Hex, from what I understand there were 2 vans. 1 Van you went around snatching people in, assumedly not in front of the bank. 1 Van you drove to 'in front of the bank' when it drove to the front of the bank, it crashed into the metal bollards.

Intelligence is the ability to think coherantly. Leadership is the ability to talk coherantly. If you can do the former the only reason not to be able to do the latter is being dumb.

Though all are found in an ensuing search. RPG manages to lie his way out of the situation. While choosing the people to capture, the van draws the attention of the police, especially after a number of people report the van cruising around snatching people off the streets. Police fail to notice the explosives being brought. The people with explosives strapped to them cause suspision as they enter the bank with guns tied to their hands and the police are tipped off. After they enter the bank they stand looking helpless. With the guns in their hands the police are called almost immediately. They then say 'Please, help us! We have been covered in explosives!' Of course, since none of them have microphones or cameras the team has no idea what is going on. Meanwhile the black van crashes into some metal bollards set up down the road and Iconic is thrown through the windshield, depressing the detonator, blowing up the hostages. Eight hours later the rest of the team are left out of pocket and with no idea what happpened. Please feel free to try again or start a new con.

Metagaming: Personally, things would go alot smoother with proper roles. For example: Earth is a repairman, he does his job, he doesn't spend resources randomly...So trusting him with unlimited access to the Cargo Bay is reasonable. Everyone should have the ability to set a course, on the expressed understanding that if they do so without the Commanding Officer's permission then they lose that ability...So that if Jeremiah is lying unconscience, Nero and Jen are offline and only Faust can stop the massive wall of energy coming at the ship, then Faust can get the ship out of there. At the moment power is just being centralised at the top and people are, understandably, frustrated by this. Also people would have responsibilities...So instead of Earth randomly deciding to Fusion Cutter his way into Faust's Room, there would be a security detail, Theros, for example, who would be responsible for maintaining order...People who took the law into their own hands would be punished accordingly...Either with a stint in the brig(prison) or with reduced responsibilities, or a fine.

The command system the AI currently accepts is Nero-Jeremiah-Jen. If Jeremiah gave Theros command and Jen came on then the order would go Nero-Jeremiah-Theros-Jen. Nex, the log is there, find the time code and post it, then everyone can see.

The science Lab was destroyed when Jen crashed the Kirby into the Unity. The Science Lab has the best scanner.

Earth, ok, you have until the start of the next session if you want to change your mind(IE of Ross orders you to bring it to his quarters for inspection, or some such) In other news: A Swiss Vessel is requesting docking permission with the Unity. It is, according to recieved communications, a cargo vessel, carrying a care package for Echo. The cargo consists of 300 kT of raw materials, a Shuttle and blueprints for the Disruptor Rifle, level 10. A Terran Federation Shuttle is requesting docking with the Unity to discuss issues with Theros. A British Ship has arrived and is requesting permission to beam a crewman aboard to discuss issues with Jeremiah. Also, 3 kT of damage has been done to the Unity by Hunter Seeker Drones sent by the UN.

While repairing the Saber, the young Engineer Earth comes across a package marked 'Jen-The Last Will and Testimony'. What does Earth do? You have until the next session to decide.

Hi, Due to a certain amount of underpreparedness by me, a certain amount of having a channel open for over an hour before we started and a certain amount of more people than I was expecting...That/this session has kinda gone awry. However, it did not go too badly...though I was disappointed =( In the news: Jen has been carted off to stand trial for mining without a permit. The AI randomly went offline for 20 minutes, during which time Jen managed to crash the Kirby into the Unity, destroying the Science bay and the Kirby's Ion Cannon and Mining Laser Array. 150,000 Credits were withdrawn from the Ship's fund to pay for 130kT to repair the Kirby. While conducting the repairs Theros renamed the Kirby the Saber and brought under the Unity's Command Structure. The Swiss Habitation fleet reached Planitia unmolested and the UN is collapsing as countries being opposing it over everything.

Celtia pulls the Pagan Card and Posiden/Neptune is sacrificed on an Altar. :rolleyes:

AI Log Supplemental-Rebuttal The AI Log should remain encrypted for the sessions, and be decrypted afterwards...The point of the encryption is to give some people an advantage for spending a little extra time working on stuff. Decrypting them an hour beforehand just means that if someone joins late everyone knows everything already. It also gives the game a little interdependency...The Captain(Jeremiah or Nero) don't have time to fiddle around with the logs (Neither does Jen but yeah), so they should get reports from those such as Theros...And if Theros wants to 'massage' the truth a little... For the glory of Archimage.

Turn based is good, as is Real Time Strategy...But when people bring in 3D graphics things tend to get worse...Because people go 'Ah, the display is too complicated now' and so it is pathetically simplifed or cross-bred. Civ 5, C&C 4, Red Alert 3... Isometric was, and probably always will be, the best format for Strategy games...It allows a simple interface and alots of complicated stuff going on 'under the bonnet'. Probably, though, the best games are Tavern Games =P

Same...I like FPS to play, but if I am looking through stuff to buy I just bypass it...They are always more or less the same and they are overly easy...I find.

AI Log Supplemental The crew should be sedated pending psyche evaluations. For the Glory of Archimage. (Cryptograms and what not are fun...But please only encrypt stuff if there is actually a good reason to encrypt it... Solving 'I went to the shops to buy some milk, roflcopter' isn't fun, isn't revealing and isn't worthwhile. Also...The Cryptograms are supposed to be solvable...Impossible to crack puzzles don't really have a purpose.)

I had that happen to me before with a pea...It as alright when I didn't move, but when I did, it moved and it felt like...Well, imagine you have some velcro, it felt like the roof of my mouth was that and the pea was someone moving another peice of velcro over the top. So I spent around half an hour swallowing saliva with my mouth closed and breathing deeply through my nose...
