  1. Sold Tetsu legs today for 10,581,883 gp, or one below GE guide price. Offer took ~12 hours to sell. This probably tells you absolutely nothing about their true price, but tetsu bodies are reportedly going for ~12 mil as reported on the forums (Rs's Most Trusted Resource™) so I figured legs would be a better bet.
  2. But but...the 1% chance of adventurer rerolls! You're missing out!
  3. asgadpfgua[lsdhlk just rerolled past my 3rd Oxhead to complete the challenge. Even worse, I caught a brief glimpse of its flavor text....same as another one I had. </life>
  4. I know that Tetsu Legs are 1200k. So if the percentage drops are the same, then presumably you could work our the new value of Tetsu Body. But I wouldn't count on that level of consistency from Jagex right now. Not nearly the same percentage-wise. That makes legs "much" better (24k/resource) than helms (16.6k) per trade good used. In order for body armor to match legs, it would have to drop 1.92m. This won't affect tetsu too much in the short term I don't think, since it's the highest in price, but since death lotus and sea singer's were already close to or at their old artificial floor of 133k/trade good, I think they will fall in price close to the new drop values.
  5. Well, it's true. Ports tradeable armor just took a major kick in the nuts. Sacrificed a tradeable tetsu helm just now, and it dropped only 500k in the wilderness. That's an 87.5% drop from the 4m previously. I don't know what legs and torso armor drop for (out of trade goods) but presumably they aren't worth 4m and 5m anymore. Prepare for a massive drop in price, if it hasn't happened already.
  6. Okay. So. Ignoring the fact that a few players appeared to get significantly richer with the Let's Turn Your Useless Superior Port Armor Into Cash Bonanza™, Jagex changed the value of superior drops considerably: Tradeable leg armor drops for, what, 4.5m? Or it did anyways. If Jagex changed it today so that it drops much less than what it used to (and presumably would change the helmet/body armor pieces as well), this could conceivably cut the value of tradeable ports armor by 75% or so. Suddenly my 3.95m sea singer hoods could be worth less than 1m, etc etc. I am getting way more aggravated at this than I should be, but I would prefer not to have a bunch of bug abusers kick me in the crotch with their +400m gains only for Jagex to step on my face afterward and completely wreck what little profit ports had left. EDIT: Grammar error.
  7. I made a Tetsu Body just a day ago, left in GE til now and it sold 19m. :) Yeah, I showed 0 patience. I started it at 18m (saw a forum report of one selling at 18.8m), didn't sell for 10 min, then dropped it to 17m for another 10 minutes and then 16. It obviously sold on the 16m offer (for 16.2). Still, body is going down pretty steadily. It wouldn't surprise me if in a few weeks it's down to the 10-11m range, which would put tetsu on par with death lotus/sea singer price-wise and make selling helmets indefinitely for slightly less than 4m the ports end game.
  8. Depending on the size of your bank account, I would assume construction. It scales wonderfully from 0 to 12.5m xp/hour.
  9. On that note, sold tetsu body for 16.2m instant (just over 200k/plate). For tetsu at least it looks like saving up to make the body is still (for now) best.
  10. Also, I would say get the 1% boosts because it allows you to keep your ship focus on the pincers, rather than hunting for the +100's in the bowl. Yes, lower-tier trait voyages show up rarely in the pincers, but they're not common enough to worry about getting, especially seeing as you'd need four.
  11. Regarding port resources...my strategy is to reroll any steel voyages that aren't 450/700 and any trait voyages (my captains are maxed on traits) and do any trade goods and any non-steel voyages. I still get plenty of steel (23k+ atm) and I've got several thousand of everything else bar bamboo. I'm easily able to finish all my mission each day doing this. EDIT: Should say this allows me to keep my captain focus on the pincers, which helps get the 5 trade good missions.
  12. Half an hour with the superior tree shaking scrimshaw, for those interested: 11 nests (9 seed, 1 ring, 1 egg) 6 implings (2 nature, 2 essence, 2 spirit)
  13. But that LP value was prior to this update.. so nothing changed really It's obviously some employee making bank out of these (?) THAT ONE WHITE BOOTS GUY? OT: Anyone have any idea of what ports tradeable armor is going for? Mostly tetsu since I have my port set up to get that, and torva prices fell off a cliff..
  14. Failed The Defiance of Hyu-Ji. *sad trombone* Good news is I still have 3 FOTS to try again, bad news is I might have to wait another month just to get the voyage. I nearly have the 100 plate for my superior tetsu plate without the 71 from the voyage, heh.
  15. I too have had a charm sprite daily challenge sitting for a few weeks ready for this update. Hope it's worth the wait.
  16. That happens far too often, especially with trio voyages (when they come back, they nuke any undone specials for that day, so try to set it up where it comes back with nothing left). 51st scroll complete - one more for full armor scrolls, then to do the useless scrims I have left. I'm essentially at the ports end game now - all scrolls I care about done, ship/crew/port upgrades finished (with 4 jade statues). Now it's just stockpiling trade goods to sell stuff.
  17. Not impossible, I get them from time to time. Rare, but they exist.
  18. It's never a 20% drop. 10% for me at the most, usually 7-8% (especially if the voyage involes Morale since merchants have 600 points there).
  19. Server status page! Man that was old. I got on there *once* (that I know of) - the day the wilderness released, the servers were up and down all day. Once, with like 50 people on, I was the highest miner and smith (58/52 or whereabouts). Good times.
  20. Continuing on that note, I discovered over the weekend that max port score is not 2400, but 2205. For some reason I thought it was 2400 - was that stated in a news post or something? I was adding up all the points I had left to get and not coming close to 2.4k, so I figured something was up.
  21. Also, because making pieces of the same set of armor be different in focus would be ..weird. Since current ports armor is widely speculated to become t85 defensive, it wouldn't make sense for port boots/gloves to suddenly be offensive. My OCD mind can't wrap my head around that concept.
  22. Still waiting on my final two story missions - been stuck at 40 for close to a month now.
  23. I'm also on three telescopes and one jade statue, but more because I don't have the resources to make it two and two (still hunting steel) yet.
  24. Now for the secondary action ... bots adjust every time there is some massive anti-botting update, so I expect the hosts (and players) to do the same. IRC is a fairly stealthy way to do things, and not very detectable (except for people trading gold in game). I wonder how Jagex will respond in the coming weeks.
  25. Plus, how likely is it that we can hit 10k+ on even one requirement in the duo 11.5k voyages? For single stat voyages the 1% is definitely better, but now we need to figure out how often single stat voyages come about compared to their duo/trio counterparts. What's wrong with you, Jagex? I thought this game was linear with only one way to play! (/sarcasm)
