  1. Except that Vorago takes 4x as long to kill as Nex does. Thus, drops may as well be 4x rarer. Yet there can be multiple fights of vorago on 1 world. But are there usually that many per world? I admit I don't really know but if few are going to vorago then it doesn't really matter how many can.
  2. It's 1/40 for orb or wand and more like 3.5b/80kills so 43.75m/kill., 29m/hour. Reducing the price of seismics by a factor of 10 would bring it down to 2.9m/hour, less than Frost dragons, Glacors, Nex, QBD, KK and even some herblore. The price is only that high anyway due to the price people are willing to pay, this is the community's decision not Jagex's, they should not interfere with the market. Look at what happened with climbing boots, the nex update, it all screwed a lot of people over. Vorago isn't hard, its just finding a team who can boss with you for a decent period of time. Its never just the community's decision. There is a community aspect, but like all items supply and demand matters. Drop rates and boss mechanics will always have a huge part in determining what the overall price would be. If Jagex doubled the drop rate, the community would still be willing to pay the same amount but you'd have more on the market so the bossers would have to start selling to those unwilling to pay max cash once those willing to pay max cash had their wands. You act like the drop rate is pure and perfect and sent from god, that any change in it is unnatural tampering. Jagex created the drop rate and could fix this issue by changing it.
  3. Don't forget the routine checks for any hazzards in the floor tiles. Someone might trip. A guy trips one time and impales himself allowing a proponent of chaos to become a god and forcing himself to spend several ages regenerating and nobody will ever let him live it down...sheesh.
  4. I agree completely, but making them with the same resource as the armor is a bit of an odd choice, to say the least. Ok, yea, you got me there
  5. Its not that I disagree with the logic, storm, but I disagree with allowing players to sell gold for cash on principle. I'm also not sure that supply lines really need to be dealt with if they step up on banning buyers and show that you won't be able to keep the gold if you do buy it from gold selling sites. Bonds may not be as cheap as the gold selling sites but theres no chance of being banned or having that gold taken away. If Jagex could show buyers that the gold sites aren't a better deal by issuing temp bans, exp rollbacks and removing the gold then I don't think it would really matter if anyone sells to the gold sites at all because the sites will have a harder time offloading it.
  6. At the very minimum. They could be worth as much as 1.2B each or even max cash, depending on how much each energy is. Jagex is so out of touch that even supposedly the 'fun and cute' thing that they just put is hundreds of mils. I love the part where in the stream the two Mods were all like "you're going to want to get these, they're so fun and cute, and if you and 5 of your friends get together and you all have a different barrows pet, then something cool's going to happen!". Yeah because everyone wants to spend 600M on a Pet. Better to have pets as the expensive stuff to show off than armour and weapons.
  7. Necronium won't be out until if/when they release the smithing rework. I'm guessing it'll be like scales and tectonic energy in that you don't need a base armour. Then again who knows, maybe instead of the thread and stones of binding it'll require barrows armour.
  8. Build a zarosian temple, fill it in with dirt. Plant a cabbage field on top. Cook the cabbages along with brassica prime in a nice stew. He has feelings you know! No, he doesnt. Because he's a cabbage. and he's delicious
  9. Build a zarosian temple, fill it in with dirt. Plant a cabbage field on top. Cook the cabbages along with brassica prime in a nice stew.
  10. I thought he was saying that about at runefest and not in general.
  11. Fill it in with dirt, build a Zarosian temple.
  12. Pretty afk-able. You don't get items from them except for geodes which are basically the crystal form of nests, except you get gems or triskellion pieces from geodes. They basically are a higher level ivy.
  13. If I'm getting ripped apart just for saying people should use the same energy used complaining over years to work towards a goal over that same time, you are going to give someone a heart attack for saying what you said. EDIT: Oh it already happened You're assuming we aren't complaining while playing runescape at the same time. Its not an either/or proposition. I'd rather continue trying to make the game better than give up.
  14. Here's a thought, the system is broken. Bosses and merching shouldn't be the only system in game capable of making that level of cash. People can work harder than those at vorago and still have much less to show for it due to the current system. Why should bossers get the major items. They could have hand the t90 wand made from multiple items using different skills. A core drop from vorago that was more common, a specific rare log that you randomly get when wc'ing elder logs, a rare pearl found from fishing rocktails, a case made from smithing, etc. There's no reason to concentrate an item around just bossing.
  15. Same. Something about that face and head. She reminds me of Storm from the x-men is she had mystique's colouring.
  16. Also Seren and Zaros both have 4 ovals in a diamond shape on their forehead
  17. Ahhhh, ok. If it was making fun of him then glad its gone. I thought you'd had a video removed that was just him winning the award.
  18. It replaced the old Black Knights Fortress quest. Its pretty straightforward so not sure you'd need a guide.
  19. Even at 92 you'd have to craft 8000 ess/hr for 3m/hr RCing. Runewiki states you can craft 3000 ess/hr grahking, so lets say 4000 max? yeah nowhere near 3-6m/hr even at 92, let alone 45. Ok, yea, thats what I figured but didn't want to call him wrong because I haven't runecrafted in a year or two, at least not outside of span.
  20. They could lower bond prices a little but can't really lower them much past what the minimum price to buy those things with cash is. This probably would affect prices much. The same issue with giving players more, the most they could raise it to is like 18 days members/10 spins/200 runecoins which probably won't raise the prices much. However, I still don't agree with the methods in the article.
  21. Your suggestion to us mentioning that the game needs fixing it to just use the overpowered content... Yes, PvM'ers did earn the few skills that they use, however so did the skillers. The PvM'ers can use their skills to make billions, the skillers are lucky to make hundreds of millions, thats part of the issue. The game is skewed too far towards bossing. You mentioned nats making 3-6m per hour, I'll have to check into that because I haven't in years but what method is that?
  22. What was wrong with the video of Jake? I thought the whole Golden Gnomes thing was the weakest part of runefest but seems silly to target him.
  23. Because as it is, skilling is so unbelievably useless that I can barely think of an analogy to make about it. Currently pvm'ers can easily obtain everything for skilling but skillers cannot easily obtain everything for pvm. Its an issue that needs to be addressed.
  24. Wasn't sure if there was already a topic going discussing the servers but if there is then mods feel free to merge this.
  25. Update on Service Disruptions Hi everyone, Many of you may have noticed intermittent connectivity problems with our game servers, which have manifested as disconnections or prolonged lag. I wanted to personally make you aware of the current issues we are experiencing and what we are doing to resolve the situation. For over a year now, we have been the target of numerous DDoS attacks against our game. For those of you who do not know, a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), is an attack directed at an online service such as RuneScape.com, designed to disrupt the website, forums or game by making it completely unavailable, or disrupting traffic from legitimate end users such as yourself. Techniques vary, but essentially a DDoS attack involves overwhelming the online service with malicious traffic. This is - unfortunately - a growing plague within the industry that many online services struggle with, and RuneScape appears to be one of the biggest targets. Motives for launching these attacks vary, but the end result is the same. The sharp increase in attacks does tie closely with removal of bots and gold farming, and equally malicious websites like [BadSite] continue to target and take credit for RuneScape service outages. I wanted to take this opportunity to assure you that we have, are and will continue to work tirelessly, preventing as many of these attacks from affecting your gameplay as we can. We have recently made a multi-million pound investment in our global IT infrastructure to deal with the continued attacks and are working with a number of service and security providers to eradicate the issue completely. We are also working closely with worldwide law enforcement agencies to bring the people responsible for these attacks to justice. I also want to assure all our players that no personal information is at risk as a result of these DDoS attacks. We will continue to fight this threat and are doing everything in our power to ensure RuneScape.com remains available for you to play 24/7. Anyone with information to offer on DDoS attacks or their source is welcome to contact us at [email protected]. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Mark Gerhard Jagex CEO
