Know any cool, almost-never used English words?
ShadowSam19 replied to trapical's topic in Off-Topic
I have a good one: lackadaisical: lacking spirit, liveliness, or interest; languid it just sounds so cool. I actually use every know and then. Some other good ones: Cumbersome Ramification lethargic <-- I use that one alot. -
I doubt he was being entierly serious...do you really think he is honestly suggesting monster to call us noobs? Teh author of this thread is obviously sour about the state of the wild, and pking, and decided to make this post to be funny, and/or rant. Regardless, i do agree monsters need better AI. Maybe monsters of a certain lvl or race should be smart enough to go around stuff, or run away...i dunno.

Runescrafting quest Runecrafting skill 4 new random events (maybe 5, i cant remember) All the range stufff Draynor sewers Tiaras etc. etc. I think jagex is being mroe than nice to us, since they are kind enough to give us updates even though we dont pay them. If you want super hard quests or new items, pay for members. O, and p2p is an expansion.

There is a definate difference between truth and opinion. How we see things, and comprend things, and know things, are all opinion. The sky being blue is an opinion that the majority of people have, a colorblind person, however, would say its not blue (i think tehy would say grey...i dunno). Some opinions, like teh sky thing, are held so commonly that it may seem to become truth. A different example would be everyone thinking the world was flat. At that time it was the truth that the world was flat...but they were wrong so it wasnt the truth, so i guess it was more of an opinion. An elephant being bigger than an ant is the truth. No matter who you are, what you are, or how big you are, it is the truth. I dunno if this all came out right... this is somewhat of a, for the lack of a better word, confusing, topic. But thats just my truthful opinion...

My Solution to Smithing and Other Problems
ShadowSam19 replied to Adam007's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Your exactly right about not going up, but instead going to the side. if every year there was a new and better armour, then eventually dragon would be as worthless as steel. Jagex needs to create new armours that are teh same, but different, like you described. But the thing about being able to smith new armours, it would maek the skill crammed. You cant keep putting stuff at teh same lvl, so that for every lvl you raise you can make 6 new things. That just wont work. Eventually, and this goes for every skill, jagex will run out of room. theres only so many things jagex can add with a 99 limit, so somewhere down teh road some thing has to change. As for the topic at hand, i agree. New stuff needs to be added to keep smithing fresh, and profitable, its a hard skill and the rewards should reflect that. -
Runescape Console Game + other ideas for RS
ShadowSam19 replied to daftpunk1232's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Im not gonna get into the console thing...but its been suggested before and has always been shot down for various reasons. The other stuff you have suggested is basically POH (player owned houses) and jagex has said they will release that eventually...and they will also release carpentry which will involve making some of the stuff you described. -
no need to be that harsh...nut i agree that there shoudlnt be entire servers for hi lvls. It would be more appropriate to have maybe a town or something for hi lvlers. Though they do already have the guilds, so this isnt in any way needed.

Dungeon/Mining Site: Sand-term Sewers
ShadowSam19 replied to Blaze The Movie Fan's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Constructive Criticism  -
This has been brought up multiple times. Jagex wants you to pay the 5$ for this convience. Its a simple and clever stradegy to get more members. You want a closer bank for fishing? Pay that money again. And i think the draynor bank is closer, but im not sure...

Serious Racism & Stereotyping Discussion ( REAL TALK)
ShadowSam19 replied to Catcher_Bl0k's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I dont think many people here will be very supportive of your "make the chat filter stricter" idea...you see that by all the posts wanting jagex to remove the chat filter all together....but back to your topic. I dont think these people are saying racist terms to be racist, they are saying them as swear words. That doesnt make it any better, just dont take it as personally. These people are using the anomity (sp?) to be rude and cruel, just for fun. -
Bestiaty: Magic Scimitar (Lv.50)
ShadowSam19 replied to Blaze The Movie Fan's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
One question regarding the examine...If im not mistaken, these scimitars look like normal, harmless scimitars, until you try to pick them up, at which point they turn into into evil flying scimitars. if this is indeed the case, than i think the origanal examine should teh same as normal scimitars, or something like " a seemingly ordinary scimitar" then it would have your given examine once tehy attacked you. -
Younger players-were not all bad
ShadowSam19 replied to mistercrabby1's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I agree, i dont think ive seen many people refer to 15 yr olds as the young immature ones. Most people think of the young immature ones as 12 and younger, 13 tops. I dont know where you say someone gneeralizing that 15 yr olds were immature, but i dont think that generalization is as common as 13 and under stereotypes. -
Dungeon/Mining Site: Sand-term Sewers
ShadowSam19 replied to Blaze The Movie Fan's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
First off, its re-spawn, not re-swap, supposed to, not deposed to, and bestiery, not what ever you sometimes say. Secondly, Whats the point of the Ghost women? You kill a lvl 186 monster to get a key, to get inot a room, full of fake swords that attack you? I think the the fake swords are funny though, someone trys to pick tehm up, then gets attacked...i find that funny for some reason. And i dont think there should be a tele grabable respawn of a black plate...people good sell those to get money to buy more runes to tele grab more...and get alot of mage exp for free. And thats alot of mithril rocks...remember my whole balance post? Theres some cc for you to think about  Good post, keep them coming. -
BANKING - Saving your Setup? (you'll want it!)
ShadowSam19 replied to baconburgare's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I think Blaziken is right on this. p2p has more skills, more equipment for the skills, and just plain more stuff to wear and orginize. f2pers, on the other hand, have a few basic outfits, and limited bank space. It would make sense for this to be a p2p feature, and jagex could use it to get more memebrs, aswell. BTW, i think this idea is great, and more origanal (and better though out) than most bank related suggestions. -
I like that idea alot. It could also have rules like in the duel arena, so people woudlnt come back, or use pray when they werent suppose to or something. And there could be stands aswell, so poeple would come watch. I think this a great idea, and the money drain idea on top of that is quite clever. Im all for it.
-
You just made my point yourself, but I'll reiterate it. This idea would too much easy xp, even if it's a small amount. And a small amount still has a pretty big effect on getting lvls 1-10. That's why I think actually picking up the rocks is necessary-it keeps you from getting levels too fast. By the way, if you wish this to be *purely* for fun, like the rubber chickens (no xp, no damage), then fine, no inventory slot :) lpinkus I did make that point, but i also countered it 2 ways. It wouldnt matter if it gave no, or little xp, since its main use would be fun.

In case you didnt notice, i was agreeing with you there. But f2p is not a demo. p2p and f2p are the same game, but p2p has more on top of that. f2p is not lacking any important element. It could stand alone as game and people would play it as much as they do now. p2p is built up from that game, with extra stuff. Think of it like this: f2p is the main floor of a house, and p2p is the vast upstairs with a whole lotta extra stuff. P2p is not, instead, the main floor of the house with f2p being the dingy little basement. They built up from f2p, not down from p2p, making p2p a worthwile expansion, and f2p not being a watered down 30 day trial demo. I agree with you that f2pers shouldnt ask for more stuff. Jagex is being nice enough to let us play this great, complete game for free with no strings attatched. In no way do i expect them to give us updates, infact i hope they dont, so people like you dont complain that we are freeloaders. Yes, Jagex's aim with f2p is to get members, but that doesnt mean if you arent gonna be a member, you should just not play.

I dunno who said otherwise, but the sleeping bag wasnt used for healing. It was used for replenishing energy that everything drained from you...such as fighting, and fishing, and mining.
-
You never choose to fight unarmed except for fun, or poorness, or the other examples you said. The unarmed range would be for fun. And i still dont think you have to put something your inventory slot. I think, howevr, there should be a limit to the amount of stuff that you can pick up in an area. Otherwise you could afk train for hours without wasting any items, or have a fear of dieing. Or they could just add a random event where you pick up a scorpian or centipede or ant by mistake that bites or poinsons you...

Ive said it before adn ill say it again. f2p is NOT a DEMO. f2p is full, complete, living breathing game. P2P is an EXPANSION with members BENIFETS. In no way is f2p a trial, a demo, or anything short of a fully emersive, complex game. p2p is better, more emerisive, mroe stuff to do, etc. Everything else i agreee with, f2pers should stop asking for p2p stuff. Has there ever, in the history of runescape been something that was p2p, then became f2p aswell?? Stop asking, as much as i would enjoy getting p2p stuff without paying, it will never happen, be content with what we have, and, let me reinterate, f2p is not a demo.

It took what, 20 seconds max to fully dissipate fatigue,,, It'd be nice for energy... And no one said you HAVE to take it, why don't you just not use it... I was under the impression he wanted the whole fatigue system back, which, as you can see, i disagree with. It would be fine and dandy to have sleeping bags/beds/benches for just energy though, infatc, i favor that idea.

Limited trial for f2p...could it happen!?
ShadowSam19 replied to lpinkus's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
people before me are right. If they made a trial period, of almost any length under a year, they would see a major drop in new subscriptions. a week or month isnt long enough to get hooked on runescape, or to do all there is to do in f2p. Plus, how would it work? f2p as we know would be over, since every day people would finish their trial. the f2p worlds would be emptier, and the economy would be shot, since there wouldnt be any people with high stats. A trial period would hurt jagex mroe than help it. It will enver happen. -
I highly disagree. It annoying having to take a sleeping bag everywhere you went, wasting an inventory slot. Plus, is was mainly to stop autoers, i believe, and they have random events for that now. Id rather have to wait for my energy to regain for running, then have to sleep and wait for everything.
