ive liked jason lee ever since i saw mallrats (was he in clerks? i dont remember if he was...) but ive only seen about half an episode of this show. pretty funny, what i saw.

ive also read that 5 to 6 is all you really need, and it doesnt help anything sleeping more. that 8 hour sleep a day thing is just something someone started saying, and everyone picked up.

not my second favorite movie for nothing 8) . My Big Fat Independent Movie - for those of you who have seen scary movie, this movie is doing the same things, just with independent movies. did i mention it is a comedy? if youve seen it before, you may be suprised that it is called a comedy. the jokes are stupid, the acting isnt the good make fun of somebody stuff, its more or less crap. it was also pretty boring, the only thing that kept me interested was noticing all the movies it was spoofing. the only things i didnt get were the "my big fat greek wedding" references, and who jonny vince was. those were the only two movies i missed, i think. if youve ever seen this movie before, it would be cool if you knew what they were spoofing with that jonny vince character, and people who have not seen this movie may know what im talking about, there is some guy in a trunk of a car called steve who is injured, and i know ive seen it before. i just cant think of what it was. anyways, if you watch a lot of independant films, its kind of cool to watch this and see what ones they spoof. if you are looking for a movie to enertain you or make you laugh or make you think or do anything to you at all, dont watch it.

*Hi fives* Oblivion is going to be brilliant... It will steal my life. :shock: i need to get my wisdom teeth pulled out, im trying to get it set up so i get the operation 2 days before oblivion comes out. that way, i could be healed enough to be comfortable, but i wont have to work for a few more days. if i can get a few 14 hour days of playing in, then the main rush will be over to the point were ill be satisfied with only 6 or 7 hours of playing. im also researching how to sleep better so i only have to sleep 5 or 6 hours a night, that would give me 2 or 3 more hours of play time.

it was on... tonight? i thought i read that it was tommorow, and i thought that was why they were doing a repeat of lost. oh well, i guess i missed it live, is there anywhere to download it?

yeah, and its really fun too. if you are just looking for the rome stuff that would be cool, but a better turn based strategy is civ 4.

havent had the sig i have for a year for nothing, ive been waiting for oblivion for quite some time.

21 Grams - if you really pay attention then you can figure it all out fairly early in the movie, i figured it out around 1/3rd of the way through. i watched it with a friend who gets confused if the plots thicker than fantastic four or spiderman, so he was complaining the whole time, kind of ruined the movie a bit. but i still really enjoyed the movie a lot, and its cool how everything kind of comes together in the end. Seven Samurai - ranked number 5 of all time on imdb, and its number two in the criterion collection. basis for ever magnificent seven movie/tv show (there are a few i know of at least). so the question is, why does this movie suck? the acting i would say was horrendous by everyone except for the seven samurai, and theirs would be really bad at times even. the storyline is ok, nothing really special about it. it did seem like it was filmed fairly well, different shots for different purposes, pretty good. the fighting was horrendous too though, and thats what the majority of the last half of the movie was. so many stupid things going on in the big battle (the bandits running into town the same way three times, everytime 1 or two make it in and then get slaughtered, yet they keep on trying it). then at the final batlle, only 13 bandits left, and it looks like only a few villagers and one or two samurai are dead. no bandits in their right mind would have kept on trying, they would have just looted someplace easier. and why was the movie 3 hours and 20 minutes long? kept on dragging on, and on, and on... i bought it in a 4 movie criterion collection box set, with three of his other movies (hidden fortress, yojimbo, and sanjuro are the others) and i know those are on the top 250 on imdb also, so hopefully those are slightly enertaining. one good thing about seven samurai was it was kind of funny at places, normally when it wasnt supposed to be. when they were trying to be funny it was about half the time, but never during the whole movie would you laugh out loud. i suggest watching it, it gets so many good reviews and everything, but i didnt like it at all.

last weeks episode was different i think than the others, if youve seen it, read on. if you havent: ****SPOLIERS**** most episodes finish off the characters story with them learning something about themselves, and most things working out for them. example off the top of my head, jack letting boone to just go ahead and die, instead of trying to cut off his leg and everything. this week, charlie keeps on digging a deeper ditch with claire, and everyone else, to the point that locke even gives up on him. halfway through the episode i was sure he was going to die saving the baby, but i guessed wrong on that. i still see them getting rid of him soon, maybe he wants off the show. they threw in that part with locke saving the statues just in case charlie stays, i think. although the drug thing is getting a little old, as are some of the other stories. (ok, jack doesnt like failing, we get it already). i cant remember the previews for next week, can anyone fill me in? ****/SPOLIERS**** @jetman: you should probably put a spoiler warning in your post this is still just a generic lost thread, so you have people reading that dont even have season two yet.

*the professional is my second favorite movie* vertigo was pretty good, and so is north by northwest. but if you like hitchcock movies, you definently have to watch the lady vanishes. that is easily his best.

the objectives for taxes are for the rich politicians to get richer, the benefit of mankind is their excuse. i dont see why you say that kid has no choice but to steal, what about the person he is stealing from? is the owner the robbers slave, working just to have it all taken from him? maybe if there were less economic restrictions in your countries more buisnesses would open up there. the economic climate is the way it is because its not worth opening up a buisness anymore, with the costs so high and the payoff too little. if their are no jobs around where you are, go somewhere else. or dont work, and starve to death. personally, i wouldnt mind moving. united states, with 9 times the popluation of canada, has around 750,000 homeless. canada has around 200,000. we are 1,050,000 short of having the same amount per capita. isolationistic? where does that come in? i dont believe in any immigration laws at all, mexican, canadian, japanese is a stupid way to look at people. people are people. if they want to come here, fine. ill agree completely with the selfish part. the thing is, i dont share the view that selfishness is bad. just because some book 2000 years old tells you selfishness is bad is a stupid reason to follow that view. i dont know what superfluous means, so i wont say anything about it. umm, did i miss something? neither of my jobs are corporation jobs. one is a non-profit organization, the other is a family owned buisness. i get paid pretty much what the jobs are worth, there are millions of other people who could do both just as good or better than me. if i didnt get paid enough, i wouldnt work there :D

What the hell evil state do you live in? Texas is the * Tax state and ours is barely 15%. Most of that money should be going to your Social Security fund...you will be getting that money back when you are 60. So, if you do get to keep your tax money, are you going to be donating to the poor and the needy? I doubt it. maybe you dont work, but total taxes taken out of your paycheck is usually around 33% (federal, state, local). so i have to pay into something that wont be around when i am older, when i could use that same money now to invest in my own way and make a lot more? no, i will not. they dont deserve money. you can donate if you want to, but they dont deserve anything. thats why they call it a donation. i dont give a crap about poor and needy, they should just go get a job.

Meh. I was gonna post a really long reply to this but its so idiotic i just cant be bothered wasting my energy on someone who is so ignorant on real life. my real life situation right now: working 40 hours a week ar one job, getting $237.81, when it should be $320. working second job 10 hours a week, getting $100 or so check every two weeks. should be about $130, but alas, taxes. been working since about this time last year on some work at home stuff, that never got taxed, until now. i owe $750. im also a full time student at a local college. my dad just found out he hasnt had any taxes taken out for the city all year, he owes $10,000. so i think no, i am not ignorant on real life, at least not with taxes. i also see 75% of the students i go to college with go for free because they "cant afford" to pay for it, so my taxes do. i also see those same people drive their expensive cars, wear theit expensive clothes, and a few of them are even on unemployment. (wore my "work harder, millions of people on welfare depend on you" shirt the otherday, thats how i know. they didnt like it)

God forbid we have more money for healthcare, social security and education. god forbid i get to keep what i earn and spend it how i please, instead of getting it stolen by the government and given to people who are more "needy" than i am. we pay about 33% in taxes, which is 33% to much. i dont think my money should be stolen from me and then dividided out to programs however some corrupt polititian thinks it should. let me keep my 33% and spend it how i think i should.

|\ | | i want to hear more about munich and underworld evolution, if you guys dont mind :P since the last time i posted movies the only thing ive managed to watch is the first half of seven samurai. maybe it being number 5 on imdb's list made me think it was going to be a spectacular movie, because so far ive been very let down. style wise and film wise it seems pretty good (for the time), but i dont think the actors are any good in it. the seven are ok, but the villagers absolutely suck. didnt seem like they were in horrible peril at all, looked just like they were complaining. oh well, once i get around to watching the second half (3 hour long movie, i dont have that much time anymore), ill edit it in to this.

i find the not so serious stuff funny, and therefore more enertaining. the only seroius song i really like is stan, the one where he sings with sir elton john is awesome.

actually the first time i saw the movie i wondered why she was cursing in german, i never really noticed she was german (before i watched or even knew about run lola run). i guess she had an accent, but it wasnt very much. that was the point of the movie...
