Easily, they aren't too dangerous really. Just take Torag's and some food and you'll be fine :^_^:

**New Quest - Rune Mechanics**
Finally. What was the problem with Macs? The only problem I have experienced is unless I quit FF after every time I play RS, RS cannot be played in HD and starts to lag in SD more and more until I quit FF.

**New Quest - Rune Mechanics**
No because it's a members quest according to the URL. JagEx have removed the RSOF discussion topic so I guess they might have made a mistake there

**New Quest - Rune Mechanics**
It's not related to the new skill as the quest is members so says the URL. This could well take us to the 300 QP mark though so if it does it will hopefully be an awesome quest

**New Quest - Rune Mechanics**
Good find. I guess we're about to get the ability to craft Soul Runes then :^_^: Fits the "Variety of Life" Twitter clue as well.

LOCK please.
With there being only one topic on the RSOF I am inclined to think it's a hoax and nobody but the OP and their friend has claimed to have seen this "Tiana" so far, coincidence? Probably just someone wanting to drive up seed prices or something.

29-Jan-2010 - RuneScape Machinima Competition 2
Now that is a reward that has got me interested  Might give it a go just for the laughs and possibility of winning a lifetime of RS membership :^_^: They don't actually define "lifetime" though, could mean until your character dies in RS :P

28-Jan-2010 - RuneScape Q&A Mark Gerhard Answers
I love hearing an englishman say the word runescape I can say it for you if you'd like, also the christmas card competition video if you go to 1:06 Paul_M does say "Machinima Competition starting in January" so I only suspect the Orb of Oculus (I don't know the spelling so I usually say Orb of Octopus) will launch at the same time :) I could say it too if you want :P And hmm, but smelly if you look it's already the 28th of January here in Lampeter and at home in Hereford (dunno about where in the UK you are ;p) so it wont be this month. hehe kinda obvious Wow you are very close to me when I'm at Uni, are you at Uni in Lampeter? :o Anyway OT: It's not really MMG's place to tell us details of what is going to be released in RS since while he's the CEO he isn't in charge of Content. It would be like the owner of TIF telling everyone what the Crew or TET had planned for the coming months. Delighted to hear that the new skill is not sailing or necromancy though and that nobody has come close with guesses that they have seen, means it should be quite a nice surprise :^_^:

Iron Dragons
Kuradal's dungeon, no question really. +4 damage really is a lot. Personally against Steel and Iron Dragons I use the following: Slayer Helm Prostelyte Top and Legs Soul Wars Cape > Ardy 3 Cape > God Cloak Ferocious Ring Dragon Boots DFS > Anti-Dragon Shield Amulet of Fury And I use the Leaf-Bladed Sword as metal dragons are week to stab attacks, though you could do alright with a whip. Have a Super Attack and Strength in your inventory, some Prayer Potions, 2 sharks just in case, couple of anti-fire pots and a BoB for the bones. Pray protect from Melee and if you can, pray Piety as it saves time and money (I have found using Piety against metal dragons to be cheaper than not doing in prayer pots because it's pretty slow even with 99 attack other wise). I know not everyone has that kind of stuff, but you should aim to maximise your prayer with minimal impact on your Strength bonus. Hope this helps!

Multi-coloured whips
Whips have already fallen to close to their price before the colour update so it was only a temporary price hike, unfortunately  As was said they can't be traded coloured, and even if they could be anyone could change the colour so there would be no difference in price.

Jagex Calling Police
I agree with Mercifull that this is most likely not the full story but I am not surprised JagEx contact the local authorities. Most human beings would contact authorities if they felt that a life was in danger, so I don't see why JagEx should be any different. Although I do think context should be taken into account, if someone says something like "I've had an awful day for X reasons, I feel like killing myself" then that would be a cause for concern but if someone says something in not such a light hearted context then they could still mention it to authorities just to bring it to their attention just in case something does happen. Look at it this way, if you were an assistant in a shop and someone came in, seemed anxious and started telling you that they had had a terrible few weeks and were thinking about killing themselves and you half believed they would, would you tell someone? JagEx do not have the luxury of actually seeing someone in the flesh to understand if they might actually take their own life so gamble and tell the authorities. It's better to take the gamble and tell someone than tell nobody and someone dies. Also parents are getting increasingly wary of computer games because of all the bad press the violent ones are getting, so if someone kills themselves after saying the will on RS and JagEx had done nothing and a parent found out, with this suing culture the world has developed it is likely that someone would sue JagEx. So really JagEx are taking care of its customers as well as themselves, as they unfortunately need to in this day and age. I understand why some people would disagree with what JagEx are doing, but at the end of the day if they think there is a possible threat to another human's life, no matter how insignificant it may be they have a duty to report it to the respective people.

Nomad made easy!
I used your guide and used your suggested item set up but without anything in the ring slot and with a trimmed skill cape using Whip + Holy Book. I got him down to his melee attack first time but ran out of restores due to bad management of them, second time I killed him with 2 super restore and 6 restore doses left and 32 brew doses left. So I would say the whip is pretty good there, though I do have 99 attack which probably helped. Thanks for the guide, finally managed to get my quest cape back :^_^:

19-Jan-2010 - Barbarian Assault Improvements
Something JagEx should add is a waiting room priority thing for the random team room like they have in other mini games, because some people who just walk in get on a team straight away yet other can be waiting there for ages. I was waiting about 20 minutes until I finally joined a team and then someone quit straight away :wall: It's a fun game with friends, but when you're part of a team made up of people you don't know generally it doesn't go well

11-Jan-2010 - Nomads Requiem
There is some element of luck, especially for the lower levels, involved in this quest. For example; I went in on one of my many tries with a different set-up to try my luck and I started really well, rarely getting hit and eventually I got to within and inch of his life and then I died. Feeling confident I went in with the same set-up again and got ripped to shreds. But while luck does play a role in this, planning, strategy and set-up play a much bigger role.

19-Jan-2010 - Barbarian Assault Improvements
Now is the best time to find a team if you don't have high role levels as there will be a lot of people new to the minigame playing and a lot of people who like you haven't played it since release. I only have level 3 in the collector role, everything else is 1 so I hope I'm right anyway

19-Jan-2010 - Barbarian Assault Improvements
If that's true then whips are going to go up in price again :^_^: Looks like JagEx are trying to get more people playing some of the largely ignored minigames. Perhaps we can expect to see the Castle Wars rewards updated soon

13-Jan-2010 Postbag from the Hedge
[hide=Quotings] Does "year" mean Earth year or Gielinor year? It has been year 169 of fifth age on Gielinor since the release of the game. Don't know but if you take the strange capital letters (The ones not in the beginning of a sentence) it comes out: ARNDGASRE Which is an anagram of Drags Near, which is one letter off from draws near. So maybe the climactic Mahjarat quest is coming up soon, possibly before summer? Drags near? New dragons? First thing that comes to mind for me. [/hide] There was talk about Adamant Dragons some time last year, could be them? Or did the picture turn out to be a Brutal Green?

11-Jan-2010 - Nomads Requiem
I'm not sure if this is me going mad from trying to do it so many times, but I have found that when Nomad creates his clones putting on Protect from Range helps defend against the attacks. I know it's not exactly the most dangerous part of the fight, but every bit of HP helps I guess :^_^:

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's two super moderators!
Congratz to both of you! You'll both do great :^_^:

11-Jan-2010 - Nomads Requiem
Don't forget Kuradel is after Lucien and she's hardly weak so if we ever fight Lucien I'm sure she'll be useful :^_^: Anyway I have a question: Would getting a higher magic level help me withstand Nomad's attacks? I only have 75 at the moment and have been looking for an incentive to get my mage level to 90 for a while.

11-Jan-2010 - Nomads Requiem
The pillar trick certainly seems to be the best way for lower levels to do it (and by lower I mean those below maxed stats and above 120cmb :P). Wearing D'hide and meleeing him with a whip and 3/4 invent of monkfish as a trial run I managed to take of about 1/3 of his health before I accidentally got hit by his 75 damage attack because I lagged and perished with half and invent of Monks left. :wall:

Your most annoying moment.
Losing my Quest Cape as a result of the new quest (Nomad's Requiem) because I used it with my skilling outfit so now I have to make a new one :-( Some of my most annoying moments are when I am Slaying, in an empty world and someone or several people turn up where I am and expect me to move so they can slay and they deliberately go for the monsters near me to try and drive me out. It happened to me this morning at Spectres in Slayer Tower, I was happily hacking away at them and then someone showed up and even though the whole room was free decided to kill them where I was and asked if I would mind moving. At first I refused but I realised I was ruining my Slayer task so I moved to near the stairs and another guy shows up and asks me to move because him and his friend want to kill these ones :wall: I just gave up and swapped worlds. Might seem quite trivial to some people, but it really annoys me :P

11-Jan-2010 - Nomads Requiem
For those saying the Decayed Avatar is taking too long, here's the method I used which took me about 5 minutes to kill him including him restoring his health once: [hide] - Equip the best melee offensive gear you have (I used whip + defender). - Take several (5+ to be safe) prayer potions (perhaps a holy wrench too). - I also brought a Fire Titan but he wasn't overly useful as he pretty much always splashed but it's up to you. - Head into where he's lurking and take a sip of Super Strength and Attack. - Now if you can, go full screen, if not pan the camera to ground level so you can see as much of the room as possible. - Turn on protect from melee and piety and attack him. He attacks melee only so while you're fighting keep scanning the room for roots (For me they sprung up in the NW Corner, then SE, then NE). - When a root appears the Avatar will move slightly in the direction of the root, once you can see it click on it to destroy it. You will only destroy it if you get there first so make sure you're paying attention. - You have very little time to react to the 3rd root (which is where I tripped up) so make sure the moment you see it you destroy it. - The roots only appear 3 times so after the third one he wont heal again so you're free to kill him :^_^: Good luck![/hide]

11-Jan-2010 - Nomads Requiem
According to Runescript you'd get 924k defence xp with 100 Zeal Points, not too shabby for a quest reward :^_^:
