Retech, finished the puzzles. Nex, if you imagine the shields are like a sheet of paper, the bolt would have to stop inside the sheet of paper to 'adhere' to it. Too much force it goes right through, too little force and it doesn't penetrate. And no, channelling the power from the wires into the shield would damage the shield, but would not cause any more damage than if you just shot the energy at the shield in an Anti-Proton Beam...for example.

*Crys* I take Scotland, which I rename Celtia. I begin by reordering Celtia's Economy: We focus on producing (In Order) Grain, Barley, Cows, Timber, Sheep, Gold and in small scale coal mining. Other activities neccessary to the survival of the country are also enaged in. We also begin construction of a Roman Style Road to Britannia. This road will form the backbone of our country, taking 10 years(2 resets) to complete, with multiple branch routes coming off of that road, to local towns and villages which want a road(They have to build it themselves) We also begin building a New, Large, Industrial Hub in the City of Archi, on the river Tyne, where Gateshead is. The City of Archi will contain a large array of forges and furnaces, devoted to the production of Iron Ingots and Broad Iron strips, with small holes in for leather fastening. A small dock is also constructed in Archi, with the potential for a much larger naval ship yard in the future. To aid in the weapon training a University of Chivalry is Established in Archi The political structure of Celtia is also reordered over the next twenty years: Each of the seven districts are given total control and are named as 'States'. A weak Federal Government, centralised in Archi, is established, having extremely curtailed powers. Taxation and crap like that are ignored. Blood and Iron are the only thing the Government asks of its people. A Policy of Militas is established. Twenty percent of a village/town/city must be trained with Swordsmanship and have full armour. Villages/whatever without full armour will be tithed in leather until the armour has been brought. In the event of war, 15% of the population of a town will be called on to join the National Army. They will do so as divisions of their village/whatever. Thus they are only serving with people they know and trust...The Battlefield Commander merely takes the army to the battle, from there on out, it is the individuals in charge of each group that lead the division. (IRC FTW!) After 1 year 5% of the Army is rotated with the 5% which stayed at home. This is done just after the harvest, so as to make sure the maximum amount of food can be harvested. This is repeated yearly. The University of Chivalry will train trainers to go out to villages/whatever and teach swordsmanship to the milita, tactics will also be covered. Trade Deals are thus: I offer a trade deal with Britannia. We give you large amounts of Scotch Whiskey and Grain, you give us Iron mined from Wales. Research: Lorica segmentata (10 Years) Steel (40 Years) River Boats (20 Years) Double Malt Whisky (10 Years) Upshot: Celtia begins to form a stockpile of iron strips, the purpose of which is to duplicate the Roman Lorica segmentata, along with tower shields and swords. It also establishes strong relations with Britannia, a hopefully firm ally as we protect our Island from invading forces. Celtia creates a functional system of Government, making it possible to implement the Feudal System. Celtia leapfrogs into a developing nation, thanks to its rich agriculture and raw material deposits, and bold, decisive leader, King Arthur.

Metagaming: Hull-Breach BEGONE!

Nex, ah, they would need to stop inside the shield, which would be a tricky thing to do.
-
Adhere something to shielding? You can, but it would drain shielding pretty fast.

Sufficing to say(I won't continue arguing because there are no constant points, so we can both be right and both be wrong.) that logic is subjective, thus basing a game on 'Logic' means 'based on what I believe to be true'. If you go around saying 'Oh, everyone hated Black Magic' then you are obviously wrong. The Pagans, for example...the Aztexs, with their blood sacrifices...One person dying is nothing major. Going 'People don't know how to use a gun' is also flawed...since someone obviously made it, so they know how to use it...If you were going to be difficult then I would just take a slightly longer route...Example, I would blow up gunpowder outside of a chamber(Which is not overly dangerous), I would then invent hydraulics, so inventing the idea of pressure...then I would put the gunpowder in a container with 5 fixed sides, one movable side, and a fuse, see what happened after lighting the fuse. Then I would load a projectile on movable side. Thus inventing the gun...and knowing the power of hydraulics and gunpowder, I would not point it at my face. Now, obviously you can have the gun blow up, which will just have me refine the method down until you have no alternatives to break logic or give me guns. Also...You have stated that Discontent and Patriotism have increased...What are their levels now? You would need to keep alot of notes which would lead to alot of arguements, some of which you will lose...you need to be ready to admit you are wrong occassionally...winning every argument will lose you the argument.

Nobody noticed it so there is no reality. Yes, despite people using magic alot, no one would use them at all. Indeed, you also hold the stem of the banana to imagine shooting. Which was the point. Unless you have a track record as a good mod, you annoy people and people don't play your game.
-
Amazing...What has that to do with anything? Hiring a swordsman in 2010 is perfectly possibly and doesn't require slavery... Ok. 1 person dies...Oh no...People learn how to use guns...I win every war for the next 20 years. Because you hold the curved part of the banana...not the straight part...think about it. My sister plays for them...So thanks. Haha, you just annoyed your player...
-
I said 'I make slavery Illegal' something every country except America managed to do without having a Civil War. Shooting themselves, yes, that is possible, probable even, but Guns are intuitive to hold. No it isn't. Its quite relevant...even if you don't know how to use a gun, you can hit someone with it. Hence Banana... What percentage was the increase? (What you don't know: Its an amature girl's football team to the second division in a county...Thus if you said 1% then I can beat you round the head with that peice of trivia.) That rule will stand up for all of 5 minutes.
-
Yes, a system that cares about its subjects to a system that killed 50 million in 20 years. Most people disagree with slavery but it didn't stop you from trying to blow my civilisation with anti-anti-slavery protests. And people know how to hold a gun...its intuitive....like holding a banana. Your logic is thus deeply flawed because you are not thinking about this deeply enough. This is not a personal dig at you, everyone has this flaw because no one has the whole sum of human knowladge strapped into their heads. For example, if I said that, as leader of Britian, I use my influence to promote the football team 'Castle Colts' to the second division of the Kent Championships, then you would either have to look those two things up...or you would have to make an educated guess of the results of that action, if any action was taken, since I could whisper something in someone's ear and no one would be any the wiser of the action. Hence why a Hegemony based on logical reactions to statements is very unstable. And yet it was entirely logical...hence why your rules collapse in on themselves.

Russian Revolution defeats your rules. Also Jen's Anthrax attack defeats your rules. Mather: I make a metal case, filled with explosives and a detonator. Bombs away.

I disagree, most groups thought their leader was God incarnate, so why would they disagree with me for me starting a crash course of Industrialisation... and me THINKING IN MY HEAD about Nuclear Weapons and Europe...for something that is intended to happen in 80 years. You need to seperate we we actually do and what we think about doing. So it just means no one tells you their long term plans...thus you have no context.
-
So basically, my dictatorship can be defeated by an election...
-
Neither did 1900 Russia. Earth: Amazing, a logical decision. You then get ripped apart by the person you just kicked out the game.
-
I control China in 83 BC, with a population over 150 million. I issue an edict to embark on a crash course of Industrialisation, based on the Soviet 'Great Leap Foward'. I predict that, in 80 years, I will have Nuclear weapons. This statement is based on the fact that both the Soviets and the 1st century BC Chinese use Wooden Plows and have the ability to make steel. I then Nuke Europe.
-
I want to do a ww2 one, but I am waiting for a Christmas Present. And alternative history is difficult to do because people disagree alot. God no. If you like. Tech Tree guidelines Resets are ok. I think...and this is just me thinking...that each country should get a set number of actions per reset.
-
Great, you just had April 2010 Britian explode by something that actually happened. You need to actually know some context before reacting...and players never give much context.
-
Earth, I issue an edict that slavery is now illegal in my country. What happens? Iconic, then start a thread and we will see who wants to play it.
-
Who's logic? According to Retechian Logic you can sell blankets to people with fur suits and they will buy them. According to Matherian Logic you can tax people more money than they earn. According to Archi Logic you can turn minor xenophobia into a willingness to nerve gas everyone else. Yup, and you, as a British person, will have a different notion of what that is to the Americans... If you do, I will declare civil dispute and seperate from the other half of the country. And doesn't address the issue of no available mod.
-
Ico, sure, if you need any help just ask.
-
Ah, fraid not. I have been terribly tired all day, so I will do it tommrow.
-
Right...So basically Hegemony with the words 'I issue the edict that' before every post Or one with endless arguements that 'I issue an edict that everyone who researches nuclear weapons gets 50,000 whatevers a year, so I have 5,000,000 people and so I will have nukes in 3 years' 'No. 5,000,000 random people researching Nuclear weapons does not create nuclear weapons.' 'STOP MODDING ARCHI, I KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN' Such as? Police raids? People accuse the mod of overreacting. Gang Leadership wars? No, because if a person looses they get booted out the game.... The game is also fundermentally flawed in that it is based on one word 'Gangsta'...Which doesn't mean anything except a diregard for the conventions of the English Language and the insertion of a swear in every other sentence. Yeah...I can just see it now, me and Jen on the same team...the country declares civil war. Forced groupings is a bad idea. And if it was grouping by choice then everyone wants to join Nero first and maybe me second. And, fundermentally, the only person who has shown any sort of long term ability in modding a Hegemony Game, except me, is Nero. So starting games that neither me, nor Nero, will go for is spitting into the wind.

Guns, why have you forsaken us!!!! =P But seriously, putting in big letters 'JOIN US WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS!' just conjures up images of rage addicted computer people who stream torrents of abuse for no reason other than that they believe they are right. That and Nation Creation Died and we haven't played a DnD style game in months, so it is fictious as well as portraying us as loudmouthes...
