Standing Stones Between Barb Village & Fally
evanboy70 replied to 555coolguy55's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Yah, those weird rocks have been there forever, they just added the symbols recently. Seems a little too effortful to mean nothing, but then there is a meaningless lesser demon in the top of the wizards tower... -
A good idea for p2pers becoming f2p
evanboy70 replied to abyssalreaper's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
No way, you just dump all the members items you want to alc into a newbie member, cancel the membership on it, wait for it to all be alced. Free nats for all... Members should instead have the option of selling all their member items at general store price (thats low alc, isn't it?) once their membership has expired. This would at least make it fair so that people with real money couldn't just create newb accounts in order to alc a ton of items. -
Autoing. When do you cross the line?
evanboy70 replied to dylantheskater's topic in General Discussion
Could you please read the post before posting? This is exactly what hes NOT talking about. Moron... I think these should all be perfectly legal. Unfortunately, if you develop a precise pattern, it would very much seem that you were using a program instead of playing normally. I've always wondered if I could utilise one of those dipping birds (http://www.backstreet.demon.co.uk/oddst ... igbird.jpg) to operate the keyboard or mouse for you, and I doubt its considered macroing. If the 'cheat' is external, it should be perfectly legitimate. -
Praise Guthix, my beloved cabbage have returned at last! I was super worried before, now its okay again. Thankyou Jagex! Problem solved, this topic can be closed now.

For our conspiracy theorists... Concerning new town looks
evanboy70 replied to EugenyG's topic in General Discussion
Are you saying having a 'secret' mining place for each person would stop macros? Wouldn't that make it super easy for everyone to just hide their little bot in a hidden mining place? Random generation of maps requires tons of memory ingame, and would lag the everliving crap out of all the servers. -
Can anyone prove the differences in the two cabbages by taking a screenshot of both in an inv, with examine results included? If you could, that would be great.
-
We were supposed to be able to weild our rods since RS2 came out... I don't see who would be against this.
-
If one were somewhat money driven, they may want to gather up as much of it as they can now, rather than when the price [bleep]es to the high millions. Unfortunately, noobs that collect vast quantitys of it wouldn't have an equal amount of regular cabbage to make sure you were getting the good stuff.
-
THe odds of it becoming valuable are unlikely, as there is no discernable diference between the two, unless you consume one. People aren't gonna buy it if they can't tell if it's draynor or not. And yes, the examine is exactly the same, yet they don't stack. Maybe they have to be sold with an equal amount of reg cabbage?
-
YOu can no longer pick delicious defence cabbage at draynor manor. I'm sad...
-
Even when you use a shovel with them, you still get nothing. If they don't fix that soon, there'll be hell to pay. If it becomes another half wine, I will kill. I'm gonna try telegrabbing it.
-
With the new update, draynor cabbage can no longer be picked. This is not only a nuisance to me, because I do love the delicious taste of cabbage, and the added defence bonus is nice too (f2ps equivalent of a defence potion) but will cause serious problems for those attempting to complete the white knights quest that involves the specialty cabbage. How can people complete it without that cabbage?

They're on the jagex site, just look for them. Don't be so lazy.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Know how much that would over power prayer? If I could get 4.5k everytime I got a genie, I'd level in no time flat. Thats equivalent to me having to collect 1k little bones. Skills that have low level training objects, like prayer, and crafting for f2p, would become much easier to train, and would make all my effort useless. As a higher level, genies may not seem too useful, but making them super powered would tick the high levels off, because they had to work hard for their stats, and everyone else has easy training from then on.
-
Larger map areas, huh? so you mean completely redoing the runescape map and enhancing the entire world of Geilinor You should send your idea to Jagex, I'm sure they'd love it...
-
No, that would be stupid. If you can't escape a monster, players that are just exploring the world would get followed by monsters that are way more than they could chew, and the monster could sprint after them for decades. Other people would lure monsters into public places and log out, leaving the monster to wreak havoc amongst citys. Imagine baiting a greater down from the wild into lumbridge? some noobs would be unable to respawn. Other problems would be out of place monsters, and there'd be agro monsters on main roads, attacking innocents that stuck to the given path. Terrible idea with the follow issue. As for faster movement, some monsters do appear to move faster, but keeping up with run would defeat the general purpose of run.

Spinach rolls. Buy as many and as much as you possibly can. Most valuable item in the game. Seriously though, you had membership and you didn't know that all holiday rares are status symbols? How much money do you have? If you have several million, the most practical purchase would be God armour. Noobs worship you, ask for phr33 st00f, and it serves as real armour too.
-
I thought this was supposed to be a topic about stuff that does combine? You guys all posted useless spam about stuff that doesn't do anything. Great, I put a gold bar on my rune armour and it didn't get trimmed! Woop dee doo! This topic is supposed to be about stuff that combines, not stuff that does nothing. I would have to say making chocolate dust with a knife and a chocolate bar, since f2p can't use it for anything.
-
Nope, wouldn't work. Its not a skill. If anything, it'd be a minigame. That'd be like having castlewars a skill instead of a game.
-
Ah, but thats why f2p is ideal for your analogy. If I'm correct, you are an f2p, yes? Mage armour on f2p is cheap as you can get, it's free from simple monsters. This makes the cost of runes balanced. Ranger armour isn't considered cheap to many f2pers, due it its unavaliability to be crafted. The arrows have more uses than runes, so it equalizes. And, as you said, warrior is pricey to start, free to continue. Unfortunately, none are capable of balancing with warrior ultimately. If you were to continue using all your stuff, mages and rangers alike would continue paying, though have the advantage of not having to pay for food. If you factor in food, they may all balance out. Back on topic, the rune charge idea is just silly. I think you should always be 'carrying' all types of runes, and you just need to collect charges. THe runes would take no inv space, and would be displayed at the top of the magic spellbook. Simple as that.
-
Strange, I also don't recall any magic use. Imagine that. If you think anything in runescape can be related to real life effectively, you're sadly mistaken. Last time I checked, there were no dwarves, gnomes, goblins, or dragons. There was no metal called black, adamant, runite or dragon. Armoured capes would work, but would be rediculous, members don't need another update anyways. Plus, lava cape could beat the crup out of a dragon cape any day. All of your ideas would work, but are to unimportant to be implemented. Warriors have enough already, with their massive variety of weapons and armour.

LOOK HERE FOR TRAINING HELP - LOOK HERE BEFORE POSTING
evanboy70 replied to 93element's topic in Help and Advice
thats imposible to say.. lots of arrows disapeer and noone can tell you how much next to that you never hit the same.. so you dont know how much arrows a monster will cost, and so you cant say how much exp you will gain! I can answer that. I actually created a calculator that can total your xp for ranging, assuming you pick up your arrows. Arrows break an average of 20% of the time, thus your return rate of arrows is only 80%. That leaves you with 8k arrows after firing all arrows off. This in turn repeats over and over until you are down to no arrows. Ultimately, you will get aproximately 48240 shots of iron arrows total. Now, assuming you hit... lets say... 2 damage per shot (not very high, I know, but lets see what the worst that can happen is) you will hit a total of 9641 damage. now, turned into xp, that gets you get 369791 xp. we then add that to the xp for level 40, and are left with more than enough xp for level 64. So, asssuming all goes well, you'll get 64 range. Now, lets take one level off for problems encountered, like noob arrow theives, random events, etc, and it leaves you with level 63 range. Not bad. -
H1p Presents: Snowball Massacre & Firefest!
evanboy70 replied to Blipo's topic in General Discussion
Aw, I won't be able to make it. I bet there will be a bunch of cheaters. If anyone cheats, everyone should target them. If any serious pkers come, its gonna be some crazy mind rune drops... -
More f2p bank space. That sewing skill sounds like it could work, you could make your own robes and everything. Of course, I'd want more f2p updates, but I'm not one to complain... Perhaps some further work on the f2p wild, maybe some free minigames? And boss monsters, level 92 demons are not nearly challenging enough for us freebs.

Tip.It Times: New beginnings in a new land
evanboy70 replied to Eeeeediot's topic in General Discussion
Not exactly how I recall noobiehood. If I remember correctly, I stayed in lumby by the church colloecting the bones of countless men and women. I got over 15 prayer off of that, getting me well on my way to becoming the monk tank I am now. When I finally decided to venture off, I headed aimlessly, finally finding myself in the land of goblins, by the Port Sarim Jail. I collected more gold than I could imagine, 30 gp (perfect for the boat ride) and more runes than I could ever use (probably about ten of each elelmental) Then, a kindly fellow by the name of maddog714 offered me something nice, he offered to give me a sword, far better than the dagger I was using. I followed him happily, and he led me to the bank. I had no idea what a bank was, and didn't realize that he wasn't taking me anywhere near a bank at all. I didn't worry about the darkening screen, as the wilderness loomed over me. My new friend would protect me from whatever harm may come across me. Then, my new friend began attacking me. Not even knowing how to run, I tried vainly to walk away. Without descending even three levels of wilderness, I fell, losing everything I had worked so hard for. Angry and disssoriented, I resumed collecting bones, pushing my prayer to 20. So, in truth, I owe a lot to that maddog fellow. He evil ways helped me alot. My only regret is that I can't challenge him to another fight, because by now, I would crush him underfoot. If anyone has recently seen or spoken to maddog714, let him know I want to talk to him.
