  1. [hide=] What? Windows 7 is a ton of tweaks as well, you can't take hearing one part of windows 7 and simply assume that is it. Part of what they are trying to do is make it so that the OS is more intuitive to use, what with the new taskbar and all that. And really you can already watch blue ray videos with a blue ray player on a vista based (and XP I assume) computer, you already have the 64 bit capabilities (you can't just make it so that it can use "more" ram, its going to have a limitation based around the fact that it is only 64 bit). Also Windows 7 seems to be making major strides in performance and stability as well. Not as if it really needs more stability, haven't had a windows related crash in years. Speaking of macs though, the one I was using just yesterday froze up from some flash based site on firefox. And in true OSX fashion it doesn't crash, oh no, it freezes -- requiring a hard restart. I was talking about Snow Leopard, and the limit, so I hear is a theoretical 16TB. Snow Leopard isn't an entirely new GUI, like XP was to Vista; I was comparing the two. You can't watch blu-ray on Leopard, which is also what I was talking about. Again, the stability, Snow Leopard. Also, I'm sure they could be a number of variables related to the crash. Abode is supported by Mac. Who's to say that specific time wasn't the first time it crashed in years? Just a thought. [/hide] 16TB? The words can not explain how expensive it will be, especially if it comes from Apple, so I will use a smiley face:
  2. Good news: I've hijacked dad's p4 3.2Ghz with 800 FSB and it works at full speed. Bad news: Because of it (I have no f- idea how it's related except for maybe fsb speed) my 512 MB RAM stick died, leaving me with only 1 GB. I guess I'll buy 3.2 Ghz and get a new RAM stick.
  3. I'm confident it will work. From my personal experience - the only game that didn't work for me when I switched to Vista was BF2, and that was because it couldn't find a CD Key (Which is stored in the registry)
  4. Might i ask why? Damn, i should really read more about bus speeds. Denis, are you getting a P4 for free or how much are you paying for it? ~20$ for the CPU + Shipping that is about 15$ (CAD)
  5. I have a choice between staying with Celeron D 330 256kb that is 3.3 Ghz (Overclocked), 533mhz bus, 663 overclocked, or getting: Socket 478 P4 3.2 Ghz, 1mb, 800 Mhz bus or Socket 478 P4 2.8 Ghz, 1mb, 533 Mhz bus My mobo doesn't support 800 so it would underclock the 800 Mhz processor making it run 2.1 Ghz with 533 bus. I could overclock it back but I'm not sure my motherboard can overclock up to 800 mhz, highest I've taken it was 700 mhz with my celeron. Which one should I pick?
  6. [hide=] No that sounds about right. Actually, it seems I happen to be dead-on as to the era... Stronger systems had arrived by 1993, which places the "32 KB RAM with 50 MB HD" specs well before that. Have a look at the following... http://ltelite.cybtonic.com/introduction.htm ...as well as several links trailing off of it... Such as an article from Bnet, which you'll find about two links away. :geek: <*DVD stares behind his self at a "Compaq LTE Lite 4/33C" from the era, remembering the days when he used to play ID Software's "DOOM" demo on it, then smiles fiendishly... For him, those were the days. ...*> We can only hope, Killerred005... LOL! ~D. V. "Old stuff... What sweet memories..." Devnull [/hide] I'm talking about 1990 and you are talking about 1992-1993. It's like assuming processors in the 2005 line and processors in the 2008 line have the same processing power, plus 1 gb HD came out in about 1992. Were seen on people's computers as often as a single 1.5TB hard drive these days. Why reinvent a wheel? Interestingly enough, Windows 7 will make use of the windows micro kernel, just 40 megabytes in size. A nice improvement from the what, 1 gigabiclycle or more? Isn't Vista kernel 3.3 MB?
  7. Interestingly enough, Windows 7 will make use of the windows micro kernel, just 40 megabytes in size. A nice improvement from the what, 1 gigabiclycle or more? That's still large, compared to kernel sizes back in 1990... All ya needed was 32 MB of RAM (at maximum) back then, to which only about a few hundred KB were in use with the system at idle. And heck, you only needed about 1 GB of disk space for everything, only about 18 MB (*gasp*) of which was needed for ALL of the core files and utility programs! And knowing all of that continues to make "Windows 7" look like a large rat... Sure, it is an improvement, but it ain't THAT much... LOL!!! ~D. V. "Yes, I'm tossing in a sarcastic bag of humor, via ancient facts." Devnull More like 32kb RAM with 50 mb hard drive for a high end computer. My dad and his friend were always amazed how much stuff could fit into a 1gb hard drive if they came up with one for PC, and that was back in like 1993. "Imagine how many programs and text files you could fit into that thing!"
  8. Use an online scanner to scan your computer, Kaspersky knows that trojan now so you can use it.
  9. I'm using Vista SP1 with my Celeron and it works as fast as XP. My experience rating is 4.1 by the way, although I doubt it is very accurate.

  12. What about adults with a mental capacity of a 15 year old? Every teen acts very old and mature, until they mess up and start screaming "I'm only 16, only 16!!!"

  16. No one cared about each other in the times of USSR, the world has rotten prior to that, although they've had a lot of clubs running, for example chess clubs, radio clubs, boxing clubs, people were even playing chess outside, now they don't do that.

  18. Not really a secret but my friend and I are playing a game called "operation no masturbation". The point is to not masturbate longer than your opponent. My current record is about 8 days, count was reset 2 days ago. :twss:
  19. 188cm and 75 kilograms, I hate anorexic women and men who find themselves "hot", because they lack fat and muscle tissue, I also hate fat men who think they are "though" because they look so big. I'm attracted to normal weight girls because that's the way you are SUPPOSED to be, not too skinny or obese.
  20. Forum is even more unreliable. The best thing to do is ask people who actually believe in it. Some guys in the church of Scientology (Toronto) can explain it pretty logically.

  22. Lol? If you get mugged....and you think/know the person has something that could possibly kill you, you probably shouldn't run. Not everyone is Indiana Jones. Just act calm and give them your crap. You are responding as if I said you should fight both of them or something along those lines. Funny. Unless you suffer from dystrophy, too much runescaping or morbid obesity, you can outrun those two. Even if it was two 6"3, muscular thugs I would still chose to run for it, never give up, fight to the end. 0fefH-Uf7JY

Woke up, smoked two joints, vandalized a couple of houses down the block, broke into 10 cars and stole a few GPS and credit cards, checked out my girls (I'm a pimp), ate, stabbed a random person to death, did cocaine, watched The Simpsons and went to sleep. On a serious note, what's the point of this thread? This is nothing but spam. It should go into Forum Games.
