  1. "best hour days and best xp/h" is just another way of saying best xp/day. I'm not saying just one or the other. Of course the guy that can do 10m xp/h for 24 hours a day would get maxed first. He just doesn't exist. So far the best timeline to compare xp gains we got is from the start of runescape to now. Which isn't enough to determine who is the best consistent gainer over a decade. Balmung Pro is obviously the best player so far (in terms of overall xp). But it doesn't mean anything yet. If you look at it like it was an hour, we're only closing in on like 25 minutes. If you want an accurate number on your consistent xp/h, you can't just try it for 25min and calculate from that. At the 25min marker, besides waiting, there's nothing else to do than calculate though. That's this thread. Off topic:
  2. Ok let's assume someone gets 200m in all skills one day. It's not going to be the one who gets the best xp per hour. It's going to be the one who gets the best xp per decade. Obviously we have no way of knowing who that is. We don't even know who gets best xp per year. But we do have records for xp per month. That's the closest thing we got. And from what I understand, Drumgun gets the best xp per month. Then again he's said it's not his goal to get 200m in all skills. Also, a month is still too short a time to base anything on. Drumgun holds the record for a month, but he says he will never get maxed xp. By the same logic, it really doesn't matter who holds the record for xp per hour. For something as huge as this, xp per hour is almost as irrelevant as xp per second. Yay I can turn in 100 zeal in one second, I'm the best?
  3. Way to completely miss the point. The point is, to some, being fun IS being efficient, and vis-versa. Ok I realize that sarcasm over the internet is a bit difficult, but I was making the exact same point as you. I thought the "What the hell?" would have given it away... edit: On topic, some of my own experiences. Lately I've been cleaning lots of herbs for herblore exp. I hate the task, but the result is so cool that I rather do it than mix potions. I can't say I'm having fun while doing it, but the achievement will be enough fun to justify the grind. So in essence, I WANT to grind. BECAUSE it's the most efficient way.
  4. So there are like sides? Fun or efficiency? What the hell? Do I have to pick one?
  5. I'm like you in that I also like to slay and not waste time trading. So I'm no expert on this, but as far as I understand, it's not worth the time for someone like you or me to try to get rid of the junk. It'll require that someone sells you an item and is willing to take part of the payment in junk. It's pretty hard to find something like that if you don't want a) a crashing item or b) another form of junk.
  6. It still needs to happen 100 times in a row? I don't see why you would start on the second herb. That's only a 99 streak. By the same logic you could just do 0.9^50 and "assume the first 50 already failed". Anyway, for me the scroll of life is working exactly the way it always has. I'm still getting more than 10% of my seeds back. Yes more than 10%. It'll even out eventually but it's not happening yet...
  7. Good luck and remember that failing six times only makes it so much sweeter to finally succeed. ... Please don't fail less than me.
  8. I liked this quest, can't wait to see the sequel. First of all, the water sliding puzzle... That took me almost an hour. Avatar was easy. First try at Nomad, I didn't really know what I was doing and ran out of brews when he was at like 30% after healing. Second try I ran into the landmines/bombs because of lag and died. Third try I ran into bombs because of my stupidity and Nomad killed me. Fourth try I got him to berserk, but somehow I didn't notice that he wasn't able to melee me, so he resetted. Fifth try I brewed too late and he killed me, fight lasted about 15 seconds. Sixth try he was almost at berserk but I lagged and he resetted (I didn't die though). Seventh try I got to actually experience the berserk for real for the first time, and boy oh boy did it hurt. I spam clicked brews and didn't have time to attack at all. Luckily my kyatt downed him while I was chugging down brews. Two sips of brew, one ambush. That was my rotation. This was really hard for me, even though I kind of got it down right on the first try. Anyway now it's done and I feel like it's an achievement. Thanks bai.
  9. No. If your friend is doing this he is breaking the rules.
  10. Start cooldown? That sounds like something that would prevent instant transactions, but I know those happen...
  11. Ok thanks. So the only way for player B to sell his item is to wait until player A has sold his? Assuming there are no other offers at all of course.
  12. Player A has a sell offer of 1,000 gp for the item in the GE and player B has an offer of 1,020 gp. I put in an offer to buy the item for 1,050 gp. Whose item gets sold and for how much?
  13. "There is no such thing as a drop rate." -If you say this, you just don't know what drop rate means. The drop rate for whips is 1/450. That does NOT mean that exactly every 450th kill yields a whip. It also does NOT mean that you're guaranteed a whip drop if you kill 450 demons. It means that if you kill ten billion demons, you will, on average, get one whip per 450 kills. It would probably include fifteen consecutive whip drops and and a dry spell of 10k kills. But it would average out at one whip per 450 kills. Because that's the drop rate. Drop rate does NOT mean that as you near 450 kills, your chance of a whip drop gets better. It does NOT mean that there are cross server wide counters for Abyssal Demon kills that decide when a whip is dropped. This does NOT exist, and it's NOT what drop rate means. This kind of a system would be ridiculous in both concept and implementation. Every time you kill a demon, it's a roll of the dice. The dice (die? don't know my English) just has 450 sides to it instead of 6.
  14. When I do something in my room, like read books or the internet, watch tv or movies, clean, sit around, play with my cat or whatever else, I play runescape. Everything I do in RS is AFK'd. There's no 100% focus on RS ever. If I want to focus on playing a game, I go play PS3 or great games like Diablo 2 on the computer (then again I usually play RS while playing d2). The least AFKable (=playble, for me) tasks are mining (I haven't tried concentrated rocks), fletching, thieving... Easiest stuff of course wc, fishing, cooking, alching, prayer. I play RS because it's easy to play while doing something else.
  15. Yes that's all true, but what I mean is that standards might change. One day the developers might well deem runecrafting too hard to train. And yes prayer is still super expensive which of course adds to the amount of time it requires, but as you said, someone has already done it and there are more people who could afford it. I'm not saying all this will happen but it's possible. After all, the game is getting easier and easier (or faster and faster), I don't think there's ever been an update that made something slower. However unlikely it is, even one of these harder skills getting boosted to "easy" status makes 200m in all skills a lot easier. RS2 was released, what, 5 years ago? Think about the difference between RSC and now. Just think if the game changes as much in five more years. Obviously.
  16. It happened for prayer. Unlikely but possible. You never what happens when new games and competition come around. Runescape if any is an evolving game and I'm sure there are lots of old-timers who never thought the game would become as "easy" as it is now. Hell we might even get Runescape 3 and it might revolutionize gameplay and everyone would laugh at RS2 like they now laugh at fatigue. At that point it's whole different question though.
  17. Would it be possible if every skill was as fast as firemaking/cooking? Is it possible that new updates, little by little, make every skill that fast? All it really requires is a minigame or new training method that gives mad exp for the skill in question. The first guy to achieve 200m in every skill might be someone who hasn't even started yet.
  18. Really nice 10/10 for sure. Better start enjoying that slayer.
  19. I always thought these were something you needed more like 30 hours to get, if not more. I have never had a head drop.
  20. For wc eucs are the best. For rc definitely make nats either through the abyss or with a graahk. Won't take too long either way. Doing slayer will probably get you lots of charms as a by-product. If you do herb farming laps all the time while you're working on these other goals you will get more than 65 farming easily. I did ranarrs until 62 and then snapdragons, which have made me 500k exp without me noticing it at all. Add trees if you want faster exp. What I would do for mining is gold in Keldagrim and for magic, high alch. Just use the nats you made yourself. Iron might be faster for mining, I don't know, but IMO powertraining is pointless. For agility I did the Agility Arena until I could do the wilderness course and then just did that. Haven't tried ape atoll so I don't know if it's better.
  21. The whole Garage Inc album by Metallica (only covers) is fantastic! Might be because I'm a bit of a fanatic but anything Hetfield does is golden. Possibly the best performance on the album is Astronomy: [hide=Here's the original by Blue Öyster Cult][yt]7xXEtO3bEe0[/yt][/hide] The symphony take on Stairway to Heaven was really beautiful. Zakk Wylde's version was great too but in my opinion it's best to cover this as an instrumental. You'll just miss Robert Plant no matter how well the cover is sung.
  22. From best to least best: Supernatural House (Prison Break, I know it's done but I'm still watching) Lost Heroes Smallville And, well.... The Biggest Loser... I'm sure there are others but it's summer so I can't remember everything. And I'm not counting comedies.
