A person who left Hegemony when it was moved to the Tavern. He controlled Russia, which I took control of randomly, thus cementing my Modship with a smooth transition of power that wasn't 'I give all my stuffs to person X'...It also catalysed the war between Britannia and the Terran Federation.

As does everyone...The Tavern requires no special kind of person...and like Sere, Doom and Walker, Hex will never be forgotten as long as people use the Tavern for its proper purpose...creating roleplays for the enjoyment of everyone who plays them.

Triffids are fictional plants that eat humans and other large animals, with an extremely potent venom. They were introduced in the book 'Day of the Triffids', where they were commonplace since they produced cheap oil, and were exotic...so everyone had one in their garden, docked of its stinger, obviously(Which regrew after 3 years). There was a celestial event and anyone who saw the event went blind, thus removing the key advantage that humans had over the Triffids, allowing them to take over. British Classic. Anyway, Zombie Triffids? Would there be a difference? Though the concept of animals refusing to eat infected meat has 2 main flaws: 1. Staving animal is gonna eat the food. 2. Animals having a sixth sense for viruses is total fantasy, I can understand half rotten or some such, but if there were two lumps of meat, identical except for the virus, then why would animals be able to tell the difference and not humans?

What would be really cool, probably not very handy, but really cool, was if you had a Triffid beside you when the Zombie Apoc began...Since Zombies only seem to eat meat, and are generally thought to be extremely slow, the Triffid should have a very high level of advantage. Of course if you had the triffid in advance you could injest a small amount of the venom every day, giving you eventual immunity. Since Triffids are supposed intelligent they would target the Zombies first, as they are slow and resiliant(more food), while Humans are fast and weak. Then you would simply wait a week or so, ideally you would have some books to help this, then go and look for Human surviours, bring them back to your base of operations, feed them triffid enhanced foods for a few weeks, while you built a wall of some kind...Build a little community with farmland... Eventually get around to building a Triffid Oil Generator, capture a triffid, dock it, harvest the oil whenever. So, in effect, the two curses cancel each other out...Though eventually you would be facing a planet dominated by Triffids rather than Zombies...but you have...about a hundred years? before the Triffids spread beyond the regional area(Assuming you started with one)...allowing you to build weapons to kill both, taking back Terra one Triffid/Zombie at a time. Now...If only we had a triffid to start with.

Well...I would say either that you have damaged it through a power overload or you have damaged it in some other way. And no, the same joke being repeated in a slightly different way doesn't make it more funny.

I have noticed that people who use ridiculously complicated ways of connecting to the internet, or dozens of monitors or who upgrade their computer...Or any number of other things that only computer people do...Tends to savagely curtail the life of a computer. However, this is being balanced out gradually by the number of people with Laptops and Beds...Do people honestly not think 'Hmm, this laptop is making a lot of noise, maybe I should investigate?', 'Hmmm, this fan is awfully hot, I should stop laying it directly in the quilt' No...They see it and go 'hmmm' then put it back down. Anyway, humour...No, you don't need to know who Sherry is to appreciate the humour...however the level of humour is very low. First one: Happy person, destructive person. Simple juxtaposition with the happy person losing. Second one: Hunter becomes the hunted. Simple transition. Something infinately more humourous than either of them is: It is immensly funny when spoken aloud because of the long, detailed story which is suspence building, especially to anyone who knows anything about the Second World War and wordplay. So even though it is only a very simple joke, Supplies to Surprise...essentially a joke about the Asian Accent(Though in this example it has been modified to be a joke within a joke, told by the Japanese man...Since Pearl Habour was an amazingly good Surprise...and since the rules say disparagment is wrong, so I have avoided it just in case our definations of disparagement vary)...It grows into a powerful piece of humour. Far more so than the inherant humour that occurs as an evolutionary responce to changing circumstances, Happy to Sad and Hunter to Hunted.

Indeed, since then you would have faced a Gavrill...and neither you, nor Jean, were Russian.

You already said to let other people control you if you left suddenly...so there wasn't any need to pause...Also, since you didn't return that night, pausing it would have ended the session...and since we had already extended the session through 4 nights it seems reasonable to draw the line. And, if I had strictly followed my own rules you would both have died, however, since the others didn't take control(for whatever reason) I decided to just have you horribly maimed.

Mather...Mature humour is not 'Lol, sex joke'...that is low brow. Mature Humour are the jokes that are as funny today, as they were 50 years ago...Like: Knock, Knock Who's There? Doctor Doctor Who? How did you know! OR When is a door not a door? When its ajar! OR What is brown and sticky? A Stick.

Yeah, maybe lasers/railguns/whatever do roughly the same amount of damage, but have little quirks that make them different.

Nope, I am always available when I am available.

Doesn't really matter what I think the Admin should do, they will do whatever they think is right, and if they want to ask our opinion they will ask. As for my Conscience, its squeeky clean...

 Cept for the wordplay, its far more wordplay-y than that. 3 minute reminder, refer here for details: http://forum.tip.it/topic/279193-space/page__view__findpost__p__4610384

She could...but if she wasn't just inactive, and was going through a hard time, might feel better knowing we were thinking of her...If she isn't going through a hard time, then she probably won't be offended that we are concerned.

Hmmm, Wisp must have more serious problems than I thought. We should all wish her well.

It depends on if the explosives are armed and have a blast radius larger than the distance they can run in the time it takes for the timer to count down.

I think it was personal issues.

What about spinal damage...or even severing the head? Technically not brain damage, but the effect should be deadly, since the interaction between Brain and body would be interupted. It would also mean there was no definate way to tell if you had it or not...save for killing yourself...or pouring blood into the mouth of someone who is DEFINATELY not infected and then killing them.

Nah, I asked for it to be split off, I didn't want a flame war to derail the thread.
