  1. Nature is getting really (too) strong Katrina, Rita and other hurricanes have destroyed half the coast of the USA, and i was suprised Bush didn't do anything about it. Yesterday i saw in a TV-show a few images about cops who were robbing stores right after Katrina and who denied it in front of a camera who had seen everything. A few days after the whole city flooded there was no help for the black people or the poor. Way to go Bush, you've spended all the money on (useless) warfare, and now you gotto carry the consequences. Solidarity, yes! Way of spending it, shameful Weird title maybe for you guys, but it's rather a personal experience. At the end of last year, a tsunami has destroyed South-East Asia. So, we (Belgians) started a huge donations fond ('Tsunami 12-12') and we (6 mil people) collected over 55 million euros. I thought, wow that's helpful for the people there but what i see now? A local news-team has filmed a few villages we Belgians were going to help, you know i didn't see any difference between now and a year ago ( and by that i mean after the tsunami ), conclusion? The USA, Europe have donated enough money to help people in Asia, but some rich fellows think it's better to keep it themselves. What have YOU learned this year?
  2. Abacus3, you're acting like RuneScape is something bad. Ok, it's addicting but if it's so addicting to people that they can't live without it they have to search help. It's like giving up smoking, it's hard but it's possible without getting addicted to something new. And RuneScape is in the first place a game, like WoW or Halo, and not something bad because some people don't have control over it anymore
  3. Well, i once did 60 in 1 minute, it was crazy, and i was tired the whole evening. I think around 50.
  4. My teacher said to me i had great talent for piano, i did it for over 10 years, but my problem is that i don't like classical music. I wanted to play pop-songs on piano, but that took me a lot more work then Bach or Mozart. Anyway, if i could choose one ' instrument ' it would be drums, because i'd love it to play in a band and be the ' crazy drummer ' :D
  5. Allright, i'm not drunk or something, but if i can believe my fellow belgians Bohemian Rhasody from Queen is the best song ever, because a few years a radio channel holds a top 200(and then the number of the year) at Christmas and since the beginning that song held the number one. I must say, i didn't know it before i saw it on number one ( ), but i have to admit, it's one of the most complete songs i've ever heard. Nice solo's, not a classic beat with some voice and awesome variations. I don't want to start another - best song ever - topic, but i want your opinion on it, do you like it and is it a worthy candidate for the number one ever? And if not why? Thanks, Gamerr PS: for the people who don't know the song, i think this is a website where you can listen to it => http://www.queenwords.com/lyrics/songs/sng11_01.shtml
  6. I think that is a good idea, but not many people will use that way of crafting. Getting money is easier, cheaper and faster with merchanting, and well you can buy silver bars or other crafting tools with the earned money. So no for me  .
  7. Agh, cmon Bubsa, it's Christmas, try to see the good things in the people. Even if it's almost nothing
  8. This is an useless topic, because you expect us to agree. The reason? Well, it's Christmas. Keep the spirit alive by making presents and help the elves. Allright, it's maybe a bit childish but the update is a great initiative from JAGeX. Why we care about the ' stupid ' scarves and hats? I've said it in another -similar  - topic, if you got those items, you can proof to players who joined RS after the update you've been playing for a long(er) time now. It's a sign from when you've been playing, like the zombie heads, scythes and bunny ears. I'd like to bet you'll be the first one to make a topic about the fact that you didn't get those items and that you find it dishonest. So please, stop making topics that lead us nowhere, you can spend your time on much usefuller things...
  9. What you mean by that. Everytime i make a report i or don't get a message or get an automessage :(
  10. That ' first guy ' you mention, had 10 hits in classic but the amount of hits exp that gives 9 hits in RS2.
  11. It's a noble idea to obtain respect because of a skill, but i don't think that will change a lot. How will you get the exp., and what if you quit. It'll be too hard, but think this way, respect you get from friends, not from random people who think they can say everything - even when it's a game - ...
  12. Well, i find it unfair that the random events give so less exp. If you didn't need food to fight them, or your health bar would be restored after the fight it would be better, but now i think people only fight randoms who could drop something useful.
  13. Well, i really like rares. Ok, they are expensive, but the satisfaction you feel when obtaining one is really great! I'm trying to obtain all ' rare ' items just by mining, and if it'll work i'll let you guys know :) . (PS: help je een beetje duke  )
  14. Phil, you're the topic maker of all that has to do with soccer i see  . Well, it's deserved Ronaldinho is the best player in the world. Forget Beckham, he got a great kick but he's too commercialised in my eyes. Ronaldinho doesn't search attention, and acts normal. A great player, and i enjoy his moves :D
  15. I have to agree with Bubsa, the RS-shop was one of the few-jagex-2005-blunders :D
  16. Gamerr

    Funny Pics!

That made me laugh IRL
  17. If it rains and you have to run over slippery logs for agility... man that'll be hard
  18. Studying and having fun, PS2, going out wih friends, soccer etc. And i'm kinda retired atm from rs :)
  19. People still think that levels in a game make a diffirence, i've met a lot of lower levels then me, and there are also a few on my list. Do i spend less attention on them because of their levels? No, i'm as interested in their stories then i'm in the stories of my higher friends. If you really think that level is an indication of people's their real life, think again because you're wrong. Small comment : i think that level 3 players are ruined because of the real ' newbs '. A newb is for me a person who don't find his way in the game, but you got normal newbs and irritating newbs, people who start to beg from their first steps of tutorial island because they think getting full rune can be obtained in a few days of playing. It's a very irritating way of playing, and i think the frustration of people about these low kind of chars comes from there :( .
  20. Some people don't like the huge p2p world and adore the simplicity of f2p. Myself that is one of the reasons why i'm after so many years still f2p, because it's easier to quit and in my eyes also a lot of fun for an mmporg.
  21. That'll make them loose tons of money.... If you have to pay 50 euro for lifetime and you play 1 year it's useless for them afterall. Mostly lifetime membership is done if we're talking about games in their early developping stage and so the creator(s) need money, quick.
  22. RuneScape has already become such a addicting and endless game, and if you're going to make the levels even higher, people will be afraid to play it because it'll look even more endless. 99 is enough for me, no need for higher ones.
