Need a way to get a ton of snape grass and interested in crafting astral? Previously you could pick up snape on Waterbirth, hop the two boat rides and bank in Miscellania. Fairy rings made Miscellania a bit more accessible, but try this instead... Go to MoonClan Isle, pray on Lunar Spells. Make your trip and craft your astral, but bring an earth/lava staff and a water staff. (Mud staff would save a spot in inv). Bring laws, and astral (if you don't craft them.) Tele to waterbirth, pick up snape grass - takes 2-3 mins per full load. Switch staffs, tele back to MoonClan, bank, repeat. Obviously you can do both separately (crafting astral and picking up snape), but if you do this, you recharge run energy a bit while snape collecting too. Enjoy.

Every time RuneScape is updated a female(usually the same one) writes up a thread about how sexist RuneScape is. It really annoys me in this day and age.. You can't have anything based around a "guy" without making a female counterpart. Ie. Ms Pacman, Batwoman, Batgirl, Spidergirl, Superwoman, Captain Janeway, etc.. I don't see them making a male version to things everytime a female one is created... :shame: Haven't you seen the "Guys Gone Wild" commercials on tv?

He said, as long as you use the bank booth to deposit the fish/items you can bank those, once you're done I assume you go talk to an actual banker and you will be teleported back to Relleka. That's correct. With Seal in inv - you can talk to whomever and not be teled. Without Seal in inv - you can still bank provided you -bank booth- but you can also use this tele to get to relekka faster. I feel I catch sharks faster there, but it's just me maybe.
-
Nope, I walked around for a while with a glory ammy on, I think you have to talk to the NPCs to get teled. I think you get teled when you try to bank though. And you may still have had seal in invent. On the banking point, make sure you BANK BOOTH and not with the banker --- otherwise you get teled -- not too horrible, but worthwhile knowing. (btw, during quest, I always had seal in inv until I finished it) once done, i had no problem banking when seal was destroyed (so long as it was through booth)

2011 - Will there be a Runescape and will you be playing?
Greedom1 replied to Greedom1's topic in General Discussion
In conclusion, I'll be playing infrequently if there is still an RS in 2011. Thanks for all who replied :) -
expect unbaked pies to increase in price maybe up to 3x (if tradeable) overnight (at least on f2p once they get word...). And tonight is -the- night :) Enjoy! (ps. I have zero pies, and I'm sure anyone with half a brain does either... unless they're uber-super-duper ones.) SUPER PS. Anyone with 61 crafting -should- also know how to cook. As such, they also know "pie-alching*" <-- (coining this now) is a total waste of time considering. * also registered: pie-alching pie-teleing pie-smelting pie-sniffing pie-smoking pie-whatnowandwhonow? pie-moonbeam-cooking? that's enough I guess :)

If you plan on fishing and such at the fremmy town and need a bank, here's a tip, have the necessary runes to tele to the lunar isle (lunar mage must be set). At bank and on Lunar Isle/Moon Clan Isle set mage, get necessary inv. and then talk to the banker WITHOUT- a seal of passage. You will be teled to Relekka and then can continue with your training. When full/finished, merely tele to lunar isle using moonclan tele. Repeat as necessary. This makes the Fremmenik lands much more trainable than they have been in the past (as most training is geared around normal tele paths). While it may cost a tad bit more in runes, it is definitely worthwhile for things in relekka that are otherwise inconvenient on your Lunar Mage spell-set. (anvils and a furnace in same spot, fish spots, etc, etc.) It appears they changed the dialogue between the banker and player as it seems they might not always send you away (though mine just did). However the NPCs in town still do, but with the full dialogue. Slows it down a bit, but not terrible.

hehe, I win with over 1k buckets. :P If it's buckets, I have almost 8k of them. If it's sand in buckets, then about 1k as well for me. (maybe 600 seaweed though) -- mostly from random pickups while fishing 3k sharks in catherby. Also the fishing colony where you can get monkfish has them as well -- I rarely get them there --- maybe only 20-30 per 1k monkfish I get out there.

The loyalty that many of you feel for your friends CANNOT be an absolute. Is a MMORPG worth breaking that trust? Probably not, though neither would the soon-to-be-banned friend be justified in never speaking to you again if he found out you reported him. Still, this is an interesting moral dilemma especially since it crosses both RS and RL worlds. Good luck, but no harm in reminding him of the dangers -- point him to several stories on here of those who went to the "dark side" and sold gp. Otherwise, if you do report him, do so if you are confident and truly feel it's the right thing. Alternatively, he may want to think about creating a new account soon...

2011 - Will there be a Runescape and will you be playing?
Greedom1 replied to Greedom1's topic in General Discussion
reckon they'll be updates? :-w Yes, but given that it'll be a little buggy the first week or two, it will likely be about as real-to-life as possible and be a complete trainwreck 50% of the time. -

thanks for more replies, though please direct "energy related" material to individual members of tip it forums as they're kinda spam on this thread. I'm not trying to be whiney (or maybe I am) but please keep posts on topic -- Thanks! I really have enjoyed hearing your responses --- anyone else? -

In the year 2000...+11. With the recent entry of the 5th (6th) maxed player and considering many have been playing this game 5 years running, what will YOU be doing in the realm of computers and online games in 5 years? It's likely that some form of RS will be around still in 5 years, though as frequent posts on this and other forums attest, the "community" certainly has an impact on one's desire to play. Myself, I think I find about one new friend about every 2 months on here that I truly value and would seriously miss if they stopped playing. If most of my friends stopped, I think I would also within probably 12 months. So. My question to you is twofold: 1. Would you still play this game 5 years hence? 2. What would KEEP you playing this game? (surely something Jagex is seriously interested in) If so, what? (shops that sell phats and whips for 1 gp?) Possible answers: (A) Your friends / community of players (B) Elusive treasure / achievements. © Yet-to-be-attained skills. (D) Competition (see above). (E) Boss/GF/Wife/Parents still haven't caught on, so might as well keep playing. (F) In RS you can be anything you can't in real life....(Don't forget though, in RS others are still richer, more powerful, and basically cooler than you'll ever be... so this choice is definitely worth passing over). (G) Picking Cabbage. (H) Need something to do while searching google for "Donkey Show" There we go, multiple choice. feel free to fill in an "other" category. I ask that you seriously consider this, as personally I hope to God I'm not playing this 5 years from now. At least not with such horrible graphics and gameplay in this game. I love this game and enjoy it a lot, but if this game were to be tossed out of my life like an old moth-eaten sweater to a second-hand shop in 5 years, I don't think I'd worry much. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of my skills at the time being (and certainly in the RS world), but seriously that's like being proud of anything that entertains you --- like reading a book or watching a movie. I loved the movie Fight Club (and admire Chuck Palahniuk), but I can't say I get into real life conversations saying how impressed others should be in the fact I've watched it (or for my level...). Thoughts? 7/22/06 After many replies I'd like to add that I am almost 25 years old, finished college, post-grad, and have taught at college for a year, though now I am on to a life at a "real job." Many of the replies have been alluding to aspirations for better things to seemingly take them away from these distractions of their youth (in other words... RS will end when I grow up, go to college, etc.). Now honestly I am no expert. Though, I will say, if you're assuming college, or age, or the "real world" is going to take you away from RS, you should understand that RS in not really the content of your life, but rather the character of it. What I mean is that fine, you love RS, love your phat, full drag, tons of gp, whatever... You cannot forget the fact that your poor/rich/awesome/pathetic RS character will most likely (hopefully) die before you do. Put another way, could you imagine still being the "Shoe" in Monopoly 5 years from now after playing the same game day after day? (It's essentially the same, and all meaningless.) Maybe it's a metaphysical question I suppose, but I've come to the steadfast position that one should find meaning in their life elsewhere other than in a game that they try to define their life by. In my opinion, skill levels, xp and high scores are one of the most insidious parts of this game, in that they destroy an individual's incentive in truly enjoying the "action" or "content" of this game. If you knew RS was about clicking and reclicking over and over would you have ever started? <-- This goes AGAIN to my previous question. You skill (and I do as well) because it makes you relatively proud compared to friends/high scores, or for that it affords a sense of accomplishment. Now, for what has that "accomplishment" truly done? Has it entertained you? Sure. But will it have worth in 5 years? That is my question again. Other ruminations... Everytime I see one of these:  I want to roll my eyes in response. Maybe I'm just bitter I suppose :)

whats the reason for the price difference?......
Greedom1 replied to uwilbsorry's topic in General Discussion
real men don't waste their time on dumb computer games either. Instead they fight Chuck Norris for bragging rights of all their sexual conquests. If you don't understand, then clearly YOU are not a -real- man. Chuck Norris doesn't care if you click on this link because he knows you will. http://www.chucknorrisfacts.com/ -
without teles, I would not play this game. Simple as that. Over one third of my game time would be walking the same dumb paths over and over. -nuff said.

alch it. that's what I accidentally did with my second whip. Then immediately pull yourself up and buy another one. No sense in crying (though I kind of wanted to).

Ratio of female and males on your friendlist?
Greedom1 replied to antonwhy's topic in General Discussion
i'd say among my most trusted friends, 3 females, 2 males. Overall, maybe 70% males, 30% females. -
Do you have any Superstitions/Habits when it comes to RS?
Greedom1 replied to a topic in General Discussion
I do the same -- I always kill at least one monster over my slayer task. I got black mystic boots this way too. :) -
New method of training Herblore (from Fairy Tale II quest)
Greedom1 replied to kwimbob's topic in General Discussion
I've trained down there through a new attack level (i'm 105 cb and had very little trouble). I wore dragon armor, as guthans is a little overkill. Torag's could be decent down there. You're only going to be down there for 25-26 gorak claws anyways, so plan accordingly (no nats, no fires for alching needed as the bank is very close.) I had 10 monkfish and 10 salmon and had too much food. (85 def). Also, please note that the "clouds" on the outer ring are a safe spot from which you can rest, eat some food, take a breath, etc. You cannot attack the goraks from here (even with a hally). They hit fairly high at times (12-13), but since it's not multi-combat you should still be safe. happy goraking :) -
RAHK's QUICK guide for Fairy Tale 2 (ugly but it works)

awesome - thanks very much for this :)

Do you ever think how much time you spent on playing rs?
Greedom1 replied to megakiller32's topic in General Discussion
A lot of the replies here are straw man arguments -- in other words, it's great you're not out there doing evil deeds, but that doesn't mean that this game doesn't come at its own costs.... Do you exercise as much as you used to? I don't, and though many of us are young who play this game, I can guarantee that sitting lethargically at a computer is not healthy -- even if it "teaches" things about economics and other supposed "social" skills. Yes, this game may be not as bad as other alternatives, but that doesn't excuse the fact that many play this game too much.*** ** "Too much" is relative obviously. If you have the time, then by all means, spend it as you wish. But, when playing this game comes at the expense of careers, relationships, or your own health, it's something worth considering. I won't preach (and I fear I may have too much already), though I myself have given this much thought, and again I will reiterate, BALANCE is essential. Also, you might consider that while playing this game is -at times- rather fun, it also means you may incur other opportunity costs insofar as you are missing out on maybe meeting/hanging out with friends, reading that book that might change your life, or perhaps just simply enjoying life outside. God created the outdoors for man to enjoy, and as fun as RS is, it doesn't compare in the slightest. Okay, now I'm getting rather preachy, so whew, that is definitely enough from me. :) Take care all -- happy RSing :P
