  1. If mage is going to become a preferred means of pking in PvP worlds then surely that will make runecrafting more profitable with crafting deaths and bloods?
  2. I know what you're saying, I love new socks too. aye  new socks are sswweeeeeeeett New socks are great, until you're walking across a wooden floor and you realise the inevitable face plant is about to happen, or is that just me?
  3. Lead singer of the band "Paramore". I thought the same as Dreamton when I saw the picture. Pretty cool hair :D
  4. Let's not get too dramatic :P It's only flu really, it has a lower mortality rate than normal flu (at least it was when I last heard) and British scientists are getting close to being able to create an actual vaccine for it. The real threat to us is man-flu. Now that's dangerous :ohnoes:
  5. Ok granted but the one that I reported it to was based and Ireland and they say; So whoever/whatever your reporting it to may be able to pass it onto the appropriate people. Ah, I guess it makes sense that they would pass it on to the appropriate people. It's one of those things I wouldn't feel comfortable reporting though because the police may not believe you just came across it if it was found on the internet.
  6. It's an interesting question. My first reaction would be to report it to the police, however if it is on a site that isn't based in the UK then there would be nothing they could do about it. Other than that I wouldn't really know what to do and would probably Google it. I had a similar dilemma last year and ended up decided to phone Canadian authorities from England which was a lot of hassle and I'm not even sure if they dealt with it in the end. I guess it's one of those things that you can't exactly prepare yourself for and you don't get taught or told what to do. Will be interesting to see what other's think.

English is my first language, I can converse in French and read it, but I can't write it. I also speak bits of Welsh 8-) and Dutch which I am trying to get around to teaching myself.
  8. I'm off to the exotic locations of Edinburgh and Inverness in Scotland for a week at the end of July and I'm going to Cardiff and Brecon in Wales at some point too. I live a really jet-set life style 8-)
  9. Watched the whole series and went into watching the final knowing Kate would win as she'd barely put a foot wrong and Yasmina only scraped through against Debra. My belief Kate would win was confirmed when Yasmina made some terrible chocolates, had a terrible advert and did a poor presentation. Then SA announced that Yasmina had won and I was stunned! Kate had been better for the whole series aside from the task where they were up North and on the night had delivered better than Yasmina so I was a bit confused. Either way they would have both done well if they didn't win. Still think Debra should have got to the final and won though!
  10. I get those too and this year was the first year since having asthma I decided not to get the flu jab because it seemed like more trouble than it was worth, whoops. Anyway on topic I think it would be pretty difficult to force people to have vaccinations but I think more emphasis should be placed on getting them. You can't exactly throw someone in prison for refusing to have needles put in them.
  11. I've heard the opposite, just that Swansea is a bit of a dump. Turns out you have to have been living in the UK for 3 years before you can gain any financial support from the government for University studies. At least that's what I understood when I applied for student finance for my second year. Here's a link to information about being an international student in the UK: http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/student/fees_s ... upport.php
  12. Couldn't this guy technically apply for citizenship and no longer be an "international student?" Would probably be a pain in the [wagon] because I'm not sure how the UK does citizenship, but it beats paying 10,000 pound in tuition. In order to get a loan to pay tuition fees etc so have to have been living in the UK for a certain amount of years (I think it is 5, but I don't remember) and that, combined with the cost of living would make it expensive. Also if you went to a University near London it would be even more expensive. Personally I think that unless you find a way to get funding for it then it isn't worth the expense.
  13. If you don't plan to game at all and want to spend the money then they are pretty good. I use a 15" MBP for University and have no problems with it at all. You can get Office etc for Macs, however Open Office is a perfectly good substitute and is compatible with MS Office. The only problems you may run into are if your course requires/advises you to have some very specific software as usually it is Windows only. It is all down to personal preference really, Windows and Mac both have their advantages and disadvantages and neither OS is better than the other, however I'm sure someone will come along and say "lol Mac" or "lol Windows" at some point.
  14. It would be pretty cool if it was all a joke and that all the news websites and news reporters were lying. :D But I doubt it. I still reckon it's a joke from Microsoft. But we shall see! If it isn't it makes my Mac seem that little bit more worth the money :P
  15. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18/20090401/twl-conficker-worm-digs-in-around-the-wo-2802f3e.html Sounds like an April Fools Joke to me after reading the second paragraph.

Once you've had a few too many to drink maybe :P
  17. Me and a few friends were going to go to Reading, but the line-up isn't good enough to warrant spending nearly £200 in my opinion, and like angryjoe said the drink and food prices in there will be epic. Maybe next year. The V Festival line up looks pretty good on the other hand, though I'm away when that happens :wall:

Cascada (Most well known for "Everytime We Touch") and I suppose Sash! (Raindrops) could be counted in that too.
  19. I find mint chewing gum seems to keep me calm, no idea why it just does. I agree with Wongtong about hitting inanimate objects, the harder the object the better because it hurts and you learn your lesson :P Unless pain makes you angry...then don't.
  20. To allow for people to watch it who didn't get up at 6am BST to watch it or those who forgot to record it. It is a little unnecessary though as they don't do it for most other sporting events.
  21. Making a public post about it wont help anything. Best thing to do is to contact an administrator with your complaint.
  22. After going to bed at 3am I set my alarm for 6am to get up and watching it thinking I would be watching a great race with lots of overtaking. Instead I watched a race in which two cars did most of the overtaking (Trulli and Hamilton) and that was only because they started out of position. Brawn's rivals in Ferrari, Kubica and Vettel failed to finish so it was a bit of an anti-climax, especially with a safety car finish. I am glad Button won though, he deserved it after sticking with Honda for so long despite having such a terrible car with them for two seasons. Hamilton could yet be the winner of the race though if the rear diffusers on the Brawns, Toyotas and Williams' are deemed illegal in a couple of weeks.
  23. Buy most of my clothes from Quiksilver, Animal, Republic/USC or sometimes Next. I always like a good bargin, but if I see something I really want I will generally buy it. Being a student now generally means that the sale rail is the first place I go \ I never buy clothes online as I prefer to try them on because shops sizes seem to vary, ie in Animal for T-Shirts I am a small but in Quiksilver I am a medium.

  25. Scotland is a great country and I do wish I was born Scottish. So much they do is surrounded in tradition, for example Hogmanay whereas in places like England a lot of the tradition is gone. There is also a different sense of patriotism in Scotland, it is kind of hard to explain but in certain countries people are 'patriotic' just for the sake of having something to shout about whereas in countries like Scotland, Wales and France they seem genuinely proud of their nationality. I'm not sure which country I would give an ode to, maybe Iceland.
