  1. I dont think it affects you around the pyramid or whatever.. I always just went with desert robes & I was fine manta rays & turtles, burn even at 99 cooking, so probably would be slower considering sharks give 210 xp, turtles give 211, and manta rays give 216... I think the only thing that could beat sharks is summer pies, because you only burn a few per inv I believe.. And as a rule.. Cooking on a fire in front of a bank can do 1k on average, maybe little more if your really fast & firemaking, is pretty much the same, and I dont know about any others
  2. If you ever have a chance to try granite mining.. its pretty fast.. just boring as.. I honestly couldn't tell ya, lol I managed to dig up an old picture.. Mid July 04 anyways.. But theres a huge difference, since that was alot of playing on f2p.. and I got members last October- July and got em back December, Until umm yestrday After some hefty prayer training... And My first day back into f2p(today, lol) oh, and 105 cb & 215 qp now too, hahah
  3. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? How the flying [bleep] does it make rangers less powerful? The only thing to make it better than the berserker is the 1 crush point & the fact that it doesn't have any range or magic attack penalties kinda makes it a bit more of an all around helm
  4. I dunno if anyone ever answered this for you yet.. But burn the maples first.. once you start getting that yew xp, it's hard to go back to anything else... WOOOOT 99 Firemaking rules-best skillcape ever for chittiest emote ever!!! Go for the gold!! err orange
  5. Kinda short of a guide, but short & sweet is always nice + I don't know if its much faster than selling to the general store, but fairy rings to zanaris bank for natures is another option
  6. wow post 2 & 3 really remind me of http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=549364
  7. Well, if anyone here has done Enakhra's Lament.. They'd know granite had been mine-able for a while.. but still no use.. not even for statues in your house(kinda odd I'd think, but what do I know.. I'm sure limestone is just as good as sandstone & granite.. I doubt there will be much for granite armor making.. seems to be a bit unpopular for it to have much of a point anyways
  8. Pfft, your all new players.. You didn't even ask about the really old players.. I actually started Runescape pre-wilderness - April or may 2001, didn't play much till the summer because of school, didn't get members till october 2005 Sometimes I fell like a newb just because of all the stuff that comes out.. Whats a Sally btw?
  9. Heh, I'm surprised to see soo many pyros.. But ya, I gotta say firemaking is my obsession, even thou I can leave it on the backburner so often(f2p again, lets see how far I go)It was my first 60+, 70+, 80+90+ & 99 stat(and in the first 20:D), lol.. other then that prayer, i dont know why.. maybe its just beacuse for so long 99 seemed so impossible
  10. To be honest.. I've never really timed myself when i just ran through it But if anyone trys it a couple times.. And wants to give an estimate, I all ears
  11. Ok, I got my pics uploaded.. Let me know what you think!:D
  12. And if anyone can send me to a good upload site, I can post some pics:)
  13. ok, I added a few lines in there.. maybe making it easier to read.. I'll work on adding a map or something with the path later
  14. Ya, gardening boots don't seem to help, use magic secatures.. I get minimum 5, and as mrsscope pointed out.. I think 14 or 15 is the max.. but its not too often you'll get more then 7 or 8 off a patch even with the secatures
  15. are you sure you werent standing on top of an elf?
  16. KingSaiyaman's farming rotation walkthrough(for advanced farmers/questers) This is my first guide, so feedback is appreciated :D **Note, this guide is made for more advanced farmers who at least have an idea about where the patches are, my version requires a total of 0! law runes to get almost every patch, and with few exceptions, would tele'ing be any faster anyways:) Also, you should be able to figure when you should bank by the notation of the closest banks to deposit crops(if nessisary) and retreive your seeds If you have trouble with what seeds you could plant, there is a great guide on the tip & runescape homepages Also, I marked the glider with a G, and the spirit tree teles with a T Start at hops patch north west of seers (closest bank - seers) Walk to the catherby for the allotment there (closest bank - catherby) Theres a fruit tree at the east catherby beach Now your walking distance from the allotment at north east of ardougne (legends or ardy south bank are closest) Go to the brimhaven fruit tree & the calquat tree is south of there by tai bwana(you can also pick pineapple here for supercompost) (closest bank - ardy south) go south to the bush patch, Then west to the fruit tree patch by the gnome maze Talk to elkoy, get to the middle of the maze, Talk the the tree spirit, tele to the gnome village **If you are lucky enough to have a spirit seed and have 80+ farming(garden pie) you could potentially have a spirit tree at micellania, and tele right near the bush patch there, and back to the village (there is also a bank in the village west of the spirit tree or the better bank would be in the gnome castle up next - you can also buy 5 pineapples, oranges and some other fruit in both stores here) ok, once in the village, theres a fruit tree patch, then go north to the glider in the gnome tree castle.. go to al karhid the cactus patch is north east then go to the tree west of lumby castle (closest bank - lumbridge) then back east past the river.. to the hops patch on the way to varrock then to the bush patch by the champs guild theres a tree in varrock (closest bank varrok) back south to the shortcut by draynor manor, then to the belladonna west to the allotment south of fally.. There is a hops patch on Entrana(dont bring any weapons-this includes magic secatuers i believe) (draynor is the closest bank) Then to rimmington bush patch, then to the fally & taverly trees(a fally tele would speed things up quite a bit from here, or ectoing from here, & coming back to the trees later) Ecto then west to the allotment.. then past canafis for the mushroom (canafis - bank, if nessisary, ecto from the allotment, then to phas bank, if you need to bank your crops) Now you've hit every allotment but yanille hops (& micellania bush if you dont have a spirit there).. without using 1 law rune, except maybe rimmington to falador.. Or spending 1 gold on getting to your patches if you wear your ring of charos Sidenotes - The only missing patches should be yanille hops & obviously the spirit patches with micellania being an option not everyone will have Always wear magic secatures when getting veggies, herbs & hops Supercompost - is your best friend, it makes a huge difference.. EVERY crop will have a higher yield and grow faster... even if its for a tree (you should be paying the farmers for that much xp) Dont bother paying for bushes.. they cost waaay to much and rarely die as long as you use supercompost -Ring of charos can save you money from the mines carts & trips to brimhaven(also freeing up a space for more pineapples/other fruits) Also, if you like to brew at all, you can take the dwarf cart from the dwarven mine's at fally and ecto from there.. This is best to start because the brewer here charges you 25 gp for yeast rather than 2 ecto tokens and you dont need a ghostspeak ammy, and you can grab an extra pot of yeast for your brew in Phasmatys -Also, if you like to cut your own trees down, I've found it easier to visit them separately from this rotation
  17. This has been a suggestion since before you or your friend heard of runescape.. I remember this on the OLD tip forums.. Plus I'm pretty sure
  18. hopefully the quest one will only be available to people who;ve done all quests(even if it was at one point or another..) But I want.. FIREMAKING! I can't even remember how long ago I got it anymore, but I can't wait
  19. Being muted doesnt mean you cant forum, which can be alot more useful in buying/selling than in game anyways.. especially if you don't use stuff like ss:P But, hell ya I'd keep playing on him(unless the silence got to be too much:P).. well over 5 years on that char, who knows how many more.. plus sometimes you get lucky anyways and you could get unmuted sometime in the future, who knows.. plus with noone to talk to, I could concentrate a hellova lot more time on training..
  20. Lol, this reminds me of the fire giants-dmed posts a long time ago.. but yeah.. First & only dragon drop.. Give or take 1.2M ranged xp for one.. Haha.. taking a break from maging irons after getting pretty po'd I didn't even get a rune drop after like 2-300 of em in a row
  21. I'll give you all 1 reason it'll NEVER happen, cooking fish/meats & other foods is f2p, splitting the skill would involve giving non-members a new stat (or taking food out of f2p, still not gonna happen)
  22. I think they used to break.. but probably not.. honestly though.. The best way to think it is: It's always been that way, probably will always be that way... Unless your backpack is equipped with an unseen pin cushion?
  23. Well, lol.. it does look like a swordfish on steroids anyways(or maybe the result after a swordfish & shark got reeeaaaallll drunk together).. Or maybe its just like the mayors prized catch or something..
  24. ...? Every type of fish except manta ray, sea turtle, and shark, have a lvl at which you never burn them. With the sharks you can reach the lvl by wearing cooking gauntlets with 94+ cooking though. what about with a chefs delight
  25. if u need defence or attack exp i would keep torags until u get ur desired lvl, then sell it and buy dharoks for str exp. (but remember, dharok hits the most when u have low hitpoints) I don't see why he can't train defence & attack with dharoks, sure it is more fun to be leveling str, since you'll see higher hits.. but dharoks is pretty fast xp, reguardless of what your training.. (Especially with supers
