Jagex upgraded from rsc for a reason :wall: and my point being: noobs cry about really small and unimportant things, when in rsc people enjoyed what they had and liked the game as it was- challenging. So you want a discussion over why there is an extra line of text when you are baiting fish? it's simple- jagex designed it like that, just like everything else in runescape. everything in runescape is just like jagex designed it, and it is idiotic to discuss small details of the design. The whole point of this freaking post is that it IS NOT JUST AN EXTRA LINE OF TEXT! Gosh, can't you read? I guess you all just communicated through brain waves in rsc? - flame bait ftw? :? But seriously, I wouldn't give a flaming muffin if it didn't effect the rate that i caught fish... The reason I am posting this is that it DOES effect the rate... your character stands up and then recasts the line again and again in a small amount of time... he thus spends more time casting then fishing which leads to slower loads which equals less fish...

ok well i just tried it with lobbies and BAM, not problem at all... I think its just some bug with bait fishing... anyone else wanna try and it and see if it does it to them also?

Well its just a semi-rant... i was just kinda mad cause I don't know why they would change something like this... Its a discussion to see if they really did change somthing

Ok, who freaking messed with fishing... Seriously I am TICKED OFF! I started happily fishing yesterday to get to 53 for hero's quest. I happily pulled 2k bait from the bank and headed south to sunny shilo. While gleefully basking in the sands of the river that runs through the village, I laid out my fishing pole and, with some bait, set about catching a few pikes. I happily clicked around during this time reading forums, comics and school assigned work. I set up my windows so i could keep track of my adventurer while he crouched over the river hunting fish. An astonishing thing came to my attention. My character was having the darndest time fishing! Every few seconds he would "cast out his line and attempt to catch a fish" only to repeat that same act a few seconds later! I thought that perhaps jagex wanted players to stay on one screen so i closed my windows and settled down to watch my character more closely. It made no difference at all! My character still got itchy and kept re-casting his line every few seconds. People this just WILL NOT DO! Since when has jagex updated fishing so that my poor character can't sit in one spot and be a peace for a bit? Below is a picture showing what my character keeps doing and as you can see it is not only annoying but it obviously keeps my character from his true fishing potential! Keep in mind that I am NOT clicking around in the window... I am not re-clicking "bait fish" every few seconds... i am not clicking at all... What is the problem?

statistically stakers are some of the highest rule breakers in the game... "x-logging" "baricade glitch" "rule switching" "guthix tea" ect... all are reportable bannable offences that many many stakers take advantage of... Its going to happen when you are competeing for alot of money... Jagex normally nips these guys in the bud but it just doesn't stop the slew of people who think "its only for one stake, who will know?" Well I couldn't look up your stats on the rs main page... forum name and playing name aren't the same... But judging from the stats in your sig you don't range much... trust me... there would be rioting for days on end if jagex took out the ability to use a safe spot... Also by that last bit... which spots scream "macro me"

Thanks to lilconquress for smithing, fletching, cutting, and tipping my addy bars... I really appreciate it have fun with those bones...

Thats my plan too :) well and mage a bit also... I got a mage level a bit after that picture... 72 now forgot to take a pic #-o... Also on my way to 107 qps I did horror from the deep... free training ground pl0x? Went killing black drags after I got teleported from the metals... disappointment there... nothing good... ah well

:sigh: no one posted... :( well my membership finally activated... I did two quick quests merlin's crystal and Freminik trials... After getting an archers helm I decided to range some metal drags... Used about 300 addy bolts before i decided that was too expensive and switched to iron... My fighting of the irons came to an unfortunate end when the sandwhich lady popped up and because of the breath I wasn't able to talk to her... silly gal ah well I'm heading back I'll keep yall posted

I was a tad disappointed also... but eh we got next week :thumbsup: also, there have been updates on Wednesday before too...

Imo fishing is one of the more difficult capes too stick to and finally achieve... good job going through to teh end :thumbsup:

Erm, once again... not to be mean to a poster.. but you are wrong... even for a first it sucks... yes sucks... Ouch. Your critisicms are duely noted; but try not to be so harsh? There was nothing constructive about that particular statement. Anyway, that aside, I'll get to work on improving it asap. Hopefully this time it will be more aesthetically pleasing. Mmm, i agree that particular statement wasn't really a criticism as per say but more of a rating of how that particular image turned out... It was harsh, it was ment to be... its nothing against you or your artistic skill right now... with this type of art you can and will improve... Many artists harbor a false feeling that their first piece will be a work of art... this is untrue, 90% of the time their first few works are crap... the first piece is the first brick... it is a stepping stone on which to work towards more advanced pieces... The statement was to do two things A. shock an artist - not applicable as much to you since as you say you duly note the crits - into losing the false security gained after one piece of work B. Undermine people who won't encourage you to improve... you post here to get better and to show the improvements between each piece of work... if we aren't harsh sometimes in how an image looks you won't get better... I am sometimes unduly harsh, but it's all towards that artist getting better... I do it for their improvement...

Erm, once again... not to be mean to a poster.. but you are wrong... even for a first it sucks... yes sucks... A. your text = bad... bad bad bad bad bad never rape my eyes with a glowing text again... I will kill you B. Lay off with the semi transparent images... don't place an image where the back ground shining through isn't going to look good... you did... C. The background is an unsightly shade of an orange glow that doesn't blend in with the render in any way shape or form... D. flow... there is none E. The renders are not blended in at all... I could go on, but the above is enough to work on right now... Look for some tutorials... Join the forum at dutchdesignz.com and look at some of theirs if you need to... You are a beginner, its not as terrible as the above made out... AS LONG AS YOU IMPROVE FROM IT...

Please reply to this poll/discussion with the following format for the poll The first question is, how would you feel about double exp days on holidays and special event days from jagex? All the other mmorpgs I have played have had double and sometimes triple exp days... do you want this to happen ? Second question is a little different... Why does jagex place items into obscurity? Case in point the dragon sq shield... Instead of creating an upgrade therefore upping the prices of the hard to get left half (it is left right?) they go and create a whole new shield... dragonfire shield... Why not just make the visage addable to the dragon sq... instead of forcing this item into obscurity? With this second question please post why you think they do this to older items... Just wait... when they create 80+ defense armor everything else is going down the drain...

Isnt that a leather body? But yeah getting that with a rune scim seems stupid, and blocking out the name seems fishy. I dont like 1 def pures however you did get some insane stats on this one if it really is your acc. mm you know it could be a leather top... I was looking on my computer that has the resolution turned really low so its hard to make out details... on this computer... well yea it is a leather body... :wall: apologies for that accusation... however I stick to the rest... seems a bit fisheh... If you wanted you could pm me the name, if for no other reason to prove me completely wrong...

No offense but that is not that great of a job coloring... the line work that you are coloring is drawn most likely using photoshop brushes instead of pencils which cause the color to spread out just like a real brush would when painting... this happens alot with character creators as well since they are geared towards the color sets designed for them... Pieces like this are designed to be colored in photo shop or gimp (not sure on gimp) where you can use layers to color specific parts in turn and on top of one another... it doesn't work that well in paint...

I don't get it... you have on a rogue top... but to get that you need 50 agility and thief... which you don't have... I find that... interesting... Its kinda hard for me to believe that you didn't level even 1 non-combat too... You got 99 strength on a rune skim...? Why would you spend at least 2x as long when a quest would have taken maybe an hour... that is just plain stupid...

this is the one thing i will agree on with most f2p haters... there are tons of people in f2p who have no idea what the prices are on items... who just want to see items... and who want to try and get an item by scamming... I tried to buy a pumpkin once and spent 2 hours there wasteing my time... it was really frustraiting... Also, with the trade screen modifications its amazing how many people STILL try and switch prices or items... :x most of the time i browse p2p forums and pick out people add them and message... takes a bit of time but not as much as f2p selling... Most f2pers don't have enough cash for rares so its harder to get a sale

Even with your whole **-wait i don't wanna get flamed again part- it still shows that the first thing you think when something like this pops up is something against f2p'ers... you started out as one... everyone did... jeesh
