  1. sudo macchanger --mac 6B:1C:32:33:41:65 wlan0 Ta-da. Same applies for windows. That is just going to fake one. That isn't going to change the actual hard coded address. You can change it nevertheless. For windows it's even easier, you can make the change persistent as long as the program does what it needs to do on startup. You can fake in in the registry with out a program in windows.... The point is you are not going to permanently change it on the hardware. I know that, but why bother if you can just click. What I'm trying to say is that you can spoof mac if you really want to.

  3. I don't completely understand what you are trying to say. If you are trying to locate a computer based on an internal address, it's not possible. Unless the laptop is still at your workplace, there is no way you will get it back. sudo macchanger --mac 6B:1C:32:33:41:65 wlan0 Ta-da. Same applies for windows.
  4. It was imageshack, the images are just back to normal now. Oh, they did a good job then.
  5. I don't think it's imageshack, most images are fine. They've probably exploited websites vulnerability.
  6. Windows randomly connects to a microsoft server even when updates and etcetera are turned off, so I don't see a single difference between them.
  7. No. You can make anything undetectable to every antivirus. ...So how would i go about removing it if i do have one? http://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=78781 I could copy-paste the whole post but what's the point? You should also look at the active connections, see if you have any strange activity there.
  8. How would i go about doing this....since I can't long into any runescape page. Use a proxy..... Problem still persists..... Using a proxy does not work. That's because proxies don't cover Java. Someone might have installed a rat or similar on your pc and uses it to bruteforce accounts. And I would detect + remove that with an Anti-virus software correct? No. You can make anything undetectable to every antivirus.

  10. What do you mean by multiple homepages? The speed dial page in opera probably. http://www.digitallycreated.net/Images/ ... edDial.jpg
  11. You should secure your wireless, anything but WPE because having WPE is equal to having no encryption at all.
  12. Well, try redownloading it from runescape.com and if avast still picks it up as generic trojan, it's a false positive. Pretty much everything that silently starts downloading/dropping things on your computer is considered as a trojan to avast.
  13. That's...scary... :ohnoes: I love those :P. :uhh: wow thats really creepy, how do those work User agent + IP information.
  14. I didn't see anything on these kind of threads in the rules, so I suppose they are allowed. I'm willing to answer any questions regarding rats, botnets, keyloggers, stealers, crypters, downloaders, phishing, pharming, firewalls, antiviruses, wireless security and related. I'm not going to teach you how to make or do any malicious actions, but I will explain how you can protect yourself from getting infected/falling for one of the attacks. If such threads aren't allowed, I won't mind if it's locked/deleted, it will be your loss, not mine. ;)
  15. Like what? Visual Basic teaches you to think of problems in a more linear fashion. C++ and C# are both more heavily object-oriented. Visual Basic is a higher-level language. In other words, you don't have to think about a lot of things you would in another language, since it's all taken care of for you. You don't have to worry about memory management, pointers, or even too much about data types. Those are just some I could find. But most the the people Ive heard from or read are mixed. So :? Visual basic is visual basic. C++ is C++ C# is C# I don't see where you are going with that.
  16. I don't see the difference as long as it gets the job done. You heard correctly, it doesn't even use MinGW as a compiler. I would recommend Eclipse. Oh no! It doesn't use MinGW! It's useless now! /sarcasm
  17. Its better the have it, then not havn't it. I'd have to disagree. AntiVirus = False sense of security. This is true in many cases. But anti-virus programs DO work, they do the job they're meant to do, it's no scam or gimmick, it's just that they cannot catch everything, which sort of makes them useless. They catch some threats... which you won't get in the first place if you know what you're doing. It's really up to you to get anti-virus or not. If you want one, get Kaspersky. It's Russian so you know it's good. :) I think that there is one key thing to remember. Computers are entirely logical machines. They do nothing without reason, and never defy their programming. No operation on a computer can be hidden or secret, because NOTHING... is safe from the decompiler. If the person isn't a skiddie, he's going to crypt his program, or could even write his own if it's something as simple as a keylogger/password stealer which would make the program fully undetectable. Then you can bind it with a legit program, or even a fake one. My friend has over 2k people on his botnet, people who like to run files thinking their avg/avast/avira/kaspersky will detect it if it's a malicious program. At least with a decent firewall you can see which ports are open, and it may even ask you whether you want the process to open a port (in case it's a RAT, hostbooter or irc bot) or it's going to ask you for permission before it sends info out via ftp or smtp (stealer/keylogger). AntiVirus does none of that. It scans the file, doesn't recognize it as anything malicious that's it. Some avs do come with firewalls, but they are very limited and usually auto-allow ports such as 8080. As for decompilers, the user must be really advanced to use it, and in many cases someone who can decompile a program and actually get something out of it won't fall for anything I've mentioned above. Many programs come with anti-whatever which includes anything ranging from anti-sniffers to anti-virtual environments to anti-debuggers and some even have anti-kaspersky (haha). Frankly, if I was forced to get an antivirus, I would get kaspersky.

  19. I'm not trying to sound rude, but a firewall and a brain is all you need. No antivirus is going to 100% protect you from viruses, trojans, keyloggers and stealers.
  20. HSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Python. As easy as visual basic.
  21. It's called pharming. Delete everything except for 127.0.0.1 localhost from the hosts file.
  22. And then he'll spend another hour reconfiguring the router. Yay for simple solutions.
  23. You can either crack it or run a small app on a PC that is connected to wireless to get the key.
  24. File size, of the program, not the virus. By unbiased source, it's implied that I meant from a source other than an antivirus company or someone who isn't keen on selling a specific product. My point being, how can you assess the detection rate through one detection, or in this case, false positive? The file size does not make any difference. It's not based on 1 detection, I've noticed avira not detecting crap many, many times before, and even if the antivirus review is not from the company that sells the antivirus, there is such thing as advertising. That's how they do it in the hosting world too. Whoever pays more, gets the first spot. If you insist on using avira, it's fine with me, but don't complain when all your passwords get stolen "out of nowhere" ;)
