Well, a kid in our town committed suicide a few days ago. I didn't know him, but a lot of the kids at my school were very upset today. I don't know what was wrong with him or anything... but, it's just sad that he felt that was the only way to deal with whatever he was going through. May he rest in peace.
  2. Welcome. ^_^ This is the best place in the world. Full of thriving... happy... (perhaps a little too happy) people. :D Hope you enjoy it here.

I love that one 8-) . Ha! I couldn't see what their backs said until like the third time I watched that commercial.

I find those commercials to be so stupid. >.< Like the one where the guy wakes up and he answers the phone and he's like, "How did she get home? Oh dude... I was so high. You know that's not me, man..." It just left me sitting there thinking, "What just happened?"
  5. Wow! Very very interesting! Wish I could see it!
  6. Awesome as hell! Love it! :D
  7. Mmmm. ^_^ Good ole' Southern sweet tea for me! I prefer it hot, but if it's a hot day, I'll put ice in it. I also like Green Tea with honey. :)
  8. If you don't want to play, don't play. It's that simple. It's obvious this is stressing you out, so just tell your mom you don't enjoy it anymore and that's that.
  9. Oh... I've played these before. I've beaten the first one. It took me hours! If only I can remember how I did it. :(
  10. Very very interesting! :D I think we basically act on a mixture of free will and determinism. To put it simply, in my mind, determinism narrows down our choices, and free will allows us to make said choices.
  11. That is AWESOME! I want the traditional bookcase secret passage! I'm SO getting one when I get a house! Thank you! Thank you for showing this to me! :D
  12. What do you all mean by panda-y? I'm like a panda!? *Goes crazy* Oki! Pandaman is a panda! Now... don't hurt me, k?
  13. My parents would be so mad!
  14. That is a great song!
  15. Really? I would try it... but... I'm scared of breaking a tooth. :anxious: Doesn't work for me, but if you close your eyes really tight it works (at least for me) I tried that and it didn't work. You're a freak!
  16. Really? I would try it... but... I'm scared of breaking a tooth. :anxious:
  17. liar i am funny and cool. why do you think im not? nor do i care Does anyone else see the contradiction in that?
  18. TheChamp, and jblrulessd: You're neither funny nor cool. I almost pity you because it's so obvious through your actions that you're doing this for attention. EDIT: The newer ones. Anesthesia- Intelligent PandaMan- Panda-y :P Speedofsound- Awesome. ^_^ Fadfdfd- Sports!
  19. On the contrary, I believe he wins. I love my pancakes a little burnt and a little dry. :D Aw, man... I hate my pancakes burned! They have to be golden and fluffy... ^_^
  20. Me i got this I got about 40 of these which i will post each day ok? ...No, that's not ok. Now go back to your room, there's no food for naughty kids this evening. You can come back after you read the Book of Ezekiel, chapter 9 from the Bible and cite it word from word. Post them on this thread, and everyone else should post knowledge too!
  21. Sorry for taking the liberty to edit your quote a bit, but it is absolutely true. That's the real purpose of education, or that's what it should be. There is also a point to logic-is-overrated's message. A lot of current western school systems, especially those funded by the state, are created to make good, obedient tax-payers and instilling them with certain types of views on subjects and politics that will not conflict with the interests of the state. Schools that truly encourage real critical thinking and actions are rare. The era of greek-style philosophical education lounges is dead. If a teacher is arguably wrong, the student could point this out and the teacher would applaud the student for it. Not any more. The point of education is not that you can boast with your "GPA" or how your little Johnny did better in the algebra test than Tommy next door who is now crying because his parents punished him for not reading enough for the exam. The point of education is to make you use your own brains and not always blindly follow orders somebody else is giving you and trying to control your decisions. The point is to make you use your knowledge to your advantage and everybody else's advantage to make the world and your life better. I completely agree with you.
  22. Most excellent. :D We should have a thread dedicated to just posting small tidbits of knowledge. :P
  23. *High fives* I agree with Mr. Hair here.
