Do you put yourself or someone else first?
If I ever put another before me it would still be for a selfish reason, if I somehow got more out of making them happy.

What is more important to you safety or freedom?
That's what I just said three posts up :P . The people who can't handle complete freedom would destroy themselves, and all the rational human beings (about 20 people I suppose) who don't need laws to stop them from doing wrong will live in a free society.

Celebrating my 2 year anniversary with Tip.it
Anyone else have all their private messages still saved from the time this forum opened? I know there is a limit, and those of you who message a lot probably can't. I've kept everyone of mine, filled up 39% so far. Anyways, I was looking through them, and on Sept. 17, 2004 I got a message from Zezima, telling me to call him a noob. Back when I used to play he was number one and everyone knew him, I haven't played in a while so I don't know if he is "known" anymore. Kind of cool to look back two years and see what I was doing :D .

What is more important to you safety or freedom?
That pretty much sums up my viewpoint. I am for complete freedom. Haven't had a good political discussion in a while, lets see if I'm up for it. :D

The Great Sig & Profile Stealnage Thread
Yeah, I've been looking at names all the time the past 2 days, I was very confused at first. Sigs and avatars mean a lot more than I would ever think they would... It will probably be even more confusing when everything goes back to normal next tuesday :P

The Great Sig & Profile Stealnage Thread
You had me thinking I was insane (as in crazy, not the person :P ) yesterday. I was up till about 1:15 in the morning refreshing the forum constantly waiting for replies about what was going on. I thought I was the only one who saw it.

The Mars Volta
As far as I know not only are they popular, they already past their "high point." Deloused was great, and people started to notice them. By the time Frances came out they were pretty famous. That was the only album I've ever went to the store and bought on the day it came out, I really liked them.

Favorite Literature Quotes/Excerpts
Logic's quote is from Good Will Hunting, as he said. Matt Damon is the one who says it, and he does a damn good job of it. But anyways, is this topic supposed to include movie quotes? I know we've got a few, I was just wondering. There is already a topic about Movie quotes in M&M, so it seems to me like this should just be from novels and the like. Having said that, my favourite quote would have to be John Galt's speech in Atlas Shrugged. I didn't post it here for the simple fact that it is 80+ pages long, but it is all one speech, with no interuptions. That counts as a quote, right?

The value of a promise.
I can't recall off the top of my head ever saying "I promise" to anyone. Maybe that means I value it highly, or not at all. I don't really know. :P

Who used to see Runesmithie as a girl?
Haha, that's awesome :P

Who used to see Runesmithie as a girl?
My head asplode! EDIT: I really thought I was going crazy there for a second, so I guess runesmithie is in on it also?

Who used to see Runesmithie as a girl?
So you see it too? Read my post a few above, the off topic part. I have more to add: Apinagez and runesmithie both have the same quote in their sig, even though smithie has deloria's picture. Smithy also has a link to someone's deviantart page, but it is no one in this topic.

Who used to see Runesmithie as a girl?
I don't think I ever thought he was a girl, maybe at one time but it would have to have been so long ago I don't remember (with my memory I guess that really could mean as recently as two weeks ago :P ). And a little off topic, am I missing something between runesmithie and thedepressed squirrel? I can't tell if they are mad or are joking, I think runesmithie is joking but squirrel isn't. That has me a little confused. What confuses me even more is peoples' avatars and sigs. For some reason, runesmithie has thedepressedsquirrels' avatar, and deloriagods' sig. And apinagez has mypurplecrayons avatar. It is seriously freaking me out, and I don't think I'm going crazy, so someone please tell me I'm not the only one seeing this  .

Parent riled up over Fahrenheit 451
This fits the definition of irony perfectly.

Could you take anothre person's life?
No, probably not. Just because I am a very poor shot with a pistol, so I would probably miss :D

US legalizes some torture, overturns hab.corp.?
Not usually, but in the case we may let it slide :P . Reminds me of the "Change the flag" episode of South Park, they didn't want the KKK siding with them :D

Earth really is pathetically small...
Really? They say that? :-s Yeah, but they never mean it. Think of how big humans are compared to the Earth, then look at all those again. We are really, really, really small :P . You can get good, high quality images of space a lot of places, but this is one of my favourites: 2MASS Showcase. Look at the first picture, the picture of the Milky Way, how many stars are in it. Then look at the next picture, which is of the local universe. Everything you saw in the first picture is one dot on the second image  .

President Bush Fired Colin Powell
Neither. He doesn't like political parties. It's not entirely a joke either. He said if enough people want him to, he will actually run. It started as a joke, but has picked up a lot of people...

Not your average favourite cartoon topic!
thanks dude but stay on topic. O:) Took me a second to get that  . The list also lists movies too, that seems kind of odd to me. I don't really think that's a good way to make a list, but I guess they are technically all cartoons.

Celebrating my 2 year anniversary with Tip.it
A lot of the people with joined dates around june-july of 2004 were "here" a lot longer than that. The forums were Scapeboard back then, and were hosted somewhere else. Are there any archival websites out there that may have archived a part of Scapeboard? I would like to see when I actually did join, I know I lurked for quite a while, still it would be nice to see.

Anyone noticed?
Yeah, I remember the day "Bob Marley" took over our boards. Sucks that we weren't allowed to keep the database, I would have liked to look back on the good old days.
