  1. And I thought I was the only one who remembered that thing. I'll get right on it tomorrow or the next day (depending on my VA appointments), Ma'am!
  2. Firstly, I always ask (nicely) if they will hop. If they say they will, I thank them for being courteous. If they say they won't, I focus on outdoing them or messing them up if it is possible. I don't hop, ever. If I am second to the goods, I ALWAYS hop unless it is something that my influence doesn't really effect (WCing for example). Say I have hopped through 20 worlds and finally find a hunter spot open. People appear and hop, or I ask them to and they do. About 10% of the time they refuse. So, I lay my traps on a spawn and only set them up if they fall over or capture something. Then I proceed to kill every single chin that spawns. After a couple minutes (one time was 2 hours!) they give up and hop after "Stupid noob!111!!!!" and I go back to hunting. There is simply no reason to be rude and whenever I get the chance, I try to assist people in realizing that fact. :-w
  3. Possibly the current champ, but I would bet that there are people who can afford to and ARE leaving it in for years for the shock value, hehe. If you look at my threads, you can tell I am a freak for odd things.
  4. First of all, I want to say that my name is in all caps because the first forum I ever entered had a limit of 9 letters (rahkurwrld is 10 ) and it was popular to bastardize names with random caps (rAHk, RAhk, rAhK, etc.) and the all caps fixed that, hehe. It is not some random ego boost thing, hehe. To those of you who don't know me: Howdy! I've played for a couple years but took a break during the college school year. I was a mod on tip for about a month before I took a break, hehe. To those of you who recognize my name or barely remember me: Umm... read above, hehe. To those of you who hate me:  Really? To the rest of you: I am finally back. Ended the year with a shameful 3.12 average, lol. Class is quite a bit harder when you have kids at home, hehe. Hope to see you in-game and cruising the forums. :) To everybody: Chat me up! I need to inject a couple internet buddies into my veins; I've been going through withdrawals, hehe. I left my subscription going the entire time. Mostly because I think Jagex deserves my $5 a month for spreading lots of inexpensive fun around. The other reason is, I wanted to get a big load of loot from Throne of Miscellania. I left it going for 6 (?) months, kept the coffers full (had to sell a santa at one point :( ), and kept the favor at about an average of 92%. Here are the results (which, if there is interest, I might calculate the "exact average" per 10% put on trees and herbs): 70% on herbs and 80% on maples, btw.* IDing all of those herbs took hours but finished off my herblore level, hehe. I calculated that I spent roughly 19mil, received about 39mil worth of items, for a rough (ROUGH!) profit of about 20mil. Pretty good for about 20 minutes of logging in, chopping, and logging out spread over 6 months, hehe. Makes up for the huge losses on santas -.- I had 2, bought 2 more at 26mil, and ended up eating 12mil worth #-o . At least I saved a loss of about 6mil by selling all of my armor off and rebuying it recently. Ended up in the black after 6 months, so I am happy. So, yeah. I left when hunter just came out. I've read most of the updates on the main site, but is there anything I should know now that wasn't there, hehe? All I have done is raise hunter a bit (HOLY HECK it is SO easy to level, lol) and train a couple levels. I kept my chat off the whole time since I didn't have much time and just wanted to relax, hehe. Anything new and revolutionary spring up off the main update pages? Well, I am glad to be back. I was told that I could have moderator back when I returned, but I want to see how things go first. My girls are older so my free time comes in random spurts. I'll leave my private chat open for a week or two so anybody who wants to chat can. That is all I have to say (yes I am still as long-winded as usual), see you 'scaping and tipiter...ing? -RAHK- EDIT: Somebody teach me all about that mini-game with the different classes (I said they should do that a year ago and they finally did WOOT). I tried playing once and got booted after the first room, lol. A chest piece with offensive stats?
  5. You'd need approximately 10m. Yeah that sounds right. Here are the probably the rock-bottom prices that you can get: Fire cape - "Quest" Rune defender - "Quest" "White" Prayer Armor - Quests and 40kish Dark Gloves - Questsssss and 130kish Rune Boots - 175kish Fury - 4.7milish Berserker Ring - 2.4milish Berserker Helm - 60kish Dds - 50kish Whip - 1.9milish So 9.455mil (ish :P ) is about the lowest this all goes for at the moment. 10mil and a ton of quests and "quests", though.

Not sure if there is another way to do it but I just had a friendly duel with somebody (no stakes). If you go to the wrong section of the duel arena, try turning obstacles on.
  7. The Rimmington general store usually has a lot as well. 12 gp each Willows are usually found along water. So, you can try south of Rimmington, south of Draynor, or along the Lumbridge river. I used to like to burn just south of Rimmington behind the archery store. Hope this helps Neat, never knew about the Rimmington one. Is there a long place to burn without having to run back and forth like Lumby? And 12gp is even cheaper than I thought, lol. Beats paying 25-45 ea, lol.
  8. Before I lock this (since it is answered) I just want to reitterate that this is the correct answer. The charges happen randomly and are really poor so don't bother trying to get a charged one.
  9. Or he can join first and level those things incredibly faster... If you have access to p2p there is no reason to stay f2p for a single second. Everything on p2p is better. For some people 5 dollars may be nothing, but for other people like me (and others) its alot of cash. Not everybody lives with the corrency at USA value. If it is going to break your bank, then of course you shouldn't. Eating > P2p :)
  10. I am not sure if you can Burthope crocs but if you can DO IT. They are pretty horrible without a cannon. The way you do that is by going to Burthope (northwest of fally a ways) and ask the slayer master for a new task.
  11. Get your best range offensive gear and go to the southeastern room of the Stronghold of Security (In barb village west of varrock). Range over the barricades and pick up all of the iron arrows they drop to use or sell.
  12. Buy willows on f2p worlds in the Lumby general store and burn them. Super cheap and fast. If you feel the need to cut wood, willows are faster for both per hour. Try draynor or just walk along the coast until you find a nice spot.
  13. ow, didn't know about the cooldown... Maybe the following then: Wear something with good prayer and Mage-bonus. Take a lot runes for multi-casting. (Ancients, duh). Furthermore, lots and lots of prayer pots. Go into the Abyss, pray from Melee, and start casting :) When you enter, your prayer will be reduced to 0, but you can pray in their with prayer pots! You get a fourth of the xp of normal in the abyss for the damage that you do. I know about that, but instead of 1 Monster, you hit like 6 or even more in 1 time, so that's profitable, and you can tahe the Essences and others... Edit: Onlmy read your message half... You get less exp every damage, but the total is lots more exp imo... It is still slower than many other methods and will therefore cost more as well. Bandits, dags, even rock crabs would be faster. Four times faster.
  14. I take my row off only when I need my rol (for new quests) or my ring of charos. I even do barrows with it, lol (no, it does NOT help, I just usually don't care to look for another ring and have no need for a rol). The slot is basically worthless for combat stats (+4 strength is maybe 2-3 damage extra in a single kill, which is likely not going to matter much) so you might as well take Jagex's advice and keep that badboy on.

  16. ^^^^ That and you can go to the southeastern room to safespot them. I hit like 6 of them once, kill them off, then switch sides to pick up all of the drops and take out all of the ones on the other side of the barricade. You can also stay in the northwestern rooms and just fish for trout and salmon for food since most of their drops are stackable. That way you won't waste time on bank trips while getting the fastest fishing xp for f2p.
  17. I hope that you are mining iron northeast of Yanille. :P Fastest bankable mining xp in the game. Run nats for cash (read the official Runes forums to find a host). CRAZY cash. :D
  18. Charge casts on yourself. It has also been nerfed. It was able to be repeatedly cast but now it has a 2-3 minute cooldown.
  19. Best xp choices: 1. Slayer 2. PC (in a clan/group) 3. Shades/Skeletons with salve amulet Best cash choices: 1. Green drags (wildy) 2. Fire giants 3. Hally at blue drags maybe? Just cruise the Runes forum and run nats for people for cash. You can sometimes find people trading double back for ess. That is WAY more cash than you would get from killing any npc over time.
  20. Or he can join first and level those things incredibly faster... If you have access to p2p there is no reason to stay f2p for a single second. Everything on p2p is better.
  21. Post count doesn't matter. :) The absolute fastest is casting your highest leveled multi-target ancient spell in one of two places. Your house: Get at least 9 friends in their worst magic defense (rune armor for example) and have them stand in a 3x3 grid. Cast it on the middle guy. When somebody dies they should run back. To decrease retargetting, have the highest defense and magic leveled person stand in the middle with their best magic defense gear. You will get slightly less xp per hour (say you hit him 25% of the other 8 guys so that is something like 6-7% loss of xp) but you won't be smoking your auto-cast target every three seconds. Have him pray as well. To get this to work, you can ask friends to alch in your house or you can use some of your cash and pay people to stand there. Your best choice would be somebody with level 1 defense, level 1 magic, and 99 hp if you could find 8 of them, lol. Oh, and drink some mage pots and pray. Pest Control: Get in a good clan and go crazy on the portals/beasties that spawn with your best ancient spells. Pray and drink mage pots. There is no way to get magic xp faster than either of these two. I would say that they are fairly equal but leaning in favor of your house. There is also no way to blow cash as fast on training mage either, lol.
  22. Don't let people tell you that you are not good enough to be a member, lol. Everything in members is faster, better, and makes you more cash. I became a member with horrible skills and a teeny combat level (in the teens I believe) and look at me now. :P But seriously, if you can afford it, do it. :D
  23. Your best option would be to level fishing and raise cash independently. Lets say you fish lobs and get (totally random number) 10k xp an hour and 50k an hour. Fishing trout/salmon is easily double the xp so that means you will send half as long training it. Take all of that time and run airs for 150kish an hour on world 16 and you will end up with the same amount of time spent, the same amount of xp gained, and somewhere around 3 times the cash. In almost all situations you will be more efficient by raising your xp in the fastest manner (fly fishing in barb, cooking, and dropping/donating/banking if you must) and raising cash in the fastest manner seperatly. I am fishing shark until I get a big one and then never touching them again. Most of my levels are from fly fishing in shilo and barb. The rest is monks.
  24. That was one of maybe 3 quests where I almost died. Well, one of those three I ACTUALLY died and lost a lot (to me at the time). It was that troll quest where the guy switches between range and melee. I was lagging so bad that my switches were always ending up on the opposite side. I left melee protect on and just ate and ate without attacking trying to get more than half xp and he still wiped the floor with me, lol. I haven't done a quest since without a teleport. :-w During Haunted Mines I was doing fine against him (60-70ish combat I think) with a dds but two really bad things happened. One, I got stuck in one of the carts some how and couldn't move while it thrashed my hp with ones, lol. I ate nearly my whole inventory before it finally let me free. Two, I brought a glory for my teleport. I ran around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to get the dang window to pop up long enough for me to tele. Made it with LITERALLY 2hp, lol. Then I was hit by poison. Naw, that would have really sucked though, lol. I returned and took him out by dds speccing him and standing in a "safe" area (no carts/cranes) when he was too far away. Took most of a load of lobs but I was never in any risk. The poison probably did half the damage for me, lol. I wasn't about to get stuck in a cart again. :x If you are having trouble, just bring your best plate, best legs, dds, and lots of shark. If you die, oh well just return. Seems rather unlikely that you would have to try that more than one or two times. Good luck to those who haven't done it yet! :D
