  1. Died just this morning, wasn't paying attention to my health in Agility Arena and died doing those stupid darts. Got back with plenty of time to spare, as the stone angel of death stood guard over my precious armadyl helm. I remember back when I was a noob, dying all the time and going into a panic over losing a rune scimmy, plate, or 15k in gold. Back when dying was very possible, very easy, and a good motivator to go prepared. Kids these days with their gravestones and their free home teleports. I think 9 out of every 10 times I died was in the wildy on treasure trails
  2. Really depends on the skill, however. For example, I find a quest point cape to be more impressive, than a skill like firemaking, a cheap skill to raise that simply shows you have the wrist to click on a few hundred thousand logs. The capes I really respect are: Slayer Summoning Farming Hunter Agility Prayer Until the release of While Guthix Sleeps, however, the quest cape was pretty low on my list of respectable capes. But now that that ridiculously hard quest has been released, I proudly display my Quest Point cape at all times!
  3. I run RSHD like a dream, but I run an alienware. I'm quite upset to hear everyone badmouthing HD and Summoning. First of all, even low detail users got huge graphical updates with the HD switch. And summoning is perhaps one of the best things to happen to RS. Yes its difficult to train, but thats the point of an mmo. But i must say, without a doubt, that my least favorite updates were the GE and trade limits. I don't hate the idea of a grand exchange system, I just hate how the price range has been set up. The price adjustment algorithm could have been set up so much better, but its too late to change it now.
  4. -Continuation of While Guthix Sleeps -Dragon Warhammer? Please? Pretty please? -Bow swords. Remember that thing you had to make in that quest? I want one! -Continue on quests from Mournings End. I'd love to see Ilfeen finally finish that crystal halberd she's been talking about. And finally open up Prifddinas
  5. Mith dragons are alot easier than they let on, just follow the monster killing guide and you should be fine
  6. From how you describe your ten-year old, it sounds like she had a stroke, or perhaps a burst blood vessel in her brain.
  7. that happened in 'King of Queens' too... But dogs have been unlucky in my neighborhood too... First of all, a retired bomb sniffing dog who lived down the street from me suffered a massive stroke, and had to be put down. Sad, i never actually got to meet the dog. I always had my lab with me and they didn't get along. Then around memorial day, my 15 year old plotthound got sick. She had thyroid cancer and less than a month left. On memorial day weekend, she fell down and couldn't get back up. the morning of memorial day she suffocated, her lungs too weak to pump, in my bed, in my arms. I still carry her collar around everywhere i go. Then our neighbors border collie developed arthritis so painful medication didn't do anything. He was in too much pain so his owners were forced to put him down. (they just adopted an eight week old puppy yesterday though, they really needed it). And finally, a beagle who lived down the street with me fell to his lymph cancer, and had to be put down. I never really knew the dog that well, i took it out when its neighbors were away now and then, it was a sweetheart.
  8. you got any wireless mice nearby? those have called hell for me with my router. Another thing to watch out for is heat. Those routers are only convection cooled, so you need to keep them in an open place and never stack stuff near them that will choke air flow around it. Also try moving it away from any other sources of radio waves, interference might cause a feedback problem.
  9. how's that one little propeller going to push the whole sub? you'd think the whole thing would go off balance and spin.
  10. well the only logical explanation is that these scientists have found [bleep] Cheneys heart.
  11. the reason metals do these things is because microwave radiation cannot pass through them, however it can create voltage in the outer levels of the electrons. The real danger of putting metal in the microwave is that the metal can reflect the microwaves right back into the magnatron (the device that makes the microwaves) and cause it to overheat or short circuit.
  12. Ugh, i hate those blood tests. I went into the docs office the other day for a hep A vaccine, a menningitis vaccine, and a score of blood tests due to daily zoloft (Liver function, blood count, and cholesterol for some reason). The pain of the needle doesn't bother me, its just the fact that its removing blood that gets me. To make matters worse, i have a slightly rare condition that causes me to near pass out when losing blood called Mitral Valve Prolapse (most people with the condition never manifest any of its symptoms, and its only slightly uncommon, like one out of every 200 people, but only 1 out of 100 of those manifest troublesome symptoms). That and my body can't tell me when i'm becoming dehydrated, so my arms and hands always look like rebdragon's picture
  13. got one yesterday gave me two black leather chaps... doing one right now, if it comes up bad i'll post it
  14. I love firefox, but i've come across a problem... I've used it to play runescape ever since jagex made the game FF friendly back in 05 (or was it 06, can't remember). However, i then took a hiatus for about a year on the game and recently returned. Now whenever i load the game i get a CTD error (crash to desktop), and get all the little Microsoft 'error reporting' messages. When i send them it says firefox is not a windows program and they can't help, so can you? please? I updated java recently so i don't think that is the problem.
  15. I choose Obama, he hasn't been in politics long enough for the big buisness people to taint him yet
  16. The problem is that i was there with her, on my bed when she died. It was 11 in the morning and i had just come back from work (ironically as a dog walker) to find her immobilized and wide eyed. She was faint, but i layed down next to her and said goodbye. An hour later she died in a fashion that haunts my dreams still to this day... Seeing death is something you cannot prepare yourself for... Every day i spend a great deal of time at her grave, tending to the snow white flowers that bloom from it (winter was her favorite time of year, so white seemed appropriate), waiting until i can scrounge up enough money to buy her a proper headstone
  17. Searching your guide i found no mention of a good world to play this game on. However, through some investigative work (bugging people) i found that 131 is a nice place to sanctify oil, and the temple is almost always full. This may be worth noting in the guide.
  18. Afraid of needles (watching House MD has kind of helped with that one) Afraid of commitment Severe seperation anxiety (it got so bad i couldn't even throw away toothbrushes when i was a kid, i had to keep everything or i would freak out) Used to be afraid of spiders, but not anymore (hehe, i'm bigger than them... who has the upper hand now eh?)
  19. Penny, sweetest dog on earth Her and our 7 year old lab Dusty sleeping her and dusty again Penny begging for food Me and Penny, just 12 hours before she lost her battle with thyroid cancer R.I.P. Penny, December 3, 1991 May 28, 2007
  20. sounds like simple pneumonia, harmless unless you have some sort of auto-immune problem, genetic heart defect from birth, are over 70, or under 5. i'd suggest googling it to check the treatments online. still go to the doctor though, since i'm not one, and never intend to be one (despite my parents wishes)
  21. yeah, they're in the temp folder, which is almost impossible to find (its hidden). unless you save the file to disk, you're never gonna find it.
  22. I'm trying to get up my smithing via blast furnace, but can't find a world with helpers, is there a world that usually has someone here?
  23. meh, now i have to walk farther to dump all the junk out of my bank, used to just run from seers bank
  24. my wrists are getting sore just thinking about the massive amount of code this will require the jagex programmers. great idea though, and very nice presentation.
  25. I've been working on it all day with Gimp 2.0. It needs some finishing touches, the contrast and shading is a bit odd in some parts, but its getting closer to done Should be easier once my computer's sketch pad comes in the mail... whaddaya think?
