Where can I get lots of swamp tar easily? I'm looking for something that drops lots, or a shop that sells lots, or some other method. Anyone got any ideas?

Hmm, in that case, what is the average sort of drop from bronze dragons? If the drops are gonna equal out to what I'm spending on pots and sharks, I'll give them a go.

Proselyte? How's about maging, is there a way to mage them that doesn't require so much stuff? All that sounds kinda costly for my liking...

Just how tough are they? Check my sig for stats if you need them. I basically keep getting metal drags from chaeldar and fed up of burthorping them and decided i'll finally try them out, so if I do, what should I take/how should I go about it? Thanks for any help.

Ok thanks, I burthorped iron dragons, and thought I'd like to kill those big monkeys for big xp, which shouldn't be too hard with the altar there too :D

If I have a slayer task of monkeys from burthorpe, does it include all monkeys? like even the big mahoosive ones from on ape atoll?

I'm at it at the moment too, part as part of an xp competition, and to get to level 99. It's pretty hard to do it without losing any money, I bought sharks when they were still 1k then stopped playing, so now I've lost money on them by just not playing! Monkfish, if you have the patience, can be bought and sold with minimal losses, but it's hard and takes a while, plus maybe isn't worth it if you're burning them. Lobs however, are very easy to get hold of and fairly stable in price, typically going at 250 raw and 200 cooked, if you get lucky you may get prices in between those. Basically with that method, for every 120k xp you'll be losing 50k max, so you're looking at a lose of...5mil max there I guess for 12M xp. I feel like my numbers aren't worked out right given your monkfish estimate though...

I haven't played since like...November? Maybe the month before that, and I'm wondering what has changed, if anything major? Is there anything new happening that'd be worth me doing or anything?

I think it's a glitch in the loading, sometimes if things on your side don't load fully the bit in the data where it would have character name is still null, and thus all you see if a low level guy(because all their stats are null) called null. Its similar to what happens sometimes when you log in on rs2 and all your stats say 0.

I just mixed some marrentil tar, mixing two lots gave 85xp, so for one mixture(15 tar + 1 marrentil) the herblore xp you get is 42.5xp. This is actually more than an antiposion potion according to the herblore guide, so it may be worth mentioning in there too, it's better herb xp for your herbs, and saves vials.

I'd say al kharid, thats where I'm tanning mine, it depends whether you can afford to waste that extra 20k by doing it in canifis, which isn't helpful if you're already making a loss on what you're doing.

What is up with this place? I went over there the other day to sell some coifs, 10 to be precise when none were in stock, and I got 200gp, when I was expecting more. I thought nothing of it and forgot about it. Today, I went over there to check the store price of a mith chain to see if it was worth alching, but the price it gave me? 195gp or something silly like that! Then I checked the price for the uncut saph I had...2gp! What is up with this place offering such low prices? I think, given the previous coif incident, that the prices are the minimum general price for items(i.e when the store has loads of stock in). Has this store always been like this?

I can't find mention of it anywhere, but do you get herb xp for making herb tar(as 'fuel' for the new salamanders from hunting), and if so, how much xp do you get?

Is this the same cloth to clean poison off a weapon? I thought you can make that easily with a piece of silk and a bit of rum?

You need the 40 def to wear any sort of hides like people said, I imagine that'd be worth it for the immense range bonus it'd give you compared to highest leather. I think you might need to do d slayer to wear the hides though, but don't hold me to that, I did d slayer before all this malarky.

What if it's a crew member who is no longer a crew member? It could be Duke Freedom, and the fact he does a number of 'guest' articles is a red herring to throw you off! Also, check the postcard that was left when the editor was away for a week and see if the character was a male or female one, although that isn't usually saying alot in runescape :P

So you did! Sorry about that. How does it work with wildcard searches as opposed to specific word searches? I'd have thought wildcard searches would yield even more results than a specific word search? Do these forums ever get purged, and all old threads wiped out?

I just read in one of the other topics here that there's a 5th herb patch now? Where abouts is it? I haven't played for a few months now(as the date on the sig shows), so what else of note has happened in the last 3 months?

You mean if you were selling something to the general store assuming it currently has none of that item in stock? If so, that is correct. The high alch price is the price you'd get from a specialist store under default stock conditions. Eg A dragon long will sell to the general store for 40k, it will also lo alch for 40k, but will high alch for 60k.

I hear that spinning in lumbridge is now faster than spinning in seers, but even so, 40k flax is ALOT to spin, would take a solid day or two maybe(for spinning alone), I'd say you're better off just buying the strings. You gotta make sure you'll be able to sell the completed bows either way though, could take a long time to get rid of them.

Not really, the low alch value of something is 2/3 of the high alch value, and the high alch value for alot of things already isn't really worth it. Given that you use a nat for a low alch, thats already around 300gp lost, it's hard to make any sorts of profit low alching stuff.
