The longest I haven't slept for is about 48 hours. No coffee no nothing. It's pretty pointless IMO, after 24 hours you stop thinking properly and remembering what you've JUST done becomes difficult, you feel like you are "Away".

That is if you play latest games, if not, than windows XP with 512 MB RAM is all you need. Your surf speed won't increase because of RAM and anything past 512 MB is not noticeable in XP, unless you play games that need a lot of resources.

There's nothing bad about manual IP configuration. As for the router, I suggest getting a router from Cisco (Linksys) or D-link.

If I remember correctly, the programs that require multiple files (unlike calculator for example) don't launch because the DCOM server process launcher is disabled, but I might be wrong. All I remember for sure is that disabling one of the services causes that. Sorry for not spoon feeding you.

Next gen xbox and wii will compete with next gen playstation, not playstation 3. The only reason why xbox sold more consoles than ps3 is because it was released a lot earlier, many people already got themselves an xbox and there was no point of buying another console. If they were released at the same date, ps3 would surely beat xbox 360. Not only that, but xbox 360 breaks a lot more often (RROD, anyone?), my friend is on his third one, while my other friend is still on his first ps3.

I'm playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R shadow of Chernobyl and Elder scrolls: Oblivion, although most of my free time goes into learning Macromedia Flash 8 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Way to prove you have no clue what you are talking about. Cruiser is right, get a new computer. They might actually have a point as my system resources are at 98% before I play RuneScape. Therefore, Windows takes about less than two MB of RAM. Are you sure your reading that right? I highly doubt you have 98% free resources. Are you sure your not looking at your CPU usage before you start Runescape? When I start the RuneScape client, it's at 92% free. That doesn't make sense, take a screenshot.
