..actually my first board was a 25% wal-mart Mongoos board, it had everything a normal board would have.. its just not brand name i understand some of them are cheap and have plastic bearings :uhh: i have skated with one of them before, they are not as bad as they seem, just loosen the trucks and stuff and you have a good beginners board. But Im glad i went through two 25$ boards before making my custom 170$ board :) if i went straight to that i would have had it all chipped, and would of ended up buying another one.

I like reading that type of stuff, some of it really makes you wonder whats REALLY out there... not something i would do for a living, but its enjoyable to read... better than watching reality TV ;)

*see Bolded That is how it works.. If you look at a star that is say, 5 light years away, that light your seeing when your out in your yard at night is 5 years old, you ARE seeing the past. Some of the photographs the hubble telescope has taken are older than you probably... Like it may have caputured a nova or something that was 10-15 light-years away, and when that light hit the telescope it was 10-15 years old. therefore what happen 10-15 years ago, is what the telescope sees 10-15 years later... if that makes any sense.

Not to be rude, but its TOO basic in my opinion... Something like that can be accomplised in photoshop with the shape tool + gradient. Keep it up though, its a good start. --Next time maby make something more detailed? make the sword model bigger... add some incrested jewels or ornamental things. --another note - this render is REALLY small so the blade, on my screen anyway, looks flat, maby make a bigger render/picture? -goodluck.

With the scopes' we have today we can see features im sure of even pluto. --you look around the net and see pictures of galaxies, gas clouds, and other planets hundreds of light years away. Im not an astrologist, but im sure what you see that I bolded is not true.

Since when have we sent probes to 200 planets to see if there is intelligent life?

sigh..... Nirvana DID NOT create grunge. That goes to The Melvins, and even Kurt claimed that he DIDN'T create the grunge genre. honestly, i can understand why he killed himself, he didnt want to be a part of the whole MTV Genre, as all of the bands he claimed influence from, were ignored by his fans as they worshiped him. i actually kinda respect him for that, as he showed that he didnt want to be a god, (and he also got the melvins signed to Atlantic :-$) Courtney Did it.. lol i got the large brick wall smiley sig with it so I had to laugh... But as i said, Courtney ahd a good reason to kill him, but he had a good reason to kill himself. i think someone should start a thread to debate this though. Dont go to brand-name boards right away... go to wal-mart and buy a generic one, they are cheap, and good enough to practice on... once you feel your ready step it up to pro-boards (Element, Flip, Habitat) ect... As for learning ollies ect... done go for that right away... try some basic manuvers like manuals and things that test your balance and train your "inner gyro" as i like to call it. Once you've dont that it will make it ALOT easier to ollie... it will make it so you lift off with balance, and land with balance. Some minor tips -keep ur shoulders level with the board. -Rear foot on the tail, front foot right behind the front trucks. ---Snap your back foot and make the tail of the board "smack" the ground and lift ur front foot in the process. For extra height use your back foot like a spring, and launch your self (jump) at the same time, keep level and slightly move your front foot forward and land. --good luck, it takes time.

What you can do is go to google video, or youtube and look for a video you dont really need STOCK footage, in school it will be acceptable as long as you cite your source and give credit where its due.
