  1. Hehe, I know, I just wanted to make sure if I felt the urge I could link my signature to something =P And I had been toying with the idea of calling the ship something to do with Luna...not sure what, part of the reason I created the thread =)
  2. *Wink* Anyway, update will be done as soon as, with all todays extenuating circumstances having now run their course, save one, dinner, and that should be finished soon
  3. Hey all, Cause I am soooooo pshyced about the new Rogue Trader game Grim is starting, I have begun a Retech Style Stalk whenever he is online(and even when he is not online  ). So, after some badgering we created my character, and I have set about getting things organised...and part of that organisation is working out the crew, name and design for the Epic Ship we shall soon possess. So character creation: For each characteristic go here: http://www.pbegames.com/roller/#theRoller Enter your Email, then enter Grim's Email underneath(plus anyone else's) Fill in the summery as 'RT characteristics' or something similar. Set show results to both Number of Rolls: 9 Dice Type: 2d10 Rolls per Line: 1 You should get something that looks like this: [hide] ---- Signed section - include this line ---- Results sent via email and displayed via web. Summary: Dice rolls generated by Play by Electron Games -------------------------------------------------- Roll One Generating 9 rolls of 2d10+25, 1 per line Comment: 30 34 38 44 36 37 37 37 41 ---- Signed section - include this line ---- Signature: 8c2c37cf83e53e60b634a17e4a48031d To verify: http://www.pbegames.com/verify/ [/hide] Copy this to notepad and save it, as the email system can be tempermental. You now have your 9 characteristics. Then pick out your path on this grid: [hide] [hide] You can only go directly down or directly diagonally down, except when choosing a career, which can go any way, as long as you can come up with an explaination of how it all fits together. These occasions give you a point of commonality, like being press-ganged to the same ship. This is one of the ways to flesh out your character to more than just the stats (and descriptions of the classes if you have read the manual) Next, ask yourself six questions: What is Your Demeanour? Why Are You a Leader Aboard a Rogue Trader Vessel? Why Does the Koronus Expanse Call to You? What Will You Sacrifice for Success? What Is Your Ambition? What Are Your Hatreds? You don't need to post these(and in many instances it is probably better you didn't) Some Tips: Rogue Trader land is extremely friendly, so sunshine and dasies character won't fit in. Some questions, like 'What will your sacrifice' see cliche, so look at them skeptically and try to answer them honestly(in terms of your character)...Give yourself a balanced scenario like 'There is the choice between the armour that I have been trying to get for the last ten sessions and saving Archi's Character from eternal damnation, which do I choose?', don't do the 'Supreme power verses saving someone', everyone choose Supreme Power now, but in game saves them because supreme power ends the game for them(at least). Tie in your Origin Path were possible. This is about as far as you can go without a manual (PM Grim if you need to know where to buy one...) Alternatively, ask questions of those with manuals, or wait till saturday and discuss it with everyone else.
  4. Very true, Doom's Nuclear tech is very long term solution. The only potential downside is that Uranium/Plutonium will run out, eventually, which will mean that the reactor can't sustain itself, or can only sustain itself inefficently. Though the earliest that should occur is 2100.
  5. Ah, I see what went wrong mather, I did your division twice. Should be: 1,544,664,625,705.88
  6. Firstly, the Destroyers/Subs cost 500 million originally. They now cost 510 million if we converted currency from Euros to Dollars(at a ratio of 1:3.4) The Delhi Class Destroyer is worth 2137.11 crore (which means ten million rupees). Which converts as 478,418,063 USD. Furthermore: The construction of a Nimitz Class Super Carrier is 4.5 Billion Dollars. The Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer costs 1.1 Billion Dollars, with the hull and such being worth 322 Million Dollars. While I am happy to refund you the 3.9 Billion Dollars overspend on the destroyers/subs, you can also say that these vessles are 'State of the Art' and therefore have a bonus. Though at 4* the price its not terribly worth it.

Fortuately, for some hitherto unexplained reason, this results in +3% growth for everyone. Please note that the Euro is worth 3.4 Dollars for any Wikipedia price grabs. Prices: Soliders: Prestige*600 Basic Tanks: Prestige*10,000 Basic Aircraft: Prestige*3,000 Basic Destroyers: 150 Million Basic Subs: 150 Million Basic Cruisers: 250 Million Anything you design yourself will be given a price, and stuff you get on Wikipedia will get a different price as well. There are two reasons for this change over: First, Germany is well respected and economically prosperous, while America is seen as fundermentally evil and is in an economic blackhole thanks to its war with Canada. Second, There will, occasionally, be economic changes like this. Usually because prices have risen because everything is going great, prices have fallen because everything is going to hell, or because a certain currency is doing considerably better than the current currency. What this means for you? +3% growth and minor annoyance with a slightly different system. If you prefer to keep using Dollars you can and I will translate, just be sure to say 'Dollars', otherwise you will end up spending a load extra. No Anyway, report time: Germany: The German special forces have finally been taken off alert, except around labs, GASP and other areas of scientific interest. In America German and Canadian troops begin a mild counter offensive, though it failed to gather any momentum due to the fatigue of the troops, the lack of avalible troops, and aircraft/artillary pieces. With the fresh units built in Germany still completing their training. The Canadian-American war ground to an unsatisfactor halt, as Canadian-German forces countered with overwhelming strength at any singular point, when the Americans launched their assaults, largely thanks to American battle plans being provided to them by anoynomous parties. China, Japan and Germany sign a peace treaty. Germany has also released Eurofighter 3 Variants, of the Blitz and Storm Varity. Argentina/Coalition: Having scraped the last barrel of oil clean, the Argentine Air and Naval force set off this year, making sure to destroy as much of the Anglo-Franco-African force as possible, before it landed on the shore. At the same time Argentine Land Forces surged the beacheads. In places the combined force was enough to entirely destroy the landing forces, but in others this turned into a nightmare, with Overwhelming Coalition Air Superiority, combined with Cruise Missiles, combined with Anti-Air Guns, totally annhilated the Argentine forces, which had been skimmed by Argentine high command for an invasion force. Ergo was weaker than normal. The Coalition failed, entirely, to capitalise on this, prefering instead to dig in and lick their wounds, with large potions of their war effort defend Africa. Overall nothing significant happened, apart from a Brazilian News Team getting hit by a stray cruise missile. The South Africans, used to relying on data collected by field agents, completely missed the obvious signs of an enemy preparing to launch a sea invasion, and foolishly believed that the Argentine fleet was bottled up in harbour, save a few prowelling submarines. Thus, when the Argentine fleet broke out, as one cohesive lump, the Coalition was staggered, and early raids, by Argentina, sunk 2 of the 3 Aircraft carriers deployed by Britian/France, which limited the effective raiding power as the massive, 1 million strong, army made its way across the ocean. The two navies sparred day and night for almost a week, with West Coast Africans rushing to prepare for the imminant landing parties, which became more and more localised around South Africa, until everyone was certain that would be the final location. With the majority of its land forces away in South America the South African state was, more or less, at the mercy of the Argentine Hoard, who overcame the meger defences within a few short hours, and set about on a mass pillage and looting spree. The United African Army, some 500,000 troops, hurriedly gathered by the States themselves to defend their fellow nation (though more likely because they fear an Argentine advance into their territory as well), progressed south, with some sporadic fighting, though for the most part the Argentine and African forces avoided each other. The Africans checking the Argentines didn't go too far into their territory, the Argentines only looting as much as they could carry. Within a few weeks, while the rest of the world was still deciding what to do, the Argentine army/navy loaded up and set sail home, carrying with them some 30 Billion(102 Billion Dollars) Euros in hardware, art and other such stuff. Argentines also rounded up some 300,000 prisoners. The world press initially thought these were replacement slaves, but the Argentine Government later declared that these were 'a pound of flesh', or payback for the deaths of Argentine Civilians in the unjust war perpetrated against them. The prisoners were forced to dig a mass grave and where then ordered to conduct ritual combat in the style of Ancient Africans. Argentine Spokesmen said 'We wanted them to feel that we respected their culture, so we relieved them of their modern trappings and allowed them to return to their tribal state.' The Last Man Standing was originally promised freedom, though he was eventually shot to 'Show the South Africans that even in Victory there is defeat.' The Argentine army then departed, suffering from sustained bombing runs throughout the duration, which was the source of most of the casualties of the expedition, though also the source of many of the Coalition air losses. Casualities: Americans: 20,000 Canadians: 14,000 Germans: 4,000 Argentine: 1,100,000, 1,200 Aircraft, 9 Submarines, 3 Destroyers, 100 tanks. Africa: 180,000, 650 SAM Platforms, 32 Tanks. 500,000 Civilians. NPC Coalition: 210,000, 1,900 Aircraft, 15 Destroyers, 2 Aircraft Carriers, 7 Tanks. Brazil: 4 Civilians (If there are MAJOR problems with Euros I will do something)
  8. Its updated on Tuesdays, aka today. And with such a massive list of countries it doesn't pay for me to update them daily.
  9. No assumptions about South African Slaves, its fairly clear there aren't any.
  10. Just as a note, which was included to Mather, though he ommited it, killing players TEMPORARILY removes them from the game...for a period of three or four years. On the subject of Canada, Germans never got to Toronto, it is still very much in the hands of America. Also back in the other games, where war lasted a year as if it was real...in the real world fighting to a matter of weeks...on that premise no one could respond to anything... Furthermore, war isn't supposed to be dreadfully easy, hence why America doesn't declare war on Mexico and Canada in the real world... Based on? Assuming a Trident 2 Missile, it carries eight 485kt bombs, each of which weighs 360 kilograms. So lets round that to 3 Tonnes of High Explosive, which should equate to 0.375 of a 8 Tonne bomb(MOAB), which detonates with 11 Tonnes of TNT of explosion. Now 11*0.375 is 4.125 Tonnes of TNT. Little Boy Atomic Bomb had a TNT Tonnage of 15 Kilotonnes(ish), and had a blast radius of 2 Miles. Now, while not directly compatible, I think it is fairly reasonable to assume that a 4.125 Tonne bomb would not be able to spread itself 4 times as far, doing 4 times as much damage as a 15,000 Tonne Bomb...Am I right? Nor do I think that a bomb of 4.125 Tonnes of TNT could kill more people than a 15,000 Tonne Bomb. Even if we take 450,000 people as Hiroshima's 1945 population, and 10 Million as Jakarta's population...and increase of approximately 20 Becayse 4.125*20 =/= 15,000 (It actually equals 82.5)
  11. Three things: First: Which Capitol do you mean? People's Consultative Assembly Regional Representative Council People's Representative Council Rocco's House The Supreme Court Constitutional Court Judicial Commission The Cabinet Its quite alot of buildings to bomb...and: Second: ICBMs are accurate to within half a kilometer...thats not a brilliant method of hitting buildings that are less than 100 meters wide. Rocco hasn't told me he was building a villa the size of 4 football stadium so... Third: Carpet bombing is the large scale bombing of large targets e.g. cities
  12. Germany: Germany has rolled out its first 2nd Generation Bio-fuel field, this rapid breakthrough has ignored many scientific protocols and has widely been regarded as bad science by the rest of the world. It has, however, been completed. Boats from Germany have been bombed in the Pacific, by the Chinese Airforce. The vessels were laying mines and thus were fair game. Germany has issued a declaration of war to avenge the families lost in the battle. China has, likewise, declared war due to Germany mining the trade routes between them and Japan. Japan has also declared war in support of China. At home Germany has invested in Rostok, and the German Chancellor used this platform to make a speech on the dangers of the modern world, and to ask the Germany people to sign up, to protect the world from Tyranny. Germany security officals have been seen lighting bonfires in trashcans filled with 'HIGH SECURITY IS REQUIRED' Notices. Or they would have been, if they hadn't been arrested for disturbing the public order, and for polluting the environment. The fires were later disposed of by means of explosion, when questioned the officer in charge replied 'If I get another one of those damned memos I am gonna have to arrest myself or I don't know what I will do!' Fiction in Germany has developed quite considerably in the past few years, becoming dominated with Sci-Fi novels, but also the ethics behind the novels. Clear Sky has taken responsibility for writing some of these novels and is petitioning for the release of bussinessmen arrested by the German Government. When reporters questioned the Clear Sky writers they replied 'Just because someone believes Science is Out of Control, doesn't make them a terrorist!' They were then arrested for crimes against humanity and their petition was recycled, ironically, into memos asking for higher security measures. While the man in the street suffers under the eye of 'The Man', large areas, such as sports areanas, have been converted in to Refugee Centers, taking people fleeing from China, Japan, Indonesia, Canada, Argentina, Africa, America, the Middle East, Australia, Russia and South America. There are over 6 million foreign nationals currently housed in these centers, with limited access to basic amenities like showers and sanitation, as such disease and illness is running rife, and the food bill has skyrocketed, forcing the Government to raise taxes by 5%. However Germany is now see as a front runner in Ethics the modern world, both for this, and intervening in all three of the current ethical crisises in the world.(+6 Moral Standing) 50,000 highly trained soliders have been deployed to Toronto, how exactly they arrived in Canada is unknown, they just sort of appeared on a beach, though locals say that there were submarines. Though Germany doesn't have that many Submarines so this has been discounted. In any event the Germans disembarked at Canadian held Qubeck, before advancing south down highway 40 to Montreal, where they helped break deadlock, allowing Canada to repulse the strike force there. However, with highway 201 largely in American hands, and without any airfields in the area to support the German Eurofighters, the German force turned towards Ottawa instead, joining the defence there, parts of the German Airforce landing nearby, providing arial support. The three German Aircraft carriers then retreated to Kiel, with their planes now based in airbases. Meanwhile Destroyers, flanked by different Submarines, these ones apparently German, advanced along the Argentine coast, launching cruise missile attacks on Military bases. The Argentine airforce, numbering some 1,000 of the new 'Biro' Jet fighter/bomber, launched bombing runs against the fleet, sinking all but one of the destroyers, which limped into Mare Harbour, East Falkland. This attack was supposed to include 10 newly commissioned battleships, however the designs for these ships have not yet been completed. If they had been present the effect would, in all likelyhood, have been negligable. Also meanwhile, troops recruited just this year were rushed to Australia, initially to help with the rebuilding effort. They were onhand to arrest some 700 Japanese Pilots. Total Casualities: 18,000 American Germans 4 Destroyers 10 Submarines 38 Euro-Fighters Japan: Japan launched as, somewhat decisive, ICBM strike against Indonesia earlier this year, which destroyed Indonesia's one Missile Silo, along with 2 ICBMs stored there. Indonesia, which had been monitoring the Chinese and Japanese carefully, knew that a joint assault was in the offing, and, knowing that Japan had recently installed a Missile Defence system around Toyko (Seriously, its hard to miss), they launched a devestating counter SLBM attack on the Chinese Army, destroying over half of it. Japan's second ICBM then crashed down in the Indonesian Capital. The ICBM destroyed several buildings and started raging fires. Japanese fighters arrived shortly after this and proceeded to attack Indonesian Anti-Aircraft emplacements. Because of careful intelligence gathering the Indonesian defences were entirely compromised within two hours, allowing the rest of the Japanese airforce to arrive, laden with bombs, which were then dropped onto Jakarta, virtually leveling the city. A second force bombed the Borneo Silo. Some five million civilians to escape before the carpet bombing took place, with another 3 Million taking cover in the Ultra-Reinforced Concrete Bunkers, buried deep underground, away from the death dealing explosives. The Indonesian Airforce, consisting of some 50 planes altogether, never hoped to engage the 148 planes arrayed against them. Instead a strike team of 2 Harriers, hugging the ocean to avoid radar detection, set off for the five aircraft circling around the islands, devoid of any kind of protection. Indonesian Command realised that these five aircraft were extenders, and, thanks to a pocket calculator, wikipedia and radar, knew that the Japanese airforce would need to refuel at least once before returning home. Thus, when the first bombers began to head for the extenders, the Harriers rose vertically and opened fire, downing all five of the extenders. The Japanese broke off their attack within minutes, though by this point only a handful of aircraft had enough fuel to reach Japan, thus turned and headed for Australia, where they were captured and arrested by the German Forces there. Indonesian Casualties: 1 ICBM Silo, 30 ICBMs used, 2 ICBMs destroyed, 1.58 Million Civilians, numerous defensive installations. Japanese Casualities: 5 KC-10 Extender destroyed 4 F-35 Lightning crashed 6 F-35 Lightning impounded by Germany 71 F-16 Fighting Falcon impounded by Germany 12 F-16 Fighing Falcon shot down/crashed 20 AH-64 Apache shot down/crashed 30 AH-64 Apache impounded by Germany Spain: Spain makes a speech condemning America's invasion of Canada, and evacuated over a million people. Argentina: Argentina has begun a massive overhaul to its social spending. However this has not been enough to quiet slave rebels, who have been forced into building dozens of ships and thousands of aircraft, with the sole intention of keeping them enslaved! Argentina has introduced a 'Shoot on sight' policy of rebel slaves, which has only made the situation worse, as innocent slaves are getting shot, and are rising up against this injustice as well. In total some 400,000 Slaves are rioting. This situation was made considerably worse when several of the key military commanders killed by African Kill Teams, specifically South African. The Kill Teams abandoned any sense of subtly and their tactics ranged from smashing open a gas pipe and setting light to it, to poisoned soup, to anthrax by mail. The South Africans also took to the streets, calling for slaves to rise up, though this ended very quickly due to the 'shoot on sight' policy. The general confusement made it near impossible to co-ordinate defence when the inital Coalition attacks came, though as the week wore on the replacement commander were housed in special bunkers, away from the threat of exploding icepicks or anthrax ferrets. It was also the case that South African Interdiction of the roads slowed down responces by the Argentinian Army. However overwhelming air support resulted in the total destruction of the African Airforce before they could complete even half of their objectives, made sure that the overall affect was limited. The Argentinian people have come out in support of their leader Hamlet the Argentine, who made an epic speech: "This is I, Hamlet the Argentine, I am speaking to you from the Cabinet Room. This morning the Argentine Ambassador in Berlin handed the German Government a final note stating that unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Argentina, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany. You can imagine what a bitter blow it is to me that all my long struggle to win peace has failed. Yet I cannot believe that there is anything more or anything different that I could have done and that would have been more successful. Up to the very last it would have been quite possible to have arranged a peaceful and honourable settlement between Germany and Argentina. But Hitler would not have it. He had evidently made up his mind to attack Argentina whatever happened; and although he now says he put forward reasonable proposals which were rejected by us, that is not a true statement. The proposals were never shown to us; and though they were announced in the German broadcast on Thursday night, Hitler did not wait to hear comments on them, but ordered his troops to land in Argentina the next morning. His action shows convincingly that there is no chance of expecting that this man will ever give up his practice of using force to gain his will. He can only be stopped by force and we are to-day, in fulfilment of our obligations, going to the aid of our people, who are so bravely resisting this wicked and unprovoked attack upon our people. We have a clear conscience. We have done all that any country could do to establish peace, but a situation in which no word given by Germany's ruler could be trusted and no people or country could feel themselves safe had become intolerable. And now that we have resolved to finish it, I know that you will all play your part with calmness and courage." Many thousands have come out, armed with whatever they can, to fight to the very last man, woman and child. Total Casualities: Argentine Soliders: 1,500,000 Argentine Civilians: 690,000 800 Airplanes, 1 Aircraft Carrier, 9 Destroyers, 1 Submarine. United States of Africa/Coaltion: Build up to War: Argentine Submarines harressed the African fleet, sinking three destroyers, but failing to make any real progress against the transports or aircraft carriers. Counter packs of submarines were sent out, and engaged the submarines, sinking one of them before they broke off. Once the African fleet had arrived in the Falklands the Submarines departed for the Argentine Harbours and docks, sinking one aircraft carrier and two destroyers before any responce could be mounted. As the destroyers and ground fighters took off the Submarines continued their assault, taking down another seven destroyers before fleeing, losing three submarines. In Argentina proper, South Afican Agents, who had been there for the best part of a decade, turned on the Argentinan Government, using a varity of ingenious tactics to decapitate the Argentine Command Structure, allowing for a brief window of Air Superiority, which the British and French used to their full advantage, landing a half a million men on the beeches and engaging a similarly sized Argentine Army. Initially the British pressed the Air Advantage, forcing the Argentine Army backwards, with the African Airforce targetting the airfields, military bases and drydocks, however this quickly narrowed to airfields when it became undeniably obvious that they were outnumbered in terms of air power. But as the forth day drew on the Argentine Biros began running mass attacks, overwhelming the 400 planes of the entire coalition, ensuring that the rest of the campaign featured only Argentine Aircraft. Only occasional African Cruise Missile attacks were able to cause any damage following this. As the campaign rumbled on it became increasingly apparent that the Coalitions battle plan was out of date and, for all intents and purposes, useless. The push towards the Captial was abandonded in favour of survival against the harrowing air attacks, and not getting swallowed up by the massive army, as happened with many of the early tank pushes: In which a wedge of tanks would drive through the Infantry lines, while Infantry coming up behind them would keep the gap open, and attack the exposed flanks. Instead the wedge of tanks drove into the mire of infantry, eventually destroyed by attrition and handgrenades, while the army behind them soon was cut off in an exposed line which was, itself, open at the flanks. The Slaves, originally a source of major Argentine strife, became a major millstone around the Coalition's neck, requiring feeding and medical supplies, as well as transport away from the combat area. The eventual area captured is about the size of neighbouring Uruaguay. Possibly the only peice of good news is the near exaustion of Argentine Oil Supplies, though Brazilian merchants have been spotted negotiating with Argentina. Total Casualities: 380,000 coalition Soliders 280 coalition tanks 2 Destroyers 240 fighters 80,000 South African Infantry 380 South African tanks 3 submarines 8 eurofighters 10 stratofortresses 9 eurotiger attack helicopters 5 air to air tankers Finally, Paraguay has risen up while Argentina was busy fighting elsewhere and declared independence, capturing the limited garrison.
  13. Can I just say that its not all that important...you know...Its not like the backroom is going to die because people posted about Hegemony, and it is not exactly interrupting anyone...now is it? And Mather has said he is rich on numerous occasions and Rocco has a small to mid sized armoury, so its not that suprising....
  14. Same map, sending troops into an area doesn't make it any more yours, than spitting on a pie makes it yours.
  15. Spain: Spain has grown significantly in World standing(+5 World Presence) for being the first country to take action against Argentina, which was not directly involved in their activities. Britian and France have come out in support of Spain, along with Canada, India and Russia, all of which have condemned the return of Slavery as Evil and Barbarous.(+2 Moral Standing). A joint task force has been proposed to deal with the Argentinan Problem, to be based in Portugal until such time as they are ready to launch. Although the Anglo-French Navy is already patrolling the coast of Argentina from the British bases on the Falkland Islands. There has been strong pressure on Germany and Italy to join the coalition, while America is being snubbed for its recent act of barbarism. South Africa/United States of Africa: South Africa called a Congress of Africa earlier this year, seeking an resolution to the Argentinian Problem. This grew into a movement for the establishment of the United States of Africa, modelled vaguely on the Original American system of strong State Control, and a weak Federal Government. South Africa has been named as President for the next (till the end of the reset) two years. However, the new United States is highly unstable, with a very high risk of collapse. It will be South Africa's job to steer through the heady storms and reach a compromise everyone can agree upon. Indonesia: Indonesia has, again, armed itself ready for war. Argentina: Australia has continued Bombing Argentinan Oil Fields in the Antarctic. Argentina aircraft fought off many of the bombers, leaving only a handful to get through. Argentina also amassed a major assault force to attack Australia, however the British-French Navy intercepted, and after a minor skirmish, the Argentinians withdrew. Switzerland: Switzerland has set about reassuring the world that they made an honest mistake, and did not mean to mislead anyone in the Argentinian Deception. While many are not interested in their excuses, their payments to Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone have helped ease some tensions. There has also been some talk of them joining the Coaltion, though nothing has come of that yet. America: America has launched a massive strike force North into Canada. The Canadians were taken completely by suprise, as indeed was the rest of the world. The attack drove into major cities, capturing them without much fighting, however this left the supply lines open to attack and sappers, which has crippled their ability to make war. The Canadian Government has fled to Germany, where it is continuing the war, and trying to rouse a responce from the rest of the world. They had initially tried Brazil, but they had been unwilling to accept them. In Canada proper the Police and army have engaged the Americans, and heavy casualties have been taken on both sides, as Citizens in Canada fight the American Army. Casualities: America: 75,000, 40 Fighters, 3 Bombers, 200 Tanks Canada: 54,000 Soliders, 35,000 Civilians, 56 Fighters, 120 Tanks.
  16. That tends to be how the world works...Look a Libya bombing Britian in the 70/80s...somewhen. Or Ireland bombing Britian. Or the Republic of China continuing to exist, despite the People's Republic of China's best wishes.
  17. Ground-based National Lasers system. About 400 Billion, can hit about 200 missiles at any given time, needs a decently powerful power grid, 55% chance.
  18. Depends what sort of defence you are gonna go with. Regional, National, Boost Phase, Mid Phase, Terminal Phase, Exoatmospheric, Endoatomspheric, Strategic, Tactical, Theater. Lasers, Missiles, Brilliant Pebbles Generally, the wider the net you try to throw, the less efficent the net is. You can only ever intercept an equal number of missiles to your effective defence...You cannot take down twenty missiles with five. And, of course, whether you want to to launch an overwhelming defence (Say fifty missiles per missle) or just a 1:1 sort of thing. Since, at present, missiles have a 60% chance of hitting, two missiles should be able to intercept 1 missile. However: 8,10,1,8,8,4,10,3,9,1,3,2,2,1,1,8,6,3,1,6,6,10,4,1,3,3,8,9,7,4,6,2,6,3,6,5,1,8,8,10,3,2,8,8,7,3,6,6,4,10, So 6 out of 25 Missile got through on this test. On a 3:1 thing would let through 2 out of 12. ect.
  19. So glad I was retired...this is exactly the sort of situation I would have cleared up two hours ago.
  20. ICBMs also have an average speed of 3 Kilometers per Second, with the fastest at 7 KM/s Compared to Missiles, which rarely go above mach 4, or 1.2 Kilometers per Second.
  21. Inonesia just has a million Sarcasm and Irony missiles.
  22. So not Boeing... Probably around 5 Million.
  23. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_Laser_Avenger That one?
