliable source in regards to anything outside that fortnight. We can also share our various STDs right? You can catch them twice? I think we are in trouble! The updates make it less profitable to use illegaly obtained credit card details to subscribe to memberships over Runescape. It therefore costs Jagex less money in reimbursments. RWT "ruining the game" is only part of the issue. Jagex is a business; don't forget the financial side.

Chasing Perfection: Jagex's Quest for a PvP Utopia
In the business world it can lead to lawsuits and bad publicity (as we've seen in this case!). Don't stress too much about the figures man, it's a forum, there's no point being here if you know everything :P What else can we do but share knowledge and ideas for funzies?

Chasing Perfection: Jagex's Quest for a PvP Utopia
Jagex didn't apologize and Jagex never said that. Mat K did. He was admitting he was wrong and how rare it is for him to do just that, not for Jagex as a company. Surely enough, everybody goes and takes his words out of context. This is exactly why companies forbid employees from apologising. It is tantamount to admitting fault and the employees actions are interpreted as the actions & thoughts of the company as a whole and not as an individual person. Seeing such an intelligent person say that hurt me a little. I understand that a lot of people here are naive enough to truly believe the choice is that simple, but please, not you. Over 800,000 people regularly PvP? Not including trickers and skillers? I doubt that. Not an attack on you libs, just pointing out numbers. My theory behind all the threads is because they are whingers. Whoever said 6% of the total population quit in the big RWT updates, I think you are underestimating. It was stated over 100k people cancelled their subscriptions in the fortnight after the update. That represented roughly 10% of the members at the time. Plus how many freebies? I'll see your English insurance and raise you Melbourne! The hoon laws bumped my premium up by $3k.

Herb Death increase?
I have noticed it as well. It might just be bad luck, but over the past few weeks I've noticed a siginficant increase in the number of herbs dying. I'm still averaging exactly 25 herbs per run, but 25%+ of my seeds are dying this month. Feel free to blame my farming level, but when you consider one of the patches can't get diseased that is still an abnormal amount.

Faruq's Tools for Games 15-Jul-2009
Wait.. You would use an inventory space OR a familiar instead of what's on your wrist, in your pocket and in the bottom right corner of the screen to count 10 minutes? hmm...

Mobilising armies Commodities - Getting rid of junktrades?
It's a very little start. Take a previous attempt, flatpacks thorugh diaries. What is it, 10% of the ge value? A pittance compared to what it could get you for renting out items, or what you could get for it from friends. If there is an easier option out there, people will take it. With such average rewards and the time it takes actually playing the game, this won't have much of a dent at all. Especially with the styles of play that are so prevelant.

Noobs say the funniest things!
Trollin', or just fail? I assume fail, no troll is this dumb. Well, none that I can think of. You don't play enough runescape, this guy is well inside the bell curve.

BE ADVISED
But I think all of you agree that it can't be possible to loose items from a bug, and get no refund. I think its perfectly possible and reasonable, and has been that way from the beginning. Why would you get a refund? It's not your item that was lost nor your account it was lost from.
