You're right on two counts. The mining guild is relatively close to a bank, and you have the right to dislike the mining situation. However, the mining guild is really only worthwhile for coal. And coal is only good for selling without any ores.

I believe people should get members only when they feel like they are ready. As well, any time after they decide they like the game. But that isn't to say they SHOULD get members if they don't want to.

I used to do this all the time, until I started using controlled to train them all. Now I only do it once a month or less. I, too, blame only myself, but it is very annoying when you have such even experience in the three skills.

Let them moan. After a few weeks, maybe a month, they would get over it. And I believe it would be a minority of P2Pers moaning anyway. As for opening up another skill, I agree it would be fletching. We can make our melee and magic supplies, why not our range?

They are meant to be status symbols, to a degree. Otherwise they would have been available for more than one event.

That point could also depend on their definition of looking good. Some people think the skirt looks better even when it is cheaper.

I agree, for obvious reasons, that F2P needs snare. I also think some new robes would help. Some with better defence and magic bonuses that do not require such maintenance. They would help decrease the accuracy of the melee and increase the accuracy of the mage.

Free membership would never happen, nor would I want it to. I am F2P, and if I ever get members, I would rather pay for it.

Think of it this way. You still have something they don't. They get a big 2-handed carrot, while you have a rubber chicken as well as a big 2-handed carrot.

I lagged like crazy for a couple days after Summoning was released. It has since died down to almost nothing, as it had been before.

My thoughts in bold. Comparing Runescape to WOW isn't even logical. WOW is advertised EVERYWHERE, Runescape is advertised for the most part through word of mouth. WOW is sold in stores, Runescape is online. Very few people would play Runescape if they couldn't try it first, whereas with WOW people play because it was hyped up so much.

I must agree. The only part of it that really appeals to me is the pets. But like Moonshadow, I have accepted the fact that F2P will get very little as compared to P2P.

And when they clicked 'use-quickly'? It takes you to the bank, not the G.E. screen.

I know how you feel. It took me a little extra time to find it, as well... Didn't take me any time at all because I actually read the update. So did I. The problem being that I read it too early in the day and my mind wasn't clear when I did.

I will eventually pay for a membership on my original account. But with my potential need to relocate for work purposes, I have to hold off. However, I am infinitely happy for the updates I DO get in F2P.

Besides the scroll bar in the stats page, I have no problem with the new one. The total level could have been better placed, but as long as I can find it.

I do, indeed, agree. It is much easier to keep an eye on all of them while doing something else. I rather liked it that way as well.

I fully agree with you, NJE. The updates we got, unexpected as they were, are GREATLY appreciated on my part. I would have liked Summoning, but I never expected to get it in the first place.

I like the idea, although I don't like that F2P can't increase their amount like members... Basing it on total experience could help that, but I don't much expect that to happen.

We discussed this once before and came up with 40 Magic and, for the robe top, 40 Defence.

The 8 we got is a more than fair compromise. Many of us would have been fine with the finishing of the row, but they also gave us half of the next (which is a little annoying, but greatly appreciated, at least by me).

I never leave. I check it at least 6 times a day and each check takes an hour or more.

The truth is that it used to be convenient. Now with the grand exchange, herblore is all but pointless. This is coming from someone who used to love herblore. The grand exchange with its ultimate availability has ruined herblore. And if you are nowhere near Varrock? The GE has not completely eliminated the convenience of these skills.
