  1. I COMPLETELY agree. I think a lot of the parents in this world need to crack down and toughen up on their children. They need to instill the value of respect into their children, instead of worrying about the little demon child raining down fiery judgment upon them.
  2. Once, when I was in 8th grade, some friends of mine dared me to pierce my arm and wear a ring in it for the entire day. I did. It freaked some people out. But, it didn't really hurt. It was just uncomfortable when my friend put the ring in. I don't really care one way or the other about piercings. I think as long as you take it in moderation, it's fine. However, if your face starts sticking to magnets, you should probably cut down on them.
  3. Once again, You. Are. A. God. :P
  4. :D I ordered mine in October! I can't wait until we get them in. ^_^ Mine is going to be so cool! It was expensive though. :(
  5. Well, I think it is part of being a teenager, but personally, I don't like drama. I tend to stay away from it. It irritates me to see people blowing everything out of proportion. My sister is a very dramatic person, as well as a lot of people around me. I'm a Junior in high school (11th grade) and I'm really getting tired of drama and the whole "high school" way of life. I guess that's also a part of being an upperclassman.
  6. Yeah. I've seen the video you're talking about. My little sister and I got into an argument today about the way she treats my mom. I told her that if I ever had children who disrespected me the way she does my mom, I would slap the piss out of them. I respect my parents greatly. They really are devoted ones. I think that respect for your parents is an EXTREMELY good trait to have, a trait that I think is quickly fading in today's younger generation. They seem to have no respect for anyone.
  7. My god! 21 dream days? That's insane! There were a few dreams I had that were quite long... In one of them, I was trapped in this hotel with my mom and my grandmother (don't know why they were there O.o). We thought we were trapped alone, and were waiting for morning to come so that someone may realize that we were there. But, then these weird creatures started coming out. These really tall deformed zombie looking things, as well as some that walked on all four legs. We were really freaked out by them and ran to the front desk, trying to stay as far away from them as possible. We retrieved a key to a room, and then went to the room. I unlocked the door and told my grandmother and mom to stay in there. I had to go back out to the front lobby to grab some flashlights, since we had apparently left them there. On the way back, I got lost, running from those creatures. It was dark and I didn't know my way back. I was thoroughly scared when one of them jumped out at me and started grabbing at me. I ran down a long hallway and came to the end. It just dropped off probably 100 feet to the floor below. When I turned around, it was right in my face, trying to bite me. As I fought it, I fell and landed right on my head. Needless to say, there were brains and blood everywhere, and that sound that it made still sticks in my head to this day. :? I woke up, sat up in bed and felt around on my head to make sure it was all there. I usually have very creepy dreams similar to that one. That's probably the reason, mine are never really long. And supermonk: Your dreams made me laugh. :P Though the second one was rather creepy.
  8. That makes me very sad. :(

I completely agree with you. And I think that it's going to become an increasingly larger problem. I've contemplated suicide more times than I can count. I don't know how long I've been living with depression, but I started seeing a psychologist about it when I was in 9th grade at the age of 15. I went on medication for it when I was 16. And I have to say that it sucks. It really really really sucks. There have been some people who have asked me to explain what depression feels like, and there aren't even words to describe how terrible and painful it is. Under those circumstances, I can see how someone could consider suicide. I know people say that suicide is a "permanent solution to a temporary problem" but when you are depressed, it certainly does not feel that way. It's taken me a long time of therapy and medication just to get this far and sometimes, though I am satisfied with my life, though I am reasonably happy, I STILL contemplate suicide. We as humans have always avoided pain, and have always learned to avoid situations in which we are certain we will experience pain. But, with depression, it's a different kind of tormenting pain that comes without warning. And when we can't escape it, we consider extreme measures. I don't necessarily consider it a way out for the weak, nor do I consider it disgraceful. I just see it as sad.
  10. SOMOAS!!! :D You. Are. A. God.
  11. OH EM GEE! Those ones with the coconut and caramel... and chocolate... and they're all round with the hole in the middle. >.< What are they called? They're my favorite! :D I haven't had them in soooo long though. Just thinking about them makes me super hungry! Someone please tell me what they're called!
  12. Don't go. I know it's your friend and everything, but it's not your problem, and it's not something you should get involved in. You even said yourself that you would feel bad if you did go. I'm a firm believer in sticking up for my friends, but if you think Pie-eater really deserved it, then it's not your business to protect him.
  13. This is my first year in Quiz Bowl (as they call it here). :P I'm awesome at Mythology questions as well as Literature and some Science. I don't know when our first "game" or whatever is though. :(
  14. Looks like we've caught aliens in the act of stealing one of our cars! DAMN JOO ALIENS!
  15. As you know already, Lionheart, I completely agree with you. When I first came here, this place was awesome, now we seem to be in some sort of rut. C'mon, we may be talking to each other over the internet, there are still people reading what you say and it can be hurtful to some. Who cares about petty differences?
  16. I completely agree with Lionheart here.
  17. I'm trying this year to make at least a B in Algebra II. I've always been a C student in math. Other than that, I usually make all A's.
  18. In my opinion, the only reason to play a sport is because it's fun. What are you doing it for otherwise? Yes, I've been forced into playing sports by my parents, but I just had to sit them down and tell them that I didn't much care for them. Sure, they were disappointed in me, but I didn't care. You can always show them that you're much more suited for something else.
  19. I've only seen the first one. But, I remember me and a group of friends basically putting ourselves in those situations and talking about what we would do.
  20. I completely agree with Rocketman. However, if it was someone that I love... I don't know what I would do.
  21. Exactly. Your grandparents are your real parents. They're the ones that have been raising you while your mom just throws her responsibilities aside and does what SHE thinks is best for HER. If she's too far gone to sit her down and talk to her, then you really do need the law to step in.
  22. I just wanted to say that this is amazing. ^_^ It's up as my wallpaper right now!
  23. Lol. There is NO strategy to rock paper scissors. It's 99% luck. That's what makes this tournament so great!
  24. In all seriousness, some time in jail could do your mom some good. It could possibly bring her attention to the fact that she DOES need help.
  25. That's great!
