Jagex dropped tradable holiday items. About as far back as I go, although I don't care for RSC. The gameplay is stunted beyond belief.

As much as I would like the system to be changed back, (because it was stupid enough in the first place and didn't deter bots) it's too engrained in Runescape life.

If it was a simple thank you they wouldn't have told anyone about it and would have surprised people there on the day with their own individual code. This is a MASSIVE marketing gimmick for them to sell more tickets. People are always lured by the attraction of exclusive items, and they don't even have to turn up to the event to get one!

Why are Jagex so insistant about promoting this minigame as a whole new dimension to RS... They've just made Stealing Creation with monsters for a maximum of 5 players, hardly groundbreaking stuff for them. :rolleyes:

Well. It's a very [cabbage]ty brand of Vodka, but still 40%, and a very cheap energy drink. But it's still a Vodka Redbull, and the general currency I rate any monetary purchase against. It makes sense! Btw you're lucky in Frome, i'd kill to live back in Somerset, i've got the hots for cider atm! On topic.. I thought it was good business sense to tell people what you are offering, then give them a price. So not only does Jagex's customer service and sense of community fail, but so does their business plan apparently!

Well. I'm not purchasing any ticket until they release more information, the venue for example. I'd LOVE to know where this £75 is going.

Jagex don't dictate the prices that players give items (mostly). If you aren't willing to risk claws then don't use them. Simples!

The distances are vast between cities and states in the USA compared to a smaller country. Moving past whichever country has the most RS players... Jagex is a UK based company, so it makes sense for them to hold their first event in the UK. Also, the UK isn't exactly the worlds largest country so it's fairly easy for people to get to London, and indeed from the continent, The Netherlands for example is just a ferry/plane ride away.

Btw for anyone looking at getting the train, Advance tickets are usuall put on sale 3 months before your required travel date, so look around May 28th into early June and you can find some great deals. It's not just the alcohol reason, I think there are several legal implications involving events with minors (under 16's) to do with insurance, responsibility for them etc. I don't think people should be making a big deal about Alcohol, by the time people have reached 18 in the UK they've had enough hangovers to know that getting plastered isn't always a good idea anyway! Unless you go to uni of course.. ;)

You think everyone there is going to get absolutely hammered? I very much doubt whether Jagex will have an open bar and let everyone who is 18+ drink to their hearts content. Btw this event is 16+.

We call that Stealing Creation. (Admittedly only up to lvl 80, but there's nothing stopping Jagex from adding level 6 clay at 99 for example.) Interesting that whilst Jagex has altered the token cost of rewards from this mini-skill, they still don't match up! At level 25 I can use the scroll of life, yet won't have the 10k tokens to do so until lvl 50 at least... Fail much?

They don't provide me anything that I can take into RS either. Only things bought with tokens/zeal/stealing creation points/void points/pieces of eight/castle wars (insert generic minigame points based reward system here) tickets do.
