i've tried the whole ice in the middle thing, due to the fact they can shoot the whole map, but it "only" got me to round 73. i may try the same thing with green ones later, since they can still shoot quite a large range from the middle.

put a tower (green are the best generally, but the hardest to start with) at the end of one of the lines which the enemy will come along. upgrade it. keep upgrading it till its done. rinse, repeat. with the green ones, you have to get the upgrades costing 40 and 80 fast, because these actually make the tower WORSE per money spent.

i thought you meant the first "upgrade" rather than buying the tower..

i made it to 74 or 75 with 1 green tower and a few flower ones (maybe 6-8) i JUST found out ANOTHER mistake in the game.. the flowers only cost 2000, not 3000. the first upgrade is 5000 though. i tried the blue at the end of lines thing too, that got me to level 74 i think. getting the 15000 for the 2nd upgrade of flowers is the killer :-(

my brother got to 79. im going to try something else.. i really just want to find some way to save 23000... (though this would take from level 1-70 without spending anything) then the flower turrets 2nd upgrade is possible... and that should solve some problems.

interesting... i've gotta try that. also work out how to best use the flower towers. hmm flower towers are strange.. upgrades seem to REDUCE their range. (at first its 9090 damage or something, 150 range, next upgrade is 15k damage, 100 range. next upgrade claims to be 909090 damage or something ridiculous, with 90 range.

ive tried using exclusively fire, and got to round 60 exclusively ice got me to round 70 next = nature nature proves a problem at first. storm is funny.. managed to reach round 16 with just storms. they SUCK!

i just remembered a mod i used to have.. simpsons doom. all the monsters are replaced with simpsons characters, and most of the sounds too. (imps are Apu, and when they spot you they say something like "I do work in a convenience store you know") i think the cyberdemon was mr. burns and the spiderdemon was smithers or something. of course you play as homer. its hilarious in multiplayer deathmatch because everyone looks the same (no colour differences afaik) so you have no idea whos who. also had a WAD called dragon (i think).. a TINY deathmatch level, great fun for 4-player deathmatch, because you only ever need about 2 seconds to find someone :-)

i played the other 2, they were really good fun, so im going to try this 3rd one now, thanks for reminding me of it :-)

i agree on all accounts there i think :-) ethics does stand in the way sometimes, and if you look back at some very important/influential studies/experiments, quite a few of them are pretty unethical. (for example the Milgram Experiment) I am not saying that ethics are not very important, however. it should be the donors choice ofc...

I think learning about different religions (religious education, if you like) has somewhat of a place in schools, but it should be very closely observed to be unbiased. intelligent design/creationism is NOT science, should NEVER be tought as such, if anything this should be taught in RE as thats what it is.. a religious view, which IMHO was made up to try and provide a pseudo-scientific explanation which is close to evolutionary theory, but attracts people to a religion. religion has a place in society, but only as a social base and possibly for teaching morals, but the way in which it does these is poor, so i think it SHOULDNT really have place in society, but has some use. it can also cause "evil", however.

They can't, but it is so loosely enforced that practically everybody has more than one child in the countryside (in big cities it is hard to get away with it). They still prefer males because they are of actual use because they can work in the fields for long periods of time and have more chances of earning (honest) money. They just bribe the local officials who are just as poor as the citizens. ah yes i thought it was that they wernt allowed, but because of the "remoteness" of large areas of china, they can easily get away with it. i just heard differently recently, so i was unsure. regarding both india and china's preference for males: well i suppose that limits the potential population growth rate in a way.
