Well what you say about F2P being more "screwed" is partially true, you mention the fact that you won't get improvements after this but it seems like summoning (at least partially) is just around the corner for you?... And apart from that, P2P is off a lot worse because in P2P you have to do A LOT more of lending trading and working together for some of the harder aspects in there, it used to be great fun to go kill certain monsters together and helping each other out when needed or just give certain items away because certain players needed them more then you... Thinking of that, I just remembered that I can't even share out freshly made addy thingies to newbies anymore :S bummer... And yeah, P2P will get game improvements and updates and quests and everyone, and I don't think I have to repeat the reason for that which has been said by a million players before me ^^ Price controlling: I'm completely with you on this one, I loved to analyze the market because it's (even though it's just a little bit) similar to the real world stock market. And I used to make money out of it, like when sharks had been pushed down to 500 by autoers and I got notice of Jagex starting to take action against them, I invested 25mill in sharks then, which I sold only a month later for their full original price giving me a 25mill profit ^^ So yeah, I totally hate the fact that things like these had to be lost to achieve their goal =(=( Ohw and even though we can look down on f2pers, which is not even fun -.-, that doesn't mean our game hasn't still been dealt an enormous blow and gives like 5% the enjoyment it used to give me. I mean I am HONESTLY asking the few friends that still play RS if they know something fun for me to do.... Like the letter to the editor said, RS is pretty much dead for me :( ...Silver24-7

I expect rares to drop for a bit more untill people have all the money they need to buy items for summoning lvling fast and easily and be with the first to high summoning lvls :P Then afterwards, since summoning is very unlikely to be a money remover, money that was dumped at people supplying summoning powerlvlers will start being spent on rares as they are at an all time low and many relatively low lvled people will be wanting to own one of these cool and exclusive hats as well which the next gen of players will never be able to afford once other interested players start causing prices to go back up in the 20million again ^^ So after all of that they will just start slowly rising by few of them being lost, especially since other people cant pick them up anymore if anything happens to the owner, and new people entering wanting to own such an exclusive item ^^

OK, I'm finally getting 99 mage and cooking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ohnoes: In 3 hours from now !!!!!!!!!!! at 4 pm GMT+1 so thats 16:00 hours in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin etc. I will be getting both 99 cooking and 99 magic with a few friends. This is 3 pm GMT btw for english and canarian people. The only reason that really makes you quit is finding rs boring... How to find rs boring? Start to see every new update as a negative addition that you'll never do. Another option is starting to train mining to lvl 99 or something? For me it just happened, on a certain moment I didnt find RS challenging anymore, I had completed most of the goals I had put for myself. And I just stopped playing from 1 day on another. Now I only play very scarcely, to check out some new updates or sometimes to actually do some training or pking, which is impossible now... But I had already quit before that... So yeah, try to find RS boring and you'll quit without even noticing it XD

There are plenty of reasons why JaGEx HAD to kill the botting and RWT and if you look around these boards and the runescape website you'll find them. You might have your doubts about how they did it, just like I do, but the fact that id had to be done can't be denied.

add me lol, most of my original friends were pking mates or cool people from tipit and after only playing a few weeks in 1 year most of them moved on, or removed me or still talk to me every day ^^ But it would be nice to have some more people to talk to in my list :)

Oh boy, when I finished reading your post my first intentions were to post a reply flaming you from any and all sides of your little post here. Then I decided not to out of respect for a long time active member of this community. So I'll just leave it at constructive criticism: Next time you try to sum up the positive and negative sides of an update, please test if whatever you mention is really true. Because your side effects, and I won't even say which ones because it's nearly all f them, make no sense, and most of them aren't even really the way you state them to be. Just a sample of a side effect you could've ruled out by logic thought, this update was made to make RWT impossible, which means there would be no more use for bots, which also means that there would be no more use for green dragon autoers to walk around killing greens, if they didn't get killed by revenants already that is... Try and look into those things and maybe make a new topic with accurate info, because I actually do think that a topic including at least a few positive effects might be nice for a change, even though I couldn't think of any right now, except for the obvious (attempt of) removal of the bots and RWT... lol? Seriously, LAKS aren't students, they're scholars. And those kiddos skipping class have nothing to do with the LAKS either, at least LAKS knows what they're talking about. wow :o That sounds like it might just be correct, seeing all new skills ended in some sort of catastrophe. heya, and yeah you do have my rune plate lol XD That was a pretty big server crash while we were both at rune rocks and me with a bunch of alchs on me to do XD I made it out fine though, had to scare some noob little ranger away with a few zammy flames and then no one else bothered me on my way out. Well my magic and cooking are so close to their lvls that I really can't wait to just get them. o I've decided to get them on Friday, November 30th at 17:00 GMT+1 So thats 16:00 in England and 17:00 in Holland. It won't be a big party really :P Not like when I got 94 magic, which was huge and totally crazy and near impossible to manage and control too... Instead it will just be a small party, probably at my house, I'll tell the few good friends I still seen in RS the time and place, and apart from them anyone who reads this can come :D Please don't go inviting your own friends who I don't know and never visit this blog anyway though. Went to wilderness with the friend who introduced me to runescape. Of course you can understand what happened next.... :mrgreen: Anyways he was telling me that all the items I had were worthless anyways and that I shouldn't keep them, I always wanted to be a mage anyway (I believe I had seen a little pk vid showing a mage earning millions just after teleblock had been put in :twisted: ) so he taught me how to make runes and buy cheap runes from the shops (waaaay before the lame update that changed everything, lol) and I just continued maging from then on :P Become a very dangerous character in that place that caused my first death. I remember showing that friend my first maged full rune pk at lvl 50 combat :twisted: I've been a mage pker ever since ...Silver24-7

I think I have 5 santas, after spending 7+mill on getting a greater magic cage and the rest of it on alchs for my 99 mage :P Ohw and I just got 98 mage this afternoon so sorry cent :( Don't worry though, you'll be in the 99 one ;) I don't think my 99 party will be nearly as big as my 94 though, even though it will be a 99 magic and cooking party at once, lvling both skills in one action ^^ Anyways my exams didn't go as I'd hoped, passed one with ease, failed another one by ONE #@$%ING DECIMAL and failed another one which I had expected to fail already. Ohw and the free time came from the weekends which are spent uselessly behind the TV, PC or usefully drinking lots of beers O:) So I only have to do another 18.5K alchs to get from 98 to 99 now :-w Something to do in a day or maybe 2 right \ ? Hey all, well, the monitor is still broken but I bought myself a nice new 19" widescreen to replace it ^^ And I still haven't received the results of my exams but I'm expecting to have passed 2 out of 3, and that last one will be a fairly easy resit. About the santa's, they've been going pretty steady lately because jagex is continuosly thinking of ways to take money out of the economy (one of them being banning macroers carrying millions) I expect them to rise before christmas, then take a quick dip somewhere between just before christmas and january, after which they will probably start rising again untill after summer. I've been alching a lot lately and I'm getting close to 98 magic right now, I'll post my 97 magic pic in a while, and I hope to be able to post a 99 magic one not much later ;) I'll cy'all ...Silver24-7
