  1. *raises eyebrow* If I was working for the CIA in Russia and I came across a 14 year old who said he was on the football team... I don't think I would be scared :? My point is, be a little more careful dude. There are plenty adults that act 'strange' in the US that would take advantage of your size. Just look at the news. ;) One other thing, I can't help but almost side with the private eye. He's just doing his job, and it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a perfectly legal one to. Also can you blame the insurance company for checking up on you? After all, you have nothing to hide am I right?. I wish my insurance company is that stingy. A few years ago a man slipped and fell on my neighbor's sidewalk. He knew my neighbor was a rich man and sued for several thousand dollars and won. Luckily my neighbor's insurance covered it, but its things like that that cause everyone's insurance rates to go up every year.
  2. On a related note why does anime often feature women with cat ears, tails, and sometimes paws? Some sort of sexual inuedo or something? :?
  3. Ah yes, my favororite site. ""inappropiate.site.com" Lets hear it for tip.it's awesome filter! /sarcasm
  4. Spirited Away was a beautiful movie. It's plot is one of the elite few that stick with you for days. You know, after seeing that movie you catch yourself wishing you could switch bodies with the main character, and that thought is on your midn for literally days . I remember 3 days after watching it I had a dream involving it; I woke up and just lied there enjoying every fleeting moment of it

RuneScape is a massive 3d playa adventure, wit monsta ta kill, quests ta complete, n treasure ta win if you gots a paper stack. You control yo own characta who wizzill... xD Classic!
  6. -Almost anything by Motzart or Bach. -Pachabel's Canon in D -Most Billy Joel songs, specifically "For the Longest Time" -One Night In Bangkok" by Murray Head For some reason that is what jumps to mind when I think "immortal song". Ever since I visited Bangkok 2 years ago I have put that song first on all of my playlists and use it to test new speakers/headphones/MP3 players. It just never gets old :?.
  7. Well said Pete and bs_johannes. I als admire the fact that this forum can take a subject as touchy as this and debate it politely without flames and pointless arguments. -trapical
  8. Mayby everyone is equal. And I see you way of thinking. However here we must agree to disagree, personally I think that gropus act different. As a average, African Americans have larger noses then whites. This is a measured fact, and it has something to do with larger noses helping their ancestors breath easier when they lived in Africa. So even after just looking at noses, we can say that blacks are different then whites. I'm not saying the brains are different, and I cannot say that certain races are born dumber then other races. Thats not true. However I can say this: - Asians who lived in my old school were prejudiced against, people called them names. Also their family was poor, they had two parents working minimum wage jobs to feed their family of 6. The asian in my grade was ranked 2nd in our class and wanted to become a electrical engineer. - Acording to your theory, he should be dumb since teachers are bias, and he should end up in poverty because his family was dirt poor. - It is true, he could be the exception the the rule, and in fact he probably is. However, everyone's opinions are a product of their experiances.. Perhaps that is the reason why in my school people who never left their home town are extreme anti-racists, while others who have been to Mexico City, or Egypt, or Thailand tend to be slightly more "racist".
  9. Siting on the rocky shore of a lake 2 feet from the water and knowing that there isn't another human being for miles in any direction. You just sit there are stare off at the light waves and the sound of nature...
  10. I don't call myself a racist, but a realist. A racist is someone who puts a noose in the locker of a visiting black student. A realist is someone who just goes by the facts. It's not necessarily true, but those figures could all stem from racism: racist juries would likely vote against their target race; racist teachers might give children of other races a hard time, stopping them from getting as good an education; black people might find it difficult to get a job in a racist area, regardless of their qualifications. As I say, I'm not saying that's the case, but statistics aren't really useful in this sort of debate, as they can be interpreted it too many different ways. I see you're point on how juries can be biased towards blacks, but how does that explain the Asians? Asians have higher test scores and a large percentage of them go to Ivy League schools. They're not white, so how come they are not affected by "teacher bias towards other races"? Again as stated above, Asians have higher test scores, so does this mean white teachers favor Asians over whites? No, it simply means Asians as a people do better on tests and have a higher value on education. Ergo, it is highly possible that blacks generally place less value on education and act as a whole more aggresively. This leads to more crimes commited in black neighborhoods and more arrests. What doesn't make sence about that? Well besides the fact that I'm not politically correct. [sarcasm]How dare I say something like that, someone might call me racist. [/sarcasm]
  11. It is a reaserch paper  I had intext citations but I removed them from my post, the lack of them may have made you think it was persuasive, my apologies.
  12. Exactly Bubsa, personally I was fuming that someone had the nerve to put a noose in the locker of a visiting black student. I can't imagine what that would feel like to be that kid.
  13. Gah, you hit a raw nerve. Thoughout HighSchool I have crossed paths with seemingly endless completly-against-any-remote-types-of-racism people. They have lived in my small Wisconsin town of 2300 (which, I kid you not is 100% white) and they all get together and yell at anyone who says something remotly racist like "I wish I was black, I would be better at basketball, lol". From my personal experiances and travels to various contries around the world, I have learned that generally: -Asians are smarter, -Blacks are more aggresive, -Russians are solemn, and -Mexicans work harder but don't care as much about apperance If I was to say any of those at school I would literally be attacked by a mob of white women chanting "How can you say that?!?! I don't see how anyone can think a group of people is different from another group of people" Personally, I let the facts speak for themselves I don't call myself a racist, but a realist. A racist is someone who puts a noose in the locker of a visiting black student. A realist is someone who just goes by the facts.
  14. LOL, I literally just finished a paper on this subject for my psycology class. In fact, its still warm from my printer. I printed it, then decided I desearved a break so I checked these boards  Anyway; here it is, I don't expect anyone to read the entire thing, but if you want answers, here they are: Animals, consciousness, do they go together? For millennia humans have wondered if animals could think for themselves, or if they simply did whatever they needed to in order to survive. Even today, with all of mankind̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s technological advances, we do not know the answer to that question for sure. The subject itself is the object of many important debates and countless arguments have been written to support either side. Personally, I have always wondered if my dog could think. I recall coming home from town to find my dog hiding in the corner with his ears flattened down. I look in the living room to find out he left me a ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Ålittle present̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  15. I like yes/no questions, its a one card draw. A suit that is metal (coins, swords) means "Yes". A suit that isn't a metal (clubs, cups) means "no". Let's take a peek at your card... *shuffles deck, asks the deck the question...* 7 of clubs. Aw, I'm sorry Smavey, the Tarot doubts it. Prove it wrong :) - - - - - I knew beforehand i wasen't going to City's before going posting here. It was actually chosen about 2 weeks ago, and, even though our play definatly deserved to go, we only got 3rd (there were 10 plays at our school and only 2 get to go to the City Finals). I did this to see if your tarot cards were true, and when i first read them they were. But yesterday I got amazing news. They had a revote and now the play im in is going to city's! Like it had already been a week me knowing that our play lost, but man it was lucky. So i guess i did prove you wrong :P Tarot cards are still cool 8) , unless you use them as an excuse to break up with someone :P *gasps in horror* You doubted the power of the Tarot? How dare you trick it to test its accuracy :o. *tsk tsk* ;)
  16. Gummy bears, Swedish fish, or any mint ever invented by mankind
  17. Well the one word reply is "good" a high numbered coin shows that the outlook is good for sutch an event (forgive me for the short responce, I am quite tired. lol)
  18. Thats a different sorta question. Well, here goes: My predictions say Yes. An opertunity to date a girl will arise, and you will have a chance to go on a data if you so choose. The first card is a 9 of coins, showing that the girl will have things that you want. Following that is the 8 of clubs, this female will disagree with you on many issues, but the final card is the 9 of cups: if you continue to date this girl she will bring you much happiness. Also the cards' numbers were 9-8-9. Those are high numbers, perhaps that means the girl will be a 8 or 9 on the "10" scale? However I stress that this is the first date-specific reading I have done so it may be slightly off.
  19. Short answer - yes Go in depth: The cards show that right now or in the near future something unfortunate will befall your relationship, rest assured though, it will be very minor and it will be resolved easily. A while later you will again enter conflict with your partner, and this will also be resolved. In the end the 10 of coins tells me that you will gain much from the bond you share with your loved one, and there is no immediate end in sight. - - - - - Hmmm, interesting... The first card I received was the Joker. This symbolizes death or an end to something... However it was upside down, so don't worry about it  The cards show that unfortunately the season will start off slow, you will not get many fish for the first quarter of the season, this in turn will make you somewhat unhappy. However, after a while you will begin to catch fish more and more often and in the end you be catching ~3x as many fish as you were when the season started. - - - - - Well old friend, that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a good question. Here goes... First card is the upside down jack of clubs; a new, unexpected conflict will arise in the near future. The next card is the upside down queen of clubs, this regrettably hints that the problem will be a large one, but the fact that it is upside down hints that in reality the problem won't be terribly serious. The next card is the 3 of clubs, which says that once again there is conflict in your life, but this time it is really minuscule, almost not worth noting. The next card is the 8 of swords, that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not good. Something unfortunate, like sickness, will plague you in about 3 years. Following that card is the joker, but it does not represent death for it is followed by the jack of cups (happiness). The joker symbolizes the end of an era for you. In about 4 years a part of your life will end and what follows will be a time that has much happiness and possibly romance. Interesting enough, in 6 cards not one was a coin. This may simply mean your wealth is hard to measure, I think it means money will not be a big issue in your life in the future. Then again, that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s just my opinion  -trapical (1 hour left...)
  20. Short answer ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ It will be pretty fun. Full answer: First card is the 9 of cups, this shows that the celebration/party will start out will lots of fun and laughter, that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s good news :). Next card is the queen of clubs, meaning in the middle of the whole thing a problem will arise, I can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t say what exactly but something that wasn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t supposed to happen will probably happen. Next card is the jack of swords, this is almost a replicate of the prior card, it means an unexpected bad thing will arise. It may mean more then 1 unfortunate thing will happen, or maybe the two cards are referring to the same event. The final card is the 3 of cups. The graduation will end in happiness, but a lower happiness then normal; perhaps this signifies that people will be somewhat sad that they won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t see all their friends again. This reading was a quick one. I normally pick cards until I have at least 3 suits, however I got 3 suits after the first 3 cards. Feeling that 3 cards only give me part of the story, I took one more card. The other funny thing I noticed was that all the cards are right side up. This is very odd, since they should be half up and half upside down. I'm not sure what exactly it means, but I think it's a good thing ;) - - - - - I like yes/no questions, its a one card draw. Prove it wrong :) - - - - - Hmm, tough question. I have never done a reading that asked how good/bad something as specific as a grade will be̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ I choose a one card draw, the higher the number, the better your grade. *does ritual̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ picks a card* 7 of coins. 7 is a high number, meaning your grade won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be perfect but it should be slightly above the average/what you think it will be/what it is now. That̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the best I can do.
  21. I will make these predictions shorter since this takes much time :? Short answer Peter: Good Long Answer. First card is upside down jack of cups, this says that a new unexpected force of love or happiness will enter your life soon. Next card is upside down 9 of cups, it shows that this happiness will continue but since the card is upside down this may not go as you plan. Next card is 9 of clubs, your happiness will be followed by an equal amount of conflict. Next card is 4 of clubs, more conflict. Final card is ace of coins. You will not achieve much wealth in the next few monthes.
  22. Hmm, *deals cards* *rubs forehead* Wow, well the short answear is "Not good" :? The long reply is as follows. First card is unside down queen of swords, the queen represents a bad form or whatever the suit is; however since the suit is already a bad one AND the card is upside down they cancel each other out. Meaning something bad will happen at the beginning but in the end it won't be anything major. Second card is 4 of swords, meaning a petty unfortunate thing will happen. Third card is a 6 of swords (you sure got a lot of swords in the reading...) so once again you will have a mess up, this one a little greater, but not to horrible. 4th card is 4 of coins, so thats good. 5th card is ace of coins, an Ace means the minimum of whatever the suit is; so you will not get anything worth anything money during the golf game, thats obvious. Final 2 cards is a jack of coins and a king of clubs. The jack means in the end you will suddenly realzie that in fact you DID get something of value out of the game; the king of clubs signifies conflict in the end of the compition, it may be personal conflict and it may be physical. Whew, that was harder then I thought. lol.
  23. Some teachers will ask you to write your answear down on paper and hand it to her is she asks you a question
  24. Well, I'm done reading cards for a while. At time of this post I will no longer respond to any requests/questions posted here. I thought about keeping this on going but it takes an enormous amount of time and I ahve school work. Well, I hope you all enjoyed your predictions and be sure to let me know if they come true  Original message: Hey everyone, its Tarot time (pronounced Ta-roh). For those of you that don't know Tarot cards are the cards gypsies use to predict your future. A deck of Tarot cards is different in the way that it it only has 12 cards in a suit. 1-9, jack/10, queen/11, king/12. There are 2 jokers and 4 suits: Cups (equal to hearts, means happyness and love), Coins (equal to diamonds; means wealth, both monetary and interpersonal), Clubs (equal to clubs (duh), represents conflict or trouble), and Swords (equal to spades, means aggresion and overall bad things) Note that those are my interpretations of the suits and the interpretation my deck knows. To some people the suits mean different things, and good for them but my deck works like mentioned above. So with all that aside let's start the readings shall we? Just post here with 3 things: - A specific question you have to ask the Tarot. Examples are "next week is prom, how will it go?", or "What does my future job outlook look like?". If you don't have a question simply state that and I will do a broad reading for your future in general. Also, yes or no questions can be asked. - The time frame your question is referring to. Do you want the reading to be about your future 2 weeks from now, or your future life in 10 years? - Your first name (optional) It was fun, -Trapical
  25. Heh, I admit that my bookmark named "tip.it" actually goes to that URL, then I browse the boards from there :| I noticed the URL a while ago, quite funny I admit.
