  1. I'm all for it. Shoot them then bill the family for the bullet. Why should I waste my tax dollars housing them when the system ruins any chance for rehabilitation on those with potential to be released, or housing people that will never be released.
  2. I wouldn't say they are *made* to be gay, but this is pretty much it.
  3. Mate if you get their name, tribe, nationality, hell, even their preferred drug wrong, you better duck because you can bet there's a beercan heading your way followed by a family of angry blackfellas. As long as you like the movie, I'm cool with it  Nah, my favourite thing to do is pretend EVERYBODY swims with crocs and sharks and that EVERYONE boxes kangaroos in their spare time. Americans fall for anything
  4. African-American may be the stupidest hyphenated nationality as a huge part of black people weren't African. Nothing dumber than a black guy not knowing his great grandparents came from trinidad wanting to be called an African-American. -.- Also, the only people who's Nationality is a whole continent instead of a country. Technically Australians are both. Nah, we have 2 sub divisions of native blacks. Torres strait islanders and aboriginal australians. Our country does cover more than just the mainland :P

I put a $30k deposit on my new car today :) Lexus is250c :) It should get delivered the day after I get out of the chair
  6. It's not appropriate to say NO pedophile or rapist can ever be rehabilitated, but I see where you are coming from. This is why we have sex offenders acts that permit lifetime restrictions upon these people, because the urges are unlikely to cease. These restrictions with the threat of going back to jail are generally enough to protect the community for them to enter back into it. Making sentences binding can ruin that window where people want and are able to change themselves. In Ryan's case, the issue isn't so much the verdict, because he did cause the death and it is against the law. The issue was that he was in there past the point of rehabilition and it changed him in a negative way for the rest of his life. That will happen more and more often and I believe we would see an increase in repeat offenders.
  7. That's cause he is a down to earth bloke who understands where he fits in. He is less experienced on the corporate side and nobody knows the engine better than him. Looks pretty simple on paper, but you'd be surprised how many people try and insert themselves at the top level and fail.
  8. Why does it bother you? I take it as a compliment! Just a simple, sorry mate, no thanks does the trick and they'll generally buy you a drink to be sure everything is all cool! What I don't understand is why everyone seems to think that all gay men go around wanting to jump on any other male they encounter. It makes little sense to me, how people use the logic, "Well, it's okay... as long as they don't try and make a move on me..." People, it's possible that we don't find you attractive and wouldn't bother making a move on you to begin with. Not everybody thinks that. Some of us are more than capable of telling the difference. Others are just so arrogant they don't believe somebody would think they aren't attractive. I bet even a few are closet cases themselves that are hoping they are being hit on.

I'm also an Australian. Our internet might be [cabbage], but that doesn't mean steam is ineffective. Download your steam games during off peak period and play on servers with unmetered usage. If you are that worried about downloading TF-2, send me $3 and I'll mail you a dvd with a tf-2 steam backup on it. All you need to do is double click the file and it will extract and install.

Hey, car advice! We had an RX 300, I think 2001, since 2005, and it never had a single thing wrong with it. It rarely required maintenance, the worst thing was the brakes, which just needed a little tuning occasionally. Now we have an LX, but make sure you get a good one - ours was a crappy sale, because the last person took horrible care of it. Just interior crap though, we've had it for more than a year and nothing remotely wrong with it. My brother has an IS, and he absolutely loves it as well. Make sure you get good tires, though, he bought new ones that weren't very good. Too low profile. If you have to take a lot of people around places, get an RX. Otherwise, get an IS, because you will love it  Buying it new, so the old owner isn't a problem  My car very rarely has more than 2 people in it, I was keen on the RX because I found it very comfortable and easy to get in and out of when I'm having leg/back troubles. Plus it's a hybrid, which is apparently brilliant for my fuel economy. Now the IS... I've never driven a comparable convertible before!! Amazing handling and throttle response, as well as all the bells and whistiles :) The porsche wins in 2 sections though... 1, power! and 2, it's a porsche!

  12. Depends on the context and, if applicable, the feelings of the person it is directed at. It's all about the context the word is used in. Any black people (yes, I will say black, not of african descent, get over it) who forbid white people from saying it due to racisim are just hypocrites.

I went to visit a mate in prison and got turned down because I'm in a wheelchair :( Oh, and I got my insurance cheque cashed and transferred my money from my savings account into my spending account so I can buy a new car soon. I'm torn between.. lexus RX450H. (never owned an suv) lexus is250c (i love it!) porchse boxster (drives rather well, huge insurance though) I did test drives of all 3 today. I think I prefer the is250c of the 3, but I could buy 3 commodores or falcons for the price. More test driving tomorrow in the dry
  14. I'm not a fan of it. A friend of mine (who currently is in the Australian media for a new assault charge) was sent to jail for manslaughter. He was sentenced to 8 years, released after 3 and a half on parole/good behaviour. Now, the relevant part. He was in a parking lot with some friends when a group of guys pulled knives on them, tried to rob them and stabbed him. He kicked on of them, who fell down and hit his head on the gutter. He then went to sleep for 20 hours in his car. He had irreversible brain damage and died of his injuries. Now, not only do I not believe he deserved to go to jail for that, it would be even more unjust if a bloke who kept his head down, worked hard, even got a uni degree while in jail should be forced to spend any more time there because of a broken system. I believe long prison sentences reduce the likelihood of rehabilitation and in cases like this are actually a step backwards. If a person has made legitimate steps towards improving their life then they should be given a chance before it's too late. I believe there is a critical stage in prison sentences where the person is able to change and they are often kept in prison long past this. PRENUP CONVO - I've met more than a few men it's happened to. Prenups are non-binding in Australia, so most people dont bother.
  15. Out of my price range :( I'm trying to avoid spending more money than necessary for something that will be used for about 3 hours every 2 weeks at most for anything requiring more than a netbook. I've actually touched a few laptops (naturally with intel chips) that can run css fine but not rshd, so i'm not too worried about source, just the other games.
  16. I love how people insist on Andrew being in charge, despite him not being the majority holder. Neither Andrew nor Mark have the ability to walk in to the office and demand a skill is added or content updated against the will of others. Owning 37.5% of a company (last stated figure) doesn't make you the boss. Neither does starting it if you didn't maintain majority holdings. I hope we get more penguins :) I hadn't laughed out loud in Runescape in about 6 years before I did the penguin quests!
  17. good luck man! Ignore the haters, people always insult me for the goals I choose and I always end up reaching them! Just remember to drink lots of water :P

Stop keeping cash floating around the house. Buy a safe from bunnings, it's $50, and if you say she can break into it, you are either talking out your [wagon] or she is the incredible hulk in disguise. If that's the case, you've got more to worry about than your money. (hulk smash!) Want to make your parents happy? Easy done. Go to the RAAF interview, and say this line. "I frequently have back and knee problems stemming from uncomfortable furniture and standing/walking on hard surfaces". They will NOT touch you. All the report will say is you failed the physical entrance exam and as such do not qualify for entrance at this time. This will also exclude you from the ADF, AFP and state police for a period of no less than 5 years, so make sure you are okay with that. You don't qualify for public housing, and the maximum rent assitance payment for your situation is $60 a fortnight. This means even with a full time job, you'll need to move into shared housing. So, follow the instructions I gave you in paragraph 2 so your parents get off your back about the air force. Then once you get your cert III, you'll show them that it's not just the RAAF who doesn't want to hire you, nobody does!
  19. Thanks! According to the blokes at DSE, JB and HN (computer stores!) Neither of them will have the battery life :( And apparently the HP runs rather hot as well. I think I'm just going to have to pick up a 2nd hand macbook (which will still cost me $1400) :(
  20. As constantly said, most pyros are just w +m1. They are boring to play against and terrible to play with. My 2 biggest hates in the game are both pyro related. Pyros who don't spycheck, and pyros who don't airblast teammates.
  21. Long story short, my luggage got stolen on a domestic flight and I lost my MBP. I need something ASAP. Specs are.. Between 13"-15". Nothing smaller, no 17". Battery life approaching 3 hours at least. Wireless internet. (obviously) I would prefer an illuminated keyboard. I need to be able to play RS in HD & CS:S. So, don't bother with anything using onboard intel. Sounds simple? I wish. I'm an Australian. My budget is $1500 AUD ($1239 USD). I CAN NOT SPEND ANY MORE. There is no possible way for me to strech that. As an example, a polycarb macbook is $1600 AUD. Cheers guys!
  22. It doesn't solve as many problems as one might think. Privately owned hospitals will still be billing these huge amounts and it'll be a struggle to find staff to work in the public sector. I'm thinking tax hikes. The way it works over here is everybody pays a medicare levy tax, which is roughly 1.5% (somebody care to correct me?) of your gross income, and medicare subsidises just about everything. For example, I pay $50 for a visit to my doctor, and I get about $35 back by taking my reciept into a medicare centre. If you are earning under $30,000 a year you are entitled to a low income health care card which grants you free/discounted health care. Back when I had one, all doctors visits are free and I paid about $200 for a knee reco, which was essentially the cost of the anasthetic. Most commonly prescribed medicines are subsidised under the PBS, so 2 month supplies of painkillers or antibiotics cost less than a cup of coffee.
  23. playing a practice match footy, trying to recover from injuries funnily enough. I got tackled and thrown into the post, hit it with my foot, broke my calcaneus :( As well as some achilles tendon damage.

I managed to sell quite a few hundred for 18k each, so I'm fairly happy.
  25. Broke my heel on sunday :( Another few months of swimming and weights :(
