  1. I doubt it will be updated until we have new crew info to put into it. Although they could put in the new ship parts I guess.
  2. After reset, go to a popular world/building site and jump on all the ambushers that spawn there. If you get one hit you are able to get override drops; I got my final three bandos pieces in 40 minutes one night.
  3. Raise your hand if you played Plague City day of release! You guys can have your fancypants weapons and doohickeys from Inventor later, I'm voting 600 times for Elf City.
  4. With all due respect...this mission showed up in the standard mission tab. I am 100% certain of this. I don't know if it's a glitch or intended, but it was NOT a special mission. I had one special mission at the time, the 900 steel duo.
  5. So here's some interesting voyage info: I had the occultist and missionary duo mission today, 900 steel. Given that I have over 400k steel I was putting it off (probably not even going to bother doing it TBH). I got one of the occultist solo voyages (An Arcane Bounty, 5 chi, double 11.5k) as a standard mission. Sent it out, and now I only have the missionary for my special (it changed to bones, so good for me?). Be careful and read exactly what missions you're sending out now and how it will affect your adventurers in port.
  6. Those stats are exceedingly revealing. Jagex's stated aim was to increase competition among high level/maxed players, but the further the playerbase goes (both higher in skill total, and higher in average XP) the more negative the response got. Clearly Jagex - how to put this nicely - completely bombed with the theory of Prestige. The very players subject to this system were the ones opposed to it in the greatest number. Back to the drawing board. I doubt Jagex tries to salvage anything from this; they're probably best served coming up with something new entirely.
  7. Absolutely correct! This is why there are only ~200 yes votes in the poll.
  8. Misleading, as you could only side with Guthix upon completion of The World Wakes, correct? I doubt a bunch of novice questers have completed TWW, so supporting Guthix wasn't an option for them. Not entirely misleading though: Novices did not have the chance to pick Guthix (though TWW only needs 140 cmb so it's doable by many) and equally many may not of had the Zaros choice. Everyone did however have Sara, arma, bandos, icth, zammy and sliske choices. The fact that in spite of this limitation Guthix and Zaros still reached 2nd and 3rd most popular says something. OK. Was there a second page or something? I just remember seeing Guthix on the first page, and since my character is Guthixian chose that automatically. Didn't see Zaros as an option (or, consequently, that Zaros also required a quest (Temple At Sennttisten?))

  10. That's what you get if you vote no. Basically, there's no reason to vote yes unless you legitimately think that the current solution is the best possible solution. Or, if the one feature you most like about the update (for me, the resetting ability) you think will get tossed out by Jagex in their rework.
  11. 37% yes, out of 75% needed (we'd never even make the original goal of 66% at this rate). So much for that. I voted yes, and was even thinking of trying out prestige.
  12. The same sort of people who can afford to play Runescape all day without having to go to school or have a job, or doing anything else in life. It seems some of the top players are financially secure enough that they can just afford to do that all day. In the 200M thread, I did the math for the first 39 days of Divination, and using extremely conservative estimates, it turned out that Drumgum was able to get 60M Divination experience by playing something like 16-17 hours a day. Allegedly, Suomi, similarly, didn't need a job, and nor did Jake, to support himself. So there's quite a few people that can afford it. Woah now, not having to work to support yourself and having cash to spend on spins are two completely different things. Being financially or otherwise secure to be able to play 16+ hours a day is reasonable for some people (basically all of the 200m all thread mancrushes). Having the financial resources to do that AND generate $200/day to spend on spins is another matter entirely.
  13. Edit: Never mind, I don't have a clue what I'm talking about so I'm going to shut up now.
  14. Still doesn't solve the overriding problem; the fact that t75 power armor (GWD) is uncategorically better than t80 defensive armor (tradeable ports) in basically every instance, and GWD armor is only slightly more expensive. Even if it doesn't turn to dust, tradeable ports armor is still pretty useless for non-fashionscape reasons.
  15. I'll be honest ... holiday events have become incredibly stale for me. Haven't done one in years. There's only so many ways you can spin Christmas or Halloween. Not saying others should be deprived of them, but I approve of the Lumbridge event this time.
  16. Why are you dead every time you get a drop at vorago? He probably got a clicking frenzy.
  17. Shouldn't be too hard to oversimplify explain things. Saradomin is good with blue coloring. Zamorak is evil with red coloring. There's some more basic stuff to cover (who Guthix was and why him not being around anymore is causing these things to happen, maybe a bit about Zaros) but most of the rest (Sliske, the Mahjarrat, Dragonkin, the desert pantheon etc. etc.) are varying degrees of advanced content anyhow that will be discovered in time as new players get further in the game.
  18. Hey, people smarter than me: is there any actual benefit to a recurring membership? As long as bonds stay at some reasonable price (random number: 8M) it's probably worth it to just buy a bond every two weeks instead of a subscription since I can make many multiples of 8M in that time. I'm seriously considering it.
  19. Man, look at all the sad kids that get to spend hours getting constitution, prayer, ranged, and lossless fletching xp for two lousy titles, while I got to run back and forth in the wilderness for ~12 hours to get mine. Not even mad.
