  1. It's a glitch, but a safe one. A completly unintentional little string of code that they put in accedentally, sorta like MISSINGNO, but without the 'mess up your game' side-effects.
  2. I find it the most amusing trying to find places. For example, try to find Mt Rushmore. Hmm, let's see go to google type in Mt Rushmore map and go to images. Notice any nearby rivers or mountains? Open up google earth and try to match the map to your viewfinder :P
  3. I'm 18 and I still play. *shrug* On blue I honestly got all 150 without gameshark  Had to use a gamesharks, its imposible to get in red and blue, or for that matter any of the games, without anything else. I think otherwise... On blue and red You can get Mew without cheating. This isn't a joke, I did it. -> http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/rbcatchmew.html See for yourself
  4. Google bought Keyhole  Google Maps is just like Terraserver. Yes it has satalite pics but it's immensly cumbersome compared to google earth. You feel like god spinning the globe and zooming in smoothly. Also it's cool, if you type coordinants in your search box (i.e. 34 4 50 N, 139 31 25 E ) your view will slowly, smoothly zoom out and pan towards that location, and in 15 seconds or so it will start zooming in and tilt your map and you will be at those coordinants. Oh and someone should type those in... you won't be dissapointed :)
  5. Hey, I don't know if this is a repost, but does anyone here use Google Earth? I stumbled accross a 12 page thread on it on Ebaum's World forums. Anyway, it's simular to other programs like NASA's WorldWind and terraserver.com. Like NASA's, it is a seperate, free program that you download and install. Unlike NASA's 460 MB installer, this program is a measly 10 Megabites  Also, unlike NASA's lame bluish unfocused pictures, Google Earth as color photo's of amazing resolution. Examples follow: -The Pentagon -Hoover Dam -EiffelTower -The St Louis Arch I think you get the idea  Anyway, if you want to download it, http://earth.google.com/ Post any cool spots if you have 'em.
  6. Good pojt BMW. I would have to say there are only 2 options: -Snape is evil -Snape isnt evil, but he will no longer work for the Order (they want to kill him). Meaning he will have to work on his own mayby trying to kill Voldy by himself Question: If Snape is good why did he knock out Flitwick? I mean, as a Charms teacher he is probably really good at dueling and could have really helped out...
  7. Speaking of 'most powerful wizard of this age' I wonder just how powerful Merlin would be compared to Voldemort/Dumbledore :? They never even really mention him directly, they just swear by him and have "Order of Merlin, 1st Class"
  8. Does Hopkins even offer a full ride? :? I know no school in WI does. I would think a school as prestigious and hard to get into as Hopkins wouldn't need to offer any full ride scholarships. In any case, good luck doing Pre-Med. I'm doing the same thing (Chemistry emphasis) and my brother is a senior who also went the same route... Let me tell ya, it's going to suck, you have no idea just how much studying we're going to have to do :?.
  9. Yea, personally I don't really think it makes sence but their arguements are along the lines of "thats what his scar really shows" and "thats why he ordered no one to kill him" :?
  10. Oh that reminds me. Some people are speculating that Harry is Gyrfindor's last decendant and that he is in fact the last Horcrux. Just something to think about.
  11. Me thinks no one will have ever heard of anyone else's university. :? In any case, I'm going to St. Norbert's in De Pere... *waits to see if anyone has the slightest clue as to where that is, or if anyone ever cares* *crickets can be heard*
  12. Well he obivously didn't go in the Hugglepuff common room but he said he ran past a hallways with painting and suddenly there were 2 or 3 kids in pajamas looking like they just woke up. Obviously they were close to there dorm, meaning they were probably within shouting distance. And yes it's obvious that Hermione is going to end up with Ron but why's that? How come Harry never really went for her? She only went for Ron because he's there and single whilst Harry is clearly showing no intrest. And it's not like Harry wants to stay single either from the looks of it. I know if I was in his position I wouldn't have waited more then a year  Which brings me to my next point. People say that everyone will, at some point in there life, read a book/watch a movie that the find interesting. Not just interesting, but the like the story line and the plot so much that if they were given the choice: "Keep on living life like normal" or "Leave this life, never see your current friends/family again and live in the world you just read/watched" they would instantly pick the latter. It's a rare feeling that most people really onle feel once. Previously common stories were "Star Wars", "King Arthur", "Spirited Away", or "Lord of the Rings". Question: How many of you would choose the latter of the two choices if right now they were offered to you. My guess is 90+%.... A poll would be nice, but simply posting would do. Personally, I would have to choose the latter.
  13. Just finished it. Pretty good book I must say. My thoughts: - Why doesn't Harry date Hermoine? In the movies she's a lot hotter then Ginny :/ - Harry dumping Ginny = Total rip off from Spider Man "My enimies can't know I love you" - How can Snape be the half blood prince when he was in James's grade and Lupin said the date on the book showed it was much older then James? :? - Harry wasn't the brightest, when he's chasing Snape/Malfoy he runs into the HugglePuff dormatory and see's several wizards equally as capable as himself/Ginny/Ron. They ask him whats going on and he runs past them. HELLO!! How hard would it be to say "Hey guys, anyone who has a wand follow me; someone who doesnt have a wand handy run into the common room and get some 7th years tell them to get there buts outside! NOW!. " Alone, Harry runs after 4 Wizards strong enouph to take on people as powerful and experianced as McGonagall and Lupin. Instead he could ahve had 20 or so other people of his age and skill with him. Sure they might be 10 seconds slower then if just Harry ran but if you had 20 kids shooting hexes at 4 people... you're bound to hit them. Instead Harry goes alone and gets the crap beat out of him, lol.
  14. Good post philosophically speaking. Scientificly however, you're wrong on a few minor things. True the laws of the universe state energy loses order over time, but the energy does not dissapear. Energy can not be created or destroyed, only converted. Chemical energy becomes kinetic, which can become electric, which may turn into heat. Over time, theoretically speaking, we are left with only heat energy; and most systems can not put that energy to use. Also, you completly misused E=MC^2. Thats a equation used in nuclear chemistry to find out how much energy is given off by the fission of atoms. The protons and neutrons themselves are not destroyed, and they cannot be. Even if you removed all the energy in the unverse the matter would still be there. You cannot destroy matter. Period.
  15. Oh boy, I have 160 megs of RSC pics. :? One of the original Pyro Parties: Another one: The Prayer House War of November, 2002. (Between BDK and just about everyone else. BDK won) First red party hat purchase, note the price: Here's something different: Props to Image Shack for the hosting.
  16. is it possible to distill wine more than once? i you can then it is possible. Wine is 12%. If you distilled it twice you would have 24%, but after one more distillation you could have ~50% so then it would be flammable I guess. I was referring to normal drinking wine I guess; if you really tried you could get wine to be flammable.
  17. Wow, way to be not even remotly accurate. Over 10k people play RSC. the scyth boards alone have over 5.5k registered members. All of them auto on RSC, not to mention all the people that use their stuff but arne't registered. Then of course there are the other macro's communities and we can't forget the people that play honestly!
  18. One problem: No wine is flammable. Its chemically impossible :? Vodka, rum, brandy: Yes. Wine: No
  19. TERRIBLE idea, this would mean most servers couldnt get one, it would further divide the gap from rich and poor. And the biggest problem is that an auction like this would mean every major clan would sell everything they had to try and beat the other clans. All of this money dropping straight out of the economy wouldsend the world into a freefall. it would be remebered as one of the worst times of runescape and, Jagex would probably make the next holiday item 1m, just to pull out of the depression. Well you make the same houses appear on each server, so that solves that problem... as for the economy? Hmmm... *looks over your paragraph* Yup, it would suck. Oh well, I would have a house :)
  20. Here's an idea. Have 100 houses in RS. Auction them at live organized auctions held by Jagex. You need gp on hand, starting big for a crappy house is 10 mil, the castles start at 750 mil and the Head Fortress starts at 5 Bil. Entire clans of 100s would have to pool there money together. The head fortress could be twice as big as white knights, with a personalized sign, party tower, guest days, un droppable keys, and servents :D If they had that I would leave retirement, sell whats left of my phat collection, get in a clan and donate every penny I had 8)
  21. Hmmm, combine that with 1 full time jagex mod (just for a week or two, but don't actually ban anyone until the end) or several player mods... RSC would be clean in one week :D half deserted but honest :?
  22. hmm, I like it but JAGeX is greedy and I doubt they would pass on powers. They have player mods on RS2, why not RSC? :?
  23. Option 4: PLAYER MODS Find 10 honest people that play RSC and give them banning powers. Auto-ers would be royally... well you know
  24. If there's one thing I learned after playing RS (off and on) since May '01, its the fact that most people are, have always been, and will always be; Rude. It's a fact of life/RS
  25. You have 4 or 5 main characters that are in the story line and every hour or so a new character offers to join your party, you look at his race, profession, stats, etc and decide if you could use a guy/girl like him. At the start of every battle you choose 6 people from your party to fight with. Its a different sort of fight then most FF games. More stretegy based. Anyway, you party ususally grows to about 12-15 people (max is like 35 but the more people you have the harder it is to keep everyone leveling up since each person gets less battle time). Normally if a character dies in battle nothing special happens. You can pheonix down or Life him back to life, or just wait for the battle to end (after each battle everyone gets full hp, mp, and comes back to life). There are 30ish areas that you can fight in, and in two of those areas people can 'die'. In the areas "Jagads" if someone is dead when the round ends you loose them. However realize that most of the time you fight there (and you rarly ever go there) your characters won't even get close to 0 hp and even if they do, all you have to do is make sure to use 'life' or a pheonix down of them before you kill the last guy
