i'd suggest fire waving iron/steel dragons. It's easy to find a few iron dragons not being killed, it's harder to find a world where the steels aren't already occupied, so go with irons. They drop a nice amount of charms, runite limbs( crossbow thing, alchs for around 17k) and just hope for a dragon drop or a visage :P

ok there's a few: Black and steel dragons drop charms in lots of 3, i always get tons of greens killing black dragons. Another option is killing bloodvelds, they drop a green charm most deaths. Most slayer monsters do drop green charms pretty often, bar some.

and does that work against metal and non-metal drags? Causing dragonfire to hit 0's? If the pot runs out but protect mage is still up, do you get hit for 5's for the full 40ish damage, same question vice versa?

Right well i know for a fact some high level players like to kill dragons using a godsword, someone i know uses a SGS. But i was wondering how exactly it is done? I've heard people drink an antifire and pray mage but black dragons don't use mage so i'd assume you'd get hit constant 5's( reduced from 40 to 5 by pot) Maybe people don't kill blacks by this method only irons but again irons only use a mage attack if your out of their melee range, otherwise they stick to the usual dragonfire. So how do these people kill dragons using a 2h weapon? Is there a way to reduce dragonfire to 0 without a DFS or do they put up with the 5's from dragonfire?

fairy ring is a little below the summoning altar, can't remember the code but you could check tip's fairy ring map.

hmm training with a pyrelord does make firemaking a bit slower...

i think the best bet is the DFS, not only is it the best shield in the game with over 70+ stats for melee defense. It also has a high range defense and a +10 mage defense, group this with its +7str and it's a shield for all occasions. Personally i do notice the high defense.

someone i know regularly uses his SGS on black and i believe iron drags. He says he drinks an antifire pot and prays mage.

I'm starting these again because for the last week or so i haven't remembered to save them during the forums down time :( [hide=12th June 2008]Spent this evening completing a 64 black dragon task and starting a 178 bloodveld task. Got a decent amount of charms from the black drags and kept all their bones and hides which I'm going to sell for a nice 500-600k( i had like 30 drag bones in my bank).[/hide] [hide=13th June 2008]Went out tonight and just got back so i didn't have tons of time to play, i have almost done my bloodveld task, no significant drops though from bloodvelds you don't expect any. I DID GET 84 attack and 86 hp today though!! oh i guess so, i just thought since their are stickies in general were you post stories about being scammed and such, that me asking what people lost might just go in general discussion.

Well i was just interested in seeing what people have lost when they've died. For me the most i lost was when i died on a slayer task, i lost Guthan's spear and helm, black mask, whip and a few other items, it came to a total cash value of around 10m. I wasn't really that annoyed to be honest, it was my fault i died because i took too much of a risk with low hp and when i tried to run back for my items a random got me... So basically I'd like to see what you guys have lost, items and then maybe give it a rough cash value, maybe an explanation of what happened if you like.

hmph i don;t do Pvp at all so i don't mind about those changes. Although prices have changed from there being no autoers i think it is a positive thing. Also i LOVE the Grand Exchange. I realise some of it's pricing needs to be changed but the fact i can buy something in huge bulks out log out for a few hours, then come back and(usually) i have what i want is very useful. It also helps me when buying unusual items, for example once i needed 100 wheat, why anyone sells wheat on the Ge i dont know but i got it instantly, saved me time.

oh talking about black marks, i think mine has gone down from 8.something to 7.6, anyway check out this reason why my account sharing appeal was denied: My explanation, which was the total truth: I wish to apologize for my account sharing offense. The reason i seem to have gotten this offense is because my friend talked to one of his friends while i was playing on my account. I was actually playing on it and he asked me if he could add one of his friends in the game to talk to him. I let him do this and unfortunately his wording to his friend made it seem that he is on my account without me present. Ok here's the good old automated response Thank you for your appeal. it seems to be fire giants have one of the highest drop rates. I have been on a 120 fire giant task, i have 40 something left. I have gotten a charm from 80%+ of them easily, basically most kills i got a charm, mostly gold, and a few green,blue and crimson. I think i have around 83 gold, 8 green, 6 blue and 5 crimson

i'm sure people will find ways of making gp, for example i alch many of the steel/mith/addy and lower level rune drops i get, there's money right there. Also there is a lot of money in runescape already, the billionaires will pay millions for raw materials, those people might use that profit to buy there own, etc. I think it will work itself out.

i don't see it as too much of a problem. I think being 99 in any skill should take a very long time and require a lot of effort. Being able to do anything in s skill should be very respectable and a lot of work should have gone into it. If you can power level to 99 in a skill in two weeks, does 99 really mean anything anymore?
