  1. P2P was the best solution for me. I got crazy about f2p, i had no problem with the slower leveling but with the community. Everything is based on begging, not knowing anything and follow high levels. I feel that if you walk being 110 combat in p2p, you almost won't get followed, but in f2p you get tons of 'newbs' after yourself. Small side comment Ami, you say that you don't want attention, go p2p because there nobody gives you attention. (i mean nobody follows you). One of the reasons you should get it, but i understand if you won't.
  2. Yes. Before i got p2p i was like 2 weeks 85 mining. It was great, because i've earned finally some money. Mining is a nice money making skill, if you're not so good in Pk-ing or merchanting. If you mine the whole day you could make around 1 mil a day.
  3. I'm very lucky, i just got members before the new 'rule' was activated. But Lode, classic isn't worth it (anymore), allright most of the autoers are gone but there are still a lot of them and you can be sure classic will be shut down soon.
  4. I'm convinced some people only want to be player mod for the crown. Not because they can carry the responsibility, but they just want to brag to all their friends with. It's easy to pick out those people, because they aren't honest when they say they will be a good player mod. And about the 'hand-picked- thing, it's bad. Give the responsiblity to people who can carry it, like indeed moderators of help sites or very high skilled people who are very responsible.
  5. thats sad Excuse me? Stop insulting me for no reason, m a l t a had high attack, and against my low defense it was very effective. And my pure had 80 strength for a long time, and that wasn't much lower, but since m a l t a hitted frequently 25+ on me, i thought he was 95+ strength...
  6. Nice kills M A L T A, you say m a l t a was only 82 strength? Dam, i always ran from you
  7. Dragon slayer was also a great moment for me, because I didn't expect it was so easy. I did it in classic, and just when I was planning to finish the dragon, I ran outta food. Good for me there were a few high levels, who gave me swordfishes and i could slay the dragon. I was very grateful, because it's one of the only times really high levels helped me without asking something back.

I feel really sorry for those families. A lack of communication has brought some terrible images above. But I have a small comment on this situation, it's a personal opinion, so please don't flame it. In my eyes, those people were a little too happy when they heard the news. I mean, I would scream when i saw my friend/husband/etc., and not when I heard (read not officially been confirmed) that they are alive. I know they were probably happy their beloved ones were still alive, but still...
  9. RS-classic wasn't a better game, if you look at it objective. But the community was smaller, pkers were more dangerous and everybody knew everybody. (if you had a decent level ofcourse) Now, i feel sometimes lost in the huge p2p world, because in classic you could always find your friends at the same places, but now it's more a lottery if you want to find your friends to 'surpise' em.
  10. Lieve kleine pirahna was better :D
  11. Very nice spam there  . It's going to be a nice TET month :D .
  12. Giving stuff to lower levels if they ask for it isn't smart. Why? It's better to teach them how they have to make money. And if they don't want to listen, you say, well, i've tried to explain you how to make money, or you do it, but don't beg anymore for stuff, because i just taught you how to obtain them yourself.
  13. For me, it's even impossible to study well when theres music around me.
  14. yeah, sorry, in dutch it's ' kuch ' so i thought the english was a little logical there, but i was wrong
  15. I've read the guide but i got some small remarks: - about the school thing i'm suprised you put that in your guide. As mentioned at the ' work ' section, school is maybe even more important then making cash (irl!). I don't think a combination of RuneScape and school is the right thing to do, if i speak in personal experience. I'm not on university, but i think that it's better to study concentrated a few hours and then playing RuneScape for entertainement, then doing it both at the same time. It'll turn out that you aren't focused, and believe me i can't understand you can do stuff for school while you have to pay attention for randoms, full inventory and asking friends. I think that you have to be a genius to learn for a test, i mean with full concentration. - for the rest, nice guide, i already knew everything that is mentioned in it, but i believe it can help a lot of people :)
  16. Honestly, that's something i'd wish too. Some machine that can teleport us to anywhere, so we don't need the expensive cars/boats etc.

  18. No, you've understood me wrong, i just explaind that the username POJ stood for Power Of Jay
  19. In 2002, when i just started playing, i picked up a rune large and rune legs. Back then it was really expensive, so i guess i should be happy. The strange thing is that the drop-trader never showed up to pick up his stuff, so i guess he must have lost connection or something :?
  20. eew.... DS  (*kouch* go psp *kouch*)
  21. Nature is getting really (too) strong Katrina, Rita and other hurricanes have destroyed half the coast of the USA, and i was suprised Bush didn't do anything about it. Yesterday i saw in a TV-show a few images about cops who were robbing stores right after Katrina and who denied it in front of a camera who had seen everything. A few days after the whole city flooded there was no help for the black people or the poor. Way to go Bush, you've spended all the money on (useless) warfare, and now you gotto carry the consequences. Solidarity, yes! Way of spending it, shameful Weird title maybe for you guys, but it's rather a personal experience. At the end of last year, a tsunami has destroyed South-East Asia. So, we (Belgians) started a huge donations fond ('Tsunami 12-12') and we (6 mil people) collected over 55 million euros. I thought, wow that's helpful for the people there but what i see now? A local news-team has filmed a few villages we Belgians were going to help, you know i didn't see any difference between now and a year ago ( and by that i mean after the tsunami ), conclusion? The USA, Europe have donated enough money to help people in Asia, but some rich fellows think it's better to keep it themselves. What have YOU learned this year?
  22. Abacus3, you're acting like RuneScape is something bad. Ok, it's addicting but if it's so addicting to people that they can't live without it they have to search help. It's like giving up smoking, it's hard but it's possible without getting addicted to something new. And RuneScape is in the first place a game, like WoW or Halo, and not something bad because some people don't have control over it anymore
  23. Well, i once did 60 in 1 minute, it was crazy, and i was tired the whole evening. I think around 50.
  24. My teacher said to me i had great talent for piano, i did it for over 10 years, but my problem is that i don't like classical music. I wanted to play pop-songs on piano, but that took me a lot more work then Bach or Mozart. Anyway, if i could choose one ' instrument ' it would be drums, because i'd love it to play in a band and be the ' crazy drummer ' :D
