  1. If an antivirus that got all the viruses that existed, everyone would have it. There are no antivirus that catches all the viruses, and that's why we also have more than one program to get the Viruses/Spyware/Adware, most anti-spyware also catch the trojans, from what I've seen. Avira Antivir has a better detection rate than most antiviruses, that's why we say it's good. It detects much more viruses than most. I'd disagree, A-Squared has a higher detection rate. Avira can't detect crap. Could you please provide evidence from an unbiased source? Not that I don't believe you, but you're simply showing one example which sbrideau2000 was easily able to negate. By providing an analysis of a variety of detrimental codes, you can further examine which antivirus softeware has a higher detection rate. But you also have to factor in the size of the program and the resources it requires; a track athlete isn't much good if he cannot run. Please also note that there is a difference between trojans and viruses. First of all, viruses are very hard to come by, usually it's keyloggers or trojans. It doesn't matter if the AV can detect old viruses or if has a big database of obsolete, ancient viruses, by the way all AV were forced to scan that file, so the file size is not important. Most trojans and keyloggers used are fresh and close to fud, which is why it matters how quickly an AV company reacts. By the way that detection is a false positive of an actual infected file. That's not the trojan I used, the trojan I used is under a week old, but better be safe than sorry right? Edit: Lol at you telling me to provide evidence from unbiased source. There's no such thing as an unbiased source.

  3. I don't understand why you guys think avira is good. It doesn't even detect a 3 month old trojan.
  4. Kaspersky and Dr. Web are the few ones that actually detect something.
  5. If it's drawn then who is it exploiting?... oh wait, nobody. CP is wrong because it is cruelly exploiting children, a drawing isn't. How can you tell that he won't go looking for a real thing later, and a few months/years after that won't try to abduct a 8 year old? You can't. I shouldn't read a All's Quiet on the Western Front then, I'm a war fan and if I read about people fighting how do I know I won't go and try to kill people? Pedophilia is a psychological disorder. Just letting you know. If it's drawn then who is it exploiting?... oh wait, nobody. CP is wrong because it is cruelly exploiting children, a drawing isn't. How can you tell that he won't go looking for a real thing later, and a few months/years after that won't try to abduct a 8 year old? You can't. Your like the people who try and ban gta. :wall: If that was the case, Ban all fps's- cause you shoot people Ban runescape, cause you can fight people Ban super mario brothers- you eat mushrooms(drug influence!!1one) Do you work for 4kidz by anychance? :wall: Now you realize your collection of cartoon CP is illegal. The second step would be getting rid of it. Same to sworddude198.

  8. I agree, if they want to REALLY do something, they should buy a ticket to their country and fight instead of blocking highways expecting Canada to interfere. And TBH, no one cares about stopping bloodshed, it's all about profit, and there is no profit in their little war, so no point for anyone to interfere. On the other hand if they had oil... Even USA would go there to 'bring peace'.
  9. No no no, do NOT use WEP, as I stated earlier it can be broken in about 10 mins easily. Go for WPA, it's much more secure. If I remember correctly it's done using bruteforce (which can take hundreds of years) or a dictionary attack (only works if you use a word that is in the dictionary). If you password is long and isn't in the dictionary, you are safe. Sorry but I don't wish to appear condescending but you really have no idea what you're talking about. I have cracked a friends wifi using WEP as a test in 25 minutes, and she was using a key of 26 random characters, passwords do not enter into the equation. And before anyone asks, I am not going to tell what tool I was using to do this as I really do not endorse the practice of breaking security. I misread WPE as WPA. No need to act all high and mighty because of it. By the way taking 25 minutes to enter a few commands is really long. I complete the whole procedure in about 3 minutes.

  11. I suggest you secure your connection again. I don't care if you think there are no script kiddies living around your place, but there might who happen connect to your wifi. Who might run a "program" that analyzes network packets, or even worse use your network to do something illegal. If it's anything money related, local authorities will come, confiscate your computer and turn your place upside down. I don't think you would want that.
  12. If so, prove it by listing the components you've used. You can exclude the monitor, keyboard and mice. Please don't use crappy components, and please no VIA. The reason why I'm asking is because I'm thinking whether it's better and cheaper to get a console for gaming, and at the moment it appears to be so.
  13. Source: N4G.com - Crytek has just released a new video showing off their incredible engine running on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, with new footage and specifying which console runs each segment. The video encoded in high bitrate and is available for streaming and downloading. <!-- m -->http://www.gamersyde.com/stream_10376_en.html<!-- m --> Here's a 1280x720 comparison gif for you: <!-- m -->http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2320 ... 112585.gif<!-- m -->
  14. I'm currently working on a low poly version of a tank, and I've encountered a problem. When I use Boolean to unite two objects, it creates a whole bunch of unnecessary junk. Does anybody know how to fix it?
  15. IB is very difficult. You can overestimate your abilities and join, but it's likely you'll have to drop out in a year or two.
  16. I was playing airsoft my whole childhood and never wore a mask, never got hit in the face either.
  17. Interesting topic imo. From one point of view it was the cause for technological and economic improvements as well as social reforms and there's an apparent improvement in literacy after the revolution took place. On the down side, you have labor exploitation and pollution. Would we be better off if it has never happened or not? Discuss.

  19. It's not like there's a line of cars waiting for him to service them, unless he's one of those annoying kids who run up to a car and start cleaning it against the drivers will while he is in traffic, and then demand money although the driver has not asked them to clean his windshield.
  20. washing trucks, I am not doing it because in the summer the heat + soapy water is unbearable Steady 40$ income for washing trucks, a job that requires no education or thinking? Funny guy. :D
