I just got 88 Summoning, fished some Rocktails and won on my 3rd try. :thumbsup: (3rd try in total. 1st time using this setup) My setup was the following: My strategy: -Use Oo'glog Prayer Pool and Hitpoints Pool to increase both skills above max -Drink a dose of Range Potion and deposit it in bank before going in tent -Go into Nomads room and just click the ground so he leaves you alone -Drink super set -> turn on special bar -> turn on Piety -> fight Nomad -Summon Unicorn and use it once War Tortoise is empty -Freeze attack: Heal to maximum Hitpoints and put on a Phoenix Necklace. Range him with Onyx Bolts(e) using Eagle Eye -Mine attack: Just stay there attacking him and when he starts to charge up, put on a Phoenix Necklace -Clone attack: Have auto retaliate on and dont click anyone. It usually finds the right one for you. (usually) -Berserk attack: Use protect from melee and he will rarely hit you. Be quick though because you be be very low on Prayer by now (low 20s-40s) or if very unlucky you might be out already) It's really only necessary for 1 Prayer Potion because having another one would take up a Rocktail spot of 23 HP. """Note""" I won with 1 Rocktail, 40HP, 0 Summoning special and 0 Prayer left I am also 80 Prayer and 70 Herblore

BIG difference: The Corp Beast after Summer's End is not part of the Quest Tree, and the one you kill in the quest does not require incredible skill heights. If there is something we are all missing that makes this quest manageable, fine. Great, grand, gravy. I don't think there is such a thing. I think Jagex just wanted to cater to those who crave combat, and disregarded the casual players (like myself) that do not engage in high stakes, at the expense of the Quest Cape they long ago earned the right to wear. Tell you what - When I get on this weekend, this quest will be my only goal. If I do not complete it by the end of the weekend, then you are right - Jagex has destroyed a class of questers who did not spend hours throwing knives at yaks, or flipping yew logs. I really can't judge a quest that I haven't had a chance to look at for myself, but it seems to me us story lovers will just need to think a bit harder and pay some attention during combat for once. Im pretty sure the only way that you'll win is with a certain spirit shield. :-?

I meant excluding Nomad... <_<

Itd be a hard quest if you couldnt protect prayer against everything. :rolleyes:

About 4 days of dailies so far, including MTK and started Jade Vine yesterday. I can't use Ali's rune shop but is this good so far, or is there something I'm missing? :geek:

Just something that I want to get off my chest lately... I can't stand doing anything in RuneScape that relates to Quests or Diaries because it's so much more complicating/stupid than it should be. For one, the "achievements" for diaries are hardly achievements. An "achievement" might as well be to go pick your nose in the middle of Varrock. I mean seriously, these JaGeX people keep adding stuff so amazingly stupid to this game that I can't comprehend it anymore. Change the colour of a cat? Browse through a shop? Yeah, quite the achievement alright. But Quest-wise, there's always way too much reading and repetitive tasks or stupid stuff to do. For the Ardougne diary I started yesterday, I sort of started getting frustrated because I had miss-read the Tip.it guide and I had to go to West Ardougne 3 seperate times for the same level of diary. Then I had to plant a Palm Tree which is somehow an achievement. So I got everything I thought I needed and went to that patch near the Gnome Maze. Oh, a dead apple tree is there, awesome. When was the last time I farmed again? Anyways, I guess this trowel will be able to dig it up. No? Wow... awesome! So I teleport back to Castle Wars. Keep in mind, while this is going on, I had no House Teletabs left because they weren't selling in the Grand Exchange, thus adding to my overall frustration. So I get a spade and run back to the patch. I dig it up, then supercompost the patch. Then I try planting the Palm Seed... you need it to be in a [bleep]ing Plant Pot? Are you [bleep]ing serious? So now I start getting really mad, but head to the Grand Exchange and buy a plant pot. I then head back to the patch once again and use the palm seed on the filled plant pot. I try planting it. Wow awesome I have to wait for it to magically grow into a tiny tree. To add to the frustration, I go and do some Castle Wars games and magically lose 4 in a row because the people there constantly stack the teams so it's 500 level 120s vs 500 level 50s. So I start swearing so words are censored but get reported by at least 1 person. I'm sure I'll be muted, even though censoring isn't supposed to be against the rules. :roll: So that's basically it. Maybe it's partially my fault, but I' pretty sure trees don't need a plant pot to grow. It's all the little stupid things in this game that make it frustrating. I have my girlfriend playing the game now too and she doesn't even know how to play without my help past the tutorial. Sure, she could read all the dialogue and advice from Roddeck. But have you seen how much writing there is?!?! What kind of horrible game is this? No one on earth wants to read all that. That's kind of off topic but when I was helping her I even found myself saying, "wtf?" when I saw how much reading you need to do.

Why does everyone always leave Warrior Ring out of the equation? (Especially Warrior Ring(i)) That's 8 more chances to hit any damage at all. :blink: JaGeX stated before how these kinds of things work but I'm not gonna quote them. Personally, for Slayer anyways, I prefer the chance to do any damage at all. A Berserk Ring basically just increases the highest number you can hit, it doesn't increase the chance you hit. It's wierd, most slayers use Dragonfire Shields as well rathr than a Rune Defender for offense. :blink:

Mainly focusing on the recent Blood Runs Deep quest update... I decided to start doing Fremmenik diary and have quite a bit of tasks done and so I eat supper and cut some logs at MTK for one of the tasks. While browsing the general picture thread, I see that someone bought full Spinel off someone for 60k and sold 3m street price? (Personally selling 3m junk for 3m gold is no profit at all but that's a different story) Anyways, after seeing this, I browse the official forums for Spinel and see prices of around 1m for a set? :lol: I knew the RuneScape community was stupid, but if anyone actually pays this much for a set of garbage to do a diary... LOL. That's pretty stupid... :lol: I loled for like 5 minutes... That is all.

Good, RuneScape has always pissed me off with having to go swomehwere, leave, get an item, return, leave, get an item, return, etc. This is very neccessary.

Ok so 70 million Dragon Bones have been hoarded. But keep in mind how powerful Turmoil and Soul Split are for combat and especially PVP. I'm gonna start pulling slightly random numbers out of a hat here... There are roughly 1,950,000 players with under 80 Prayer. Let's say that 1/3 of these players are members. That's about 650,000 players with under 80 Prayer. Let's say that 2/3 of these players are still active. That's about 430,000 players. Let's say that 1/2 of them want to raise Prayer to 95. That's about 215,000 players who want Turmoil. 80-95 Prayer requires roughly 27,000 Dragon Bones. (Keep in mind that the players have UNDER 80 Prayer) 215,000 x 27,000 = 5,805,000,000 Dragon Bones. 5,805,000,000 - 70,000,000 Dragon Bones saved up by merchanters = 5,735,000,000 Dragon Bones that people need still. Hmm, so I pulled out relatively randoms numbers out of a hat, okay. Well they can only be so wrong, because these Prayers are unbelievably powerful and you need them to be any competition in anything relating to combat. Which is pretty much most of the game. Okay, let's divide 215,000 by 10 and say that's how many people want 95 Prayer. That's 21,500 people who want 95 Prayer. That's an extremely low and unlikely number btw... 21,500 x 27,000 Dragon Bones for 80-95 Prayer = 580,000,000 Dragon Bones. 580,000,000 - 70,000,000 Dragon Bones held by merchanters = 510,000,000 Dragon Bones still needed. So basically, even compensating in other bones that people will have bought, this "crash" is not going to last. These Prayers are powerful and people will want them. Just my 2 cents...

Because he feels the need to complain about it since he already has 99 Slayer, God forbid anyone get it any easier than he did! Well if I ready it correctly, then what that one JMod said, is that this is simply a training update for Slayer. No item or new monster or anything. I don't care as much about someone getting to 99 Slayer faster than the rest have as I care about what the purpose of even releasing a Slayer training update is if there's no reason to train it higher. That Woodcutting rebalance update is a perfect example of this, like troacctid said. Sure, they'll release higher updates for these skills in the future to compensate for even training them higher at ALL. (Just look at skills like Defense! In 8 years it already has a purpose at level 78! :roll: :shock: ) It's only a matter of how many years until that happens. <_<

Slayer already has an update to train it faster. Smoking Kills. Why the hell do they constantly release updates to train skills faster, but release nothing for the levels you'll be getting faster? Where is the logic in this? I swear if they make Slayer even easier to do than it already is, I'm gonna be so mad. Slayer already slipped from being one of the top skills that have the least 99s. Isn't it like 6th or something now? :angry: Sure, a Black Mask for magic or range is perfectly fine, but I'm betting they make something completely unrelated to what Slayer actually needs. It'll probably be something that makes melee Slayer even easier. If you wanna make a skill easier to train, then add something to train FOR? :wall: And well, seeing as no 90+ Slayer monsters are even planned this year, well that's just stupid. Make Slayer easier to train... why, exactly? :rolleyes: How about fixing the Construction Cape... that's something that's actually needed, not making a skill easier to train for no reason. Construction Cape looks like a damn hunchback, and it's been that way for months. <_<

Personally I despise diaries. JaGeX is just so stupid it's astounding to me. How something like, "walk to building X" an achievement at all? Ffs man this game is run by morons I swear... :wall:
