  1. Wow, why wouldnt they just eliminate fractions of xp and only deal in whole numbers, wouldnt that make the max they could do 2 bill xp? Or is it just built into java itself that theres always a .0 on the end of every integer? In that case i see how it could be unavoidable.
  2. Because it keeps me awake at night wondering what will happen.....
  3. Probably picks one randomly, I doubt it gives exp to both skills. I wonder if its possible to get .5 exp away from a level... Yes it is possible to get .5 exp away from a level.
  4. Does anyone know what happens if you do tears of guthix and have your lowest skills at EXACTLY the same amount of xp. I know skills can be 0.5 xp away from each other without players being able to see it but im talking about 2 skills having exactly the same xp for certain and them both being the lowest skill, what affect does tears of guthix have? Does it give xp to both skills? Does it make you choose one? Does it pick one randomly?
  5. I would love to be able to put private chat to "on" I did an experiment of what happens if i leave it set to on, and i get 1 pm on average of every 3 seconds constantly flooding my window, its so ridiculous that I might make a vid for 5 minutes just showing how many pm's i get.
  6. I would take out high alchemy because in my opinion that was jagex's biggest mistake. Too much raw cash flowing into the economy on a daily basis and people should be forced to get mage levels without sitting in a bank clicking in 1 spot for days.
  7. Once in rsc someone asked me if i liked their santa hat. I said "no it looks ugly" then he said "oh thats too bad if you liked it I would have given it to you" so then I told him "oh i like it, your hat is awesome" Then he gave it to me for free.....
  8. First of all I have to say that at level 81 agility I would not consider you an agility freak. I have 80 agility myself, it is my worst skill and I by no means consider myself an agility freak, in fact I hate the skill. No offense intended to you or your agility level in any way. I will disagree with you though. You compare agility to combat but agility is in no way like combat. You can level melee skills with different weapons on different monsters and after each kill check out the drop you get which is in rare cases halfway decent. You also only have to click once on each monster and can then just relax while you kill it and even easier if monsters auto attack you. With guthans its even easier. Yes agility is nice in the sense that its a passive skill and is always working for you, but in my opinion we should be getting agility xp for every square that we run over, not walk, just the ones we run over. Skills should be getting xp from using them and running is using agility. People use the same agility course because of the rate of xp. Once its learned that one course is the fastest people use it, not because they like it but because once the faster they finish agility the faster they can move onto something else. Now to answer the question of whether or not higher level agility courses should be put in. NO NO NO NO. Jagex, listen up to this. STOP WITH THE AGILITY COURSES! THEY SUCK! The formula of running around for 10 hours just so your energy can last 5 seconds longer is total garbage. Agility needs to be changed so that there is a way for us to get agility xp at the same time we gather resources. Why not have an area where we can climb large trees and gather ingredients like coconuts or papaya fruit and get agility xp for it. Why not make a place where we can crawl through thorny bushes and pick limpwurt roots and get agility xp for it. They need to MOVE AWAY from the foolish and incredibly boring formula they have now and realize that agility courses are really quite stupid and hardly anyone likes agility for this reason. Well, this sort of turned into a rant at the end but I think I made my point.
  9. I work with Vista every day and work and im glad to say that I still have xp. With Vista half the time you spend your time closing dialogue boxes such as "windows has closed this program" gee thanks windows im glad you helped me figure that one out. It looks sleek and the feature where you can use a fast usb drive as extra RAM sounds cool but Im glad i bought my computer when I did, and didnt wait for vista. XP please.
  10. First of all I want to say thanks to you for making an article about this because we know that it will be read by jagex. Jagex has slowly begun to head in the wrong direction as of late and its a disturbing trend. They are dumbing down the game and ruining the in-game experience for the sake of a certain demographic of players, when they should be improving the game for the other demographic. They say the game is for 13+ yet have a ridiculous amount of things censored and toned down and they flat out refuse to put in any sort of adult servers. So many things are getting frustrating and I'm glad jagex will be forced to read them. I was getting a bit depressed at how jagex seemed to have influence over tip.it when they requested that article removed once. Im glad this new article takes a stand for our rights as players to have fun playing a game, and our right to speak out when we dont like what we are getting for our money. For all those people who are always replying "if you dont like it dont play" bla bla bla you can all shut up. The reason we complain about updates and problems in the game is because we want to play, we see room for improvement and we want our game to get better and not worse.
  11. Are you serious? Yes completely serious. I am about 99.9% certain that I am the longest playing rs player on these forums besides lightning. I am in posession of a list of the first 2k players in which a few of my other friends who started playing at the time are also on. This username was the first account I created for RS but a few days later I created the character which I still use today. However that username for this forum was taken quite long ago im afraid. I was a senior in high school when I first started playing runescape. I have since been through 5 years of university, graduated and have been in the real world since June. I dont know specific dates of the first day I played, usually people dont keep records of those sort of things.
  12. Well I for one agree with the author of this thread and apparently so do many other people. For those of you who havent noticed Jagex has been running a "High level content" thread for a while now and it is the popular opinion on that thread that Jagex overproduces all but useless updates, pointless areas, things that will never be used again, quests that are of no challenge and of no reward, and basically just quantity over quality about 90% of the time. Many of the times they put things out that just seem that nobody thought them through at all.
  13. I fortunately had the opportunity to ask one of my long wondered questions the other day when I was with zezima in what will remain an undisclosed location. This is how it went. Me: Do you have carpal tunnel? Zezima: lol nah How this is possible will forever remain a mystery to me.
  14. I was the 50th person to create an account for RS.
  15. I think it would help a lot more if jagex just put up a message saying "youre not going to become a mod by reporting 20 people a day. Get over it." Probably save them a lot of time reading through reports too.
  16. Maybe if you get 99 att 99 str and 99 def then nobody will call you an anything noob.
  17. I'd like to inform you that your line made me laugh so hard I almost choked. That is definitely sigworthy and a great point at that. As far as the article goes, being ranked lower within the top 425 I feel like I'm allowed to put my 2 cents in when it comes to skilling. This article supports self sufficiency and doing all of your own things such as wcing and burning your own logs type of mentality, while that seems to make sense on paper, in fact is a slower way to level and in the long run will take ages longer to reach the ultimate goal of all 99s.
  18. "Even a determination to make it to the front page of the high scores table, isn't necessarily an unhealthy obsession. As long as you don't play RuneScape to the total exclusion of every thing else, you'll probably get over it. " --------------------------- Unfortunately these days, playing runescape to the total exclusion of everything else is pretty much the only way to make it to the front page of the high scores.
  19. I see that people here have killed all the creatures, each one obviously drops a different type of satchel but what are the other things each one drops? Anyone care to make a list?
  20. Good job jard now make me a graph showing the levels in an exponential curve. I'd also like a calc that shows me how much xp it would be to get a certain level like 115 or 150 so we could see how much xp would be involved if jagex removed the level caps. I expect you to get on this right away.
  21. Man you always were obsessed with counting hp.
  22. The bottom line is that for 60 bucks a year, in that 1 year period almost everyone that plays rs buys at least 1 other video game for x box, ps2, ps3, Wii, psp or whatever. What is more worth your 60 bucks a year, a game you beat in a week or a game that always progresses and grows?
  23. Fishing was the first new skill released since ive been playing. Hooray for being able to sit at a spot with a ton of feathers and just click madly. The spots didnt move, there were no random events and you didnt have to bank. Real powerfishing. The only drawback was that annoying "You have been standing here for 5 minutes, please move to a new area!"
  24. Personally I think anyone with a runescape poster or ringtone needs to grow up a bit. But technically speaking you can already download the music as midi files and use a midi file as a ringtone if you wanted to. Why pay for it?
